I promise I'm working on it! LOL Photo Bucket won't let me sign-up for an account, which is REALLY aggravating. I've been trying to get these photos onto a webpage for the last HOUR. I gave up and I'm going back to my webshots, but there's about 340ish to upload, so it's going to take some time to get them all on here.

I can start as long as you don't mind not having links to pics that go along with the trip, or you'll probably have to wait another hour or so....lol, I just want to draw out the suspense as long as possible.

Why won't it let you sign up? I have a photobucket account if you want to use it. Just get them up! :rotfl:

Shelby, I don't know about the Jordan Knight lookalike. He was hanging out with the mega creepy Elvis mechanic yesterday. :scared:

Ok ladies, my pics are finally up, so I can begin this TR. Photo bucket kept saying I had invalid info when I tried to sign up, but all I was doing was picking a user name and password. I tried a hundred different things, but none worked, so I used my usual webshots instead. I may or may not get through the whole trip today as I have to study for a business stats midterm tomorrow and I missed 2 classes from this trip. BUT, I will at least get Day 1 done now, and hopefully 2 later on. Here goes!...

Thursday morning we had a relatively early flight out. I didn't have to get up until 4:30am, but I was so excited that at 3:45 when I woke up, I couldn't fall back asleep. I laid in bed until 4:15, though.

Mom and I both got up, got ready and packed our final things. Then dad drove us to Logan. Since it was early and a Thursday, it wasn't too busy, and we breezed through check-in and security. I was extremely excited, which helped me suffer through the early hour, however, I still needed my caffeine. Fortunately there was a Starbuck's at our gate, so mom and I stopped to get lattes and scones for breakfast.

In barely no time at all, it was time to board our flight. Now, we had decided to each bring a carry on and check just one tote that had all our liquids. Mom is not the most effective packer, so when we went to board, they looked at her little carry on, stuffed to the brim and said it was too fat. :sad2: So she had to check it last minute. We prayed it would make the trip.

We got even more excited when we got on board the plane. I had secretly wondered if maybe Jordan or Jonathan would be on board, but then I figured they probably would either fly down a little later or have already flown out the day before.

I had downloaded a few youtube clips to my iPod (thank you keepvid!) and began to watch one of the interviews. Shortly after, the woman seated next to me pulled out a magazine...not just any magazine, though...an NKOTB magazine. I pulled my earphones out and had to ask if she was going on the cruise. Of course! We soon learned Jamie was also booked in a suite on our deck, so we already knew one of our neighbors.

Finally the flight landed! Squee! And we proceeded to baggage claim. It was taking FOREVER. Our tote with liquids came out quickly, but mom's bag was taking a long time. I was getting nervous that they forgot to load it because I would have thought it would be the first thing off the plane. It did eventually come, though, thank goodness. So we grabbed all our belongings and headed out to grab a cab to the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables.

It was a relatively short ride, and it's in a beautiful section of the city. Here's an idea of where we stayed:

We were able to check in right away, which was great. We dumped our bags and went in search of a snack, since it was now almost 1pm and we last ate at 6am, our first vacation cocktail, and to scope out the scene a little bit. Every restaurant we went to pretty much served seafood and only seafood. I really don't like seafood even though my mom does, so we ended up at California Pizza Kitchen. We ordered caribbean sangria, southwest egg rolls, and spinach and artichoke dip. When we finished there, we walked around the area a little bit. Then we decided to enjoy the hotel pool. We lounged around, and I put my iPod in and fell asleep to the complete Danny Wood collection. (I discovered I'm in love with his solo stuff.)

Then it was time to get ready for dinner! We had 7pm reservations at Ruth's Chris. It was only a block away form the hotel so we got dressed and walked to it. Our waiter was great and let us take a really long leisurely meal. I had the BEST filet mignon of my entire life...better tha Grill 23, Capital Grill...you name it. This was amazing.

After we finished, we decided to check out this place called, "The Bar" that several people had told us was a low key hang-out for a few drinks. We had opted out of going to Danny's party because we were SO not shelling out the money for a VIP table, and I figured general admission would be a free for all. And I knew I had enough of that in the coming days, that I wanted something less stressful. This place wasn't really all that great, though. There was kind of a weird crowd there that night, and our drinks were TERRIBLE. Mom and I are both fans of Stoli Raz and soda water, but their soda water was sooooooo flat. So they just weren't good. I had a glass of wine, and after that we decided to leave. It was only 11pm, but we'd been up travelling the whole day, and we knew we had a looooooong few days ahead. So we walked back, got into bed, and got ready for...the CRUISE...

