Yay, Crystal! So excited for you. I have decided that I need to wait to see what the next year holds for us before I can commit to anything. We are for sure moving again next summer, but I don't know when exactly, so the June cruise might not work out. We will wait and see. If it is anything like last year, I won't have any problem getting on the boat from the waiting list if I can do it. As it stands now, we move to Kansas for a year next summer and then it is looking pretty good that we will be moving back to Germany the following summer. Oh, the joys of the Army. How many times have we moved since our first NK thread started?

Not me. The second year the cruise was announced I cried because I knew there was no way I could go. This time I didn't even bother to click on the link to read the info on it. My how things change!

I think Crystal is going, right? We'll have an up close and personal review again! I wonder why they moved it from May to June? And is Sixthman doing it this time?

Yes, Crystal is going! Rose Tours is doing it again. Not sure about the date change but am happy that it gives other people, like teachers, the opportunity to go now! From what I have seen the pricing is the same as last year but this year it requires a $300 deposit instead of $500.

I wanted to go since I had to cancel last year's cruise. The dates just don't work for this teacher! June 7-8 are the last two days of school and June 11 is the last day for teachers. When I heard June I was excited....but not on those days!

Yep.....I'm going to battle the crazies. I'm thinking of it more as a cool vacay with my bff and the guys (whatever we get of them) is just a bonus. I'm going to try to steer clear of the crazies as much as I can.

Elena - totally bummed that it didn't work out. We would have had so much fun. No worries, I will give a full photo/video report. I'm excited to be able to do it once. I won't do it again though (I say that now). But I can't imagine spending that much money again. Hubby and I want to start doing some "us" vacations with just he and I. We never had a honeymoon so we'd like to be able to do that. We've been married for 12 years so it's about time.

Tomorrow is pre-sale. If I don't get tickets tomorrow I will try again Friday during the general sale. Wish me luck ladies.

Jenny and Karen - keep talking to me about all the negatives of cruising! It's odd because I didn't have much problem with not going before, but for some reason this year it's been really hard on me. The other day when the official announcement came out, I was crying. Of course it was just a horrible day as far as the way Nicolas was acting and being "that time," and then all the guys started tweeting about the cruise and how much fun it was going to be and everyone getting all excited....I just lost it. I keep trying to focus on all the negatives and why I wouldn't want to go, but I can't lie, I would LOVE to go!

Crystal, good luck today! I just saw on Twitter that there are only 12 TOTAL Catergory 1 (the cheapest) spots available! And on the official site, it says that all of that category will be released at the first on sale (today). Was that the category you are going for?

I wish I had something to say to help you feel better! Maybe staying off twitter, etc, would help with not feeling disappointed about it? If you're not surrounded by it then you can't feel you're missing much. Or think about how much more fun it'd be to take a family vacation or a you and Ddug vacation with that money. I'd much rather nap, have leisurely dinners and relax on vacation then line up to see the guys, fight off half naked, drunk gals vying for attention or going on 2-3 hours of sleep in hopes of running into one of them somewhere!

There will always be crazies, Crystal, and they will give you something to talk about for years to come! You are definitely going into it with the right attitude. From what I have read on twitter, the ones who have the most fun are the ones who are there to be with friends and have an unforgettable girls weekend. You will have a blast!

Thank you We've looked at so many places and haven't found one we love yet. I'm starting to get frustrated!

I haven't signed on Twitter in so long. I can't remember the last time I was on there. It has to be a month or two ago? Try to stay off there so you don't read all their tweets about the cruise! As for other NKOTB related info, you know you can rely on us.

Thanks girls. No worries Karen, I'm not bothered. It IS expensive, but I am not just going for the guys I am going to have a good weekend with my BFF, the guys are just a bonus. I actually find the crazies hilarious......so I will spend a lot of time just laughing at them. But I know I will enjoy myself.

Melody, we weren't going for the "cheap seat" we wanted a room with reserved seating and we got exactly what we wanted. We are on the lido deck with an ocean view extended balcony double cabin. I was going to go all out and get a suite, but I just could see it. To spring for another almost $800 for a couple of extra rows closer wasn't worth it to me. I'm happy with the room we got. I was in and done in three minutes. My confirmation is time stamped with 9:03 a.m. (I assume comcast is in CA). So it was easy and painless.

I will only do this once, like I said, but I wanted to do it at least once. Just to experience it if nothing else, and hopefully have a great time too!!! Now the wait.....9 months.........it'll go by quickly. I've already booked the hotel and I'm going to wait for airfare until it gets a little closer. Right now tickets are really expensive. I think I need to get a passport too, so I need to get on that. Lots to do......but I'm a planner, so I love it!!!

I promise a full report.

Crystal, a passport is not required for your cruise. No "closed loop" cruise leaving form the US requires one (meaning you leave and return to the same US city/port.) You'll hear many times that it is but isn't. I've cruised many, many times without a passport never has a second glance been given to us. We actually are setting sail in 2 weeks for a family cruise and none of us have passports. So unless you plan on using it in the future I'd keep the $140 for drinks on the ship!

Congrats on getting the cabin you wanted.

Passport laws changed last year and you are required to have one now. Just an FYI for your next cruise, Karen!

Karen's right; as long as your cruise begins and ends in the US, you don't need a passport. A birth certificate will do. It's good to have a passport incase you miss the ship and get stuck on an island, making it nearly impossible for you to get home without one. But as long as that doesn't happen, you're good to go without a passport.
