Thanks DISgeeks!

My pleasure! :thumbsup2

(Oh, this is completely OT, but has anyone see the Ladies Tremaine in action? They're hilarious! My family interacted with them at 1900 Park Fare during our visit last Fall. Anyway, my response (above) just gave me a flashback:

Lady Tremaine stopped by our table while I was loading up on food at the buffet. :rolleyes1 My DD forgot to request an autograph, so -- a woman on a mission -- I hunted down Lady Tremaine, secured her autograph, then politely thanked her for her efforts. "The pleasure was all yours!" she sneered. Too funny!

Now there's another CM who must truly enjoy her job. (Hmmmm.... Come to think of it, maybe a Disney Villain would be a fun "dream job"! ;) )

I do:yay:

I love Disney ABC games!!!

Are you just going to do characters or anything associated with Disney world?

I was thinking both. So far I made a notebook and wrote one letter per page so I can brainstorm (and borrow all your ideas)

for A I got:

Photo with Ariel
Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride
Animal Kingdom sign

Yeah, I got a ways to go...;)

Thanks Disgeeks!!!

What a great video!!!

Does anyone know if she was really a professional actress? She seemed so cool, calm and collected.....?

Kenny alluded to it in an earlier post, and -- when I ran a google search -- I learned that she made regular appearances on Star Trek. It appears she also has a few other acting credits to her name.

OHHH I was thinking only one thing per letter... that's cool!

When in doubt for any letter... check the Animal Kingdom. There is bound to be some animal with a funkified name.

B is for Barnstormer.... to complicated?

Great one! Last September she was tall enough at 26months to ride so I thought we'd give it a try...we were fine until she stepped in the car and started crying. So DD hands my DH her favorite teddy bear and they go on the ride together while DD and I watch.

She keeps telling us that "Gundther (the name of her Gund bear!) and Daddy ride Barnstormer" but not Mommy and her.

This year she says she will ride it...we'll see.:goodvibes

OK, while we are waiting, I am seeking your Disney (specific to FL, not CA) help.

I figured out my "new" craft for this trip. Last year I created a Disney Activity book for my DD to help her learn about WDW.

This time I'm going to make a Disney ABC book...once again, it will be part learning activities for plane and part scrapbook. So each page will have Disney characters or rides or something to do with Disney World on it and correspond to the letters of the alphabet.

So it'll teach her the alphabet and about Disney -- sounds good?!

I will also leave room so I can add photos later (like a photo of DD and Ariel for "A").

So now I need to start working on my list of letters...I think I will try for more than one Disney thing per letter.

Any/all help is appreciated! Who would like to play along?:goodvibes

I'll start a little bit through the alphabet:
F for Fireworks and Figment
G for Grumpy
H for Haunted Mansion
I for Imagination
J for Jungle Cruise

C is for Carousell
D is for Disney or Dinosaur
E is for Ellen's Energy Adventure or Expedition Everest
F is for Figment or Finding Nemo or FastPass :rotfl:
G is for Grand Floridian
H is for Haunted Mansion
I is for Ice Cream
J is for Jungle Cruise
K is for Kitchen Cabaret (no longer there I know, but it fits) or Kermit
L is for the Living Seas
M is for Mary Poppins or Monorail
N is for Nemo
O is for
P is for Playhouse Disney
Q is for Que (that was to easy)
R is for Rock N' Roller Coaster
S is for Space Mountain
T is for Tower of Terror (might be a bit scary for the little ones) or Thompson's Gazelle (Tommys we call them Tommys!)
U is for
V is for
W is for
X is for
Y is for the Yeti
Z is for Zebra

Ow, ow, ow.... my brain is cramping up......

Very cool idea! :thumbsup2 I'm in! :goodvibes

I'll try to think of a few and send them your way when I have a little more time! :)

'Ya know: Speaking of the Ladies Tremaine, "A" is for "Anastasia." (And "D" is for "Drizilla." "C" is for "Cinderella".... and "P" is for "Prince Charming." If you get lucky, you might even catch the "Fairy Godmother" [F] during your trip. ;) )

O is for

Ow, ow, ow.... my brain is cramping up......

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

"O" is for "Owl" from Winnie the Pooh. (He may not be in costume, but I bet you can spot him on "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" ride...)

Edited to add: Oh, and -- while this might be stretching it a bit -- Cousin Louie (from The Jungle Book) is an orangutan!

Ok... judging from my effort below, this is a bad idea... at least a tough one. But if you can use multiple things for each letter, maybe you could write her a little children's book with a poem for every page....

From Animal Kingdom to Adventureland
A trip puts it All in the palm of your hand
Amazing Attractions, Astro Orbiter, more
Await you Away from your resort's front door
Ariel calls you to Approach and join in
After an Epcot Around the world spin
Gather your Autographs, create some Art
And before you're Aware
You're Asleep with full heart.

Some of those rhymes are a little strained... but hey its a first Attempt.

Hey guys - - popping in to say hello!

Dana - glad to have you on board - great video! My wife recently started teaching English to juniors and seniors at a high school north of Pittsburgh so I can certainly appreciate your situation!

Justin, I grew up on the north side and went to Carnegie Mellon, so I envy your proximity to the Iron City!

And wherever you are Andy, I lived in Orem, UT for 8 years;mad props--way to represent!

Hey Marshay, I love this! This could be a second book and you could do a poem like Fleagle's for each page, with each poem highlighting the letters of her name. Your books were so great from last year! Oh, and good job Fleagle! :thumbsup2

Hello again! How fun for your daughter! We'll work on the alphabet list! If you'll all indulge me for a moment...after reading all the posts I'm just once again smiling that the CMO contest has brought everyone together here! Thanks for being a great place to visit. I also hope to validate everyone's dreams who entered! We all did it because we obviously love Disney and all dared to dream. Nobody knew for certain what "they" were looking for...I had rehearsed my little number with our 9 year old on the ride to school each day; drove him, his sisters, my DH, and all who would listen to me CRAZY!!Our 9 yr. old was my little cheerleader and we had many discussions about having a dream and working hard try to achieve it. About giving it your best shot and living life without regrets. Well, we had no camera and the Friday before deadline I told him I was not going to enter. I knew odds were slim to none anyway. He began crying. I asked why he was so upset. He replied that it really didn't matter whether or not I was chosen; it mattered that I followed my dream. Wow...So here's to all who put their dreams, their hearts, their energy, their resumes, their hope into entering and a great big CONGRATS to those chosen! It's all so very exciting!!!!! Hoping you're all enjoying a great weekend. I'm going to open some wine and watch The Birds or else read some books I picked up on Ben Franklin or Bob Dylan. They, with Walt Disney, Vince Lombardi, and the Dali Lama are my fascinations.:upsidedow

I've been dying to post the link but Dana is very modest! He's our best friend and the girl in the video is my daughter.

I thought that kids weren't allowed in videos unless they were your own children? I haven't watched it yet, so maybe her face isn't shown. I just wouldn't want a good video rejected because of a technicality.

Regardless, welcome Dana!