I'm sorry...totally realize this first day is not really very NKOTB-related...but we're getting started anyway! More to come...

Oh, and I forgot to add, if you want to cheat and check out ALL the cruise pics before the TR is complete, you can access them here: http://travel.webshots.com/album/572200446xdqFFR

You work at the most interesting place.

Seriously!

The Elvis guy just creeps me out. He had some kind of crush on me and used to show up in the lunch room whenever I took lunch or waited for me outside when I left. It was ok at first but then it just got a little out of control. He wouldn't leave me alone. So the fact that JK look alike is hanging around with him makes me not want to talk to him...ever.

Maybe Elvis guy thinks you look like someone he and all his cyber friends love and he's trying to find a subtle way to get a pic of you. Just a thought!

Crystal - did you ask how our diets were going? Mine has been nothing but crap for the last week. I've eaten Becca's tooth cake, subs, McDonalds, went to Chilis - everything has been HORRIBLE!!! Today I'm back on track though and I was surprised when I weighed myself this morning that I haven't gained any of the weight back. NO idea how that's possible!!

Today I'm on track again and I even did 3.5 miles on the treadmill. :) Congrats to you on doing so well. YOU GO GIRL!!!! :thumbsup2 It feels good doesn't it? When you take control of your food intake. I know I feel so much better when I'm exercising and watching what I eat.

Kim - the cruise sounds FANTASTIC!! I'm SO glad you had so much fun! I had no idea you took your mom! That cracked me up!!! I can't wait to hear even more details!! LOVE the pictures!! (I cheated and looked at them all!!!)

I'm so jealous about the cruise, sounds like so much fun! I too assumed that the crazies would ruin it for everyone.

Don't feel bad diet/gym routine has gone out the window the last few days too. My nephew's birthday party was Saturday night, the nephew that we took to Disney World with us last year. My other SIL, BIL, and thier 3 boys were headed home after the party Saturday night and were almost to thier house when a car came into thier lane and hit them head on, the police told my SIL that they think the driver was taking pills and possibly drinking too. :sad2: One nephew (10) was released Sunday morning, he had cuts and bruises. Another (3) was released yesterday, he was being held for observation for blood in his urine and vomiting but is fine now. My SIL was released yesterday, her right wrist is broken in 8 places and her feet were hurt b/c she was driving and was wearing flip flops that night, she is in a wheelchair right now. The other nephew (13) is still hospitalized and is having surgery today for his jaw (broken in 3 places) and his arm that is broken pretty severely. He also has 3 broken ribs. My BIL is in the trauma unit with 7 broken ribs, punctured spleen and liver and broken leg. All are expected to make a full recovery though, thank GOD for that. It has been a nightmare. I feel so bad for all of them as they are all in alot of pain. :sad1:

I was at the hospital last night until 9:00 and we picked up mexican food of all things and I ate and went right to bed... bad I know, right to the thighs.
Now that we are all confident that BIL will be alright I think we are going to go to the gym tonight though.

Loved the pictures Kim. It looks like you had a wonderful time. I'm especially jealous of your honeymoon pic with Joe! So cute! I can't wait to hear the rest of your report!

walkerag, so sorry about your family but so glad everyone will be ok, how scary for all of you :grouphug:

Kim loving the "cruise report" sound fun! I cheated to Shelby and looked at all the pics!;)

Yikes! Honey, you have more important things to worry about at this moment. So you have a bad week, pick it up in a few days and carry on. I'm thankful they are all making a full recovery.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I hope everyone is ok. Did the idiot that hit them get arrested? I hope so.

Finally some who is with me.

Tsk, tsk, you cheaters!

 Although it's getting harder with each passing hour.....

Especially when I don't have anything to do at work at the moment...:rolleyes1

Thanks guys :grouphug: there has definately been alot of praying in our family over the last few days but the doctors have said that BIL is out of the woods now, it also helps that they're all being cared for at the best hospital in Tennessee, Vanderbilt, which I also so happen to work at ;)

I'm not cheating and looking at the photos either, although Shelby did pique my interest with the Joe/honeymoon thing, but I will not look! :snooty:

:lmao:

No one really knows if anyone has been arrested or not. SIL was going to call insurance co. and police dept. today to file reports so she'll probably find out more then. I hope so though.

Wow, I somehow missed this post until some quoted it. I am so sorry to hear about that. I'm very glad they are expected to recover. It makes me sick to hear stories of stupid people who cause accidents like that :sad2:

walkerag, i think it was about two years ago I have a cusion who lives in Tennesee and him his wife and there 3 kids were hit by a drunk driver coming home from a high school football game, my cusions wife and middle son were killed.
