My DS13 is on the team. They have practice everyday but it's right afterschool & I have a car pool with my neighbor so I only have to pick him up 2x a week at 5:00.

Thanks for the info on the memory cards. Kingston's are good cards? I'd never heard of them before. And thanks for the tips on the photopass CD. I'd love to share with anyone if any of you guys would like to do that.

Gotta run!

They tend to be a little slow, but that's more for when you use them for PDA'a and things you have to use the card to read data. I only use them for my digital camera, and haven't had any problems yet, of course I've only had them since x-mas

JJ - I love those pictures! Thank you so much for posting them. Now if you would only let me rent some points some year...

If it does, I'll let you know. DH seems to think he's going to see something besides Disney next year ;)

Exactly. He mentioned wanting to see the "rest of the world". I told him next trip we'll spend more time in Epcot;)

jjohnson: Thank you for all those beautiful pics! They're really getting me excited for our trip. And that photo of the sunrise over the WL is absolutely stunning! But it made me sooo homesick - the WL is my favorite resort (so far).

Courtney: Yay!! Next month! :cool1:  :cool1:  :cheer2:

Your welcome. It's a beautiful resort - very relaxing. WL is #3 on my list for June. It all depends on the AP rates. We were thinking of the junior suite as it's the same price as the 2brm at OKW & includes concierge but we would lose about 1,000 sq ft.

Does anyone else suddenly change their mind when it gets this close? I do it everytime.

The deluxe room at the WL includes concierge? I didn't know that. I was wondering why it was much more than the YC when we were checking out rooms for this trip. I found it strange that the WL and AKL deluxe rooms had different prices - one was much less in price - but I don't remember which one.

Having a family of 5 really puts limits on where we can stay for what we can afford right now. Big decision next time...do we really want to save up so we can stay deluxe next time? I'll have to worry about that when time comes.

No JJ - the only way I would change my mind is if we suddenly came into some money and then I would definitely change to the YC!!!!!!! POR is a very pretty resort. I really liked it last time.

DM - I absolutely recommend renting points to stay at a DVC! This will be our second time renting (we stayed at the Boardwalk in January). It really allows you to stay in some beautiful resorts for an affordable price. You should seriously look into it for your next trip. :thumbsup2

That does sound like a good idea, especially if we could be in the Epcot resorts area. How did you go about renting points? I have not a clue...:confused3...and I tend to be one of those "nervous" people when it comes to trusting people I don't know to handle those things.

Whatever you do, do NOT add a 6th. It brings all the resort prices way up!
The concierge with WL was recently added a couple of months ago. I always thought it was strange that their deluxe rooms were the same cost as BC/YC but without concierge. At least now it's comparable.

I had 2 rooms booked at POR for a long time but finally couldn't bring myself to pay $350 per night for double beds & no balcony (sounds snobbish but I'm so not) so I said to DH (a carpenter that also likes to vacation way beyond his means:rolleyes: ) "you know for another $150 per night we could stay in a 2brm at OKW" and so it goes I switched again. But it makes me nuts spending over $1000 for 2 nights.

Basically, go over to the DVC Rent/Trade board, find someone with points available to rent, and ask them about availability for your dates. They'll check with DVC member services and get back to you. Then you can decide if you want to go ahead with it or not. You'll find lots of info over on the DVC Rent/Trade board about renting, and you can check out the point calculators to see how many points you'll need to rent.

I know what you mean about being nervous, but I've had the DVC member send me the confirmation letter they get, which shows the confirmed reservation in your name. If you're really nervous about it, try to find someone who's rented their points before and get references.

Anyway, hope that helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

I am so never adding a 6th...them thar tubes are ligated!
We were at first going between Swan/Dolphin, family suites at ASMu, or POR. We crossed off ASMu off our list right away as we really didn't want to go to a value. Now, I know that may also sound snobby. It really has to do with the whole surroundings there. I personally do not like that "in your face" gigantic theme. I like the calm and relaxing resorts. Next we crossed off S/D because of the DDP as we really really wanted to try that this year. POR was the right budget this time.

Oh, and I forgot...if we have to wait a couple years to go again, we will be going with my parents, brother and his family next time. I will probably have to go with the "concensus" there. Bro is a cheapo but I'll do my best and not give him a clue about the values (shhhhhhhh).
