Quick question about the "Best Nickname Generated" category:

Will the award go to the recipient of the moniker or to the person who created (and introduced) it?

I'm willing to go the second route, but it may require a bit more "research" -- and an "arbiter" to make sure I'm properly giving credit where credit is due! (You know how these competitions can get! )

I think just the best name, not who did the naming. Not all these are original!

I'm not going to bet Dole whips (I've never had one--it's on my list for my next trip, though) but I had a gut feeling that Wednesday would be the day. Here's a deal--if it IS Wednesday, I'll create a customized avatar for the first 5 people (finalists or non-finalists)who post on this thread once people start finding out they're in the top 10. (That's assuming the 10 aren't sworn to secrecy until the 2nd--but something tells me word will get out that "people are being contacted")

I agree with you Andy. Tomorrow it is. I'm hoping I'll be one of the first 5 people to post here! How cool would it be to have my own customized avatar?

By the way, you will LOVE Dole whips if you like pineapple. I'm proud to say that I introduced Doc and family to that tasty, refreshing, delighfully cool treat. In turn, his lovely wife treated me to a Dole Whip pin which shall never be traded!

Please don't say that! I've been lucky enough to keep myself distracted the past few days, but my wife is going NUTS with anticipation. She's a wreck! We've been comforting ourselves by planning a Disneyland trip (in the event I don't make it to the top 10).

The SPONSORS must want to see how we work under pressure, I guess.
