Hey Fleagle--just saw your blog while picking up my new sig (thanks btw!)--and I have to say that someone else's opinion of Jack never even entered my mind. To me, it was like Justin's theater pics (I think that was you Justin!). Anyway, I thought it was all about showing a piece of yourself and the lengths you go to to make life fun and magical for all those around you. After all, isn't that what this whole thing is about!

So for what it's worth, I think the Jack Frost thing fit perfectly! Just another way of spreading pixie dust!

Ah, yes. Indeed. I shall take "Best Foreign Language Film." It will give me something to do instead of facing the harsh realization that my prophetic abilities are worth even less than I originally estimated.

And, speaking of estimation, I'm out an estimated $12 to Michael, tothesea, and DisgeeksfromDC in D-whippage. But it was worth it--even I believed myself!

I can't take the wait anymore. If anyone needs me, I'll be in my closet, listening to the Tron soundtrack.

Quick question about the "Best Nickname Generated" category:

Will the award go to the recipient of the moniker or to the person who created (and introduced) it?

I'm willing to go the second route, but it may require a bit more "research" -- and an "arbiter" to make sure I'm properly giving credit where credit is due! (You know how these competitions can get! )

Please don't say that! I've been lucky enough to keep myself distracted the past few days, but my wife is going NUTS with anticipation. She's a wreck! We've been comforting ourselves by planning a Disneyland trip (in the event I don't make it to the top 10).

The SPONSORS must want to see how we work under pressure, I guess.

I'm not going to bet Dole whips (I've never had one--it's on my list for my next trip, though) but I had a gut feeling that Wednesday would be the day. Here's a deal--if it IS Wednesday, I'll create a customized avatar for the first 5 people (finalists or non-finalists)who post on this thread once people start finding out they're in the top 10. (That's assuming the 10 aren't sworn to secrecy until the 2nd--but something tells me word will get out that "people are being contacted")
