Myself and my family are heading to Disney in April for Spring Break 2006. I have a few questions....

1. Does anyone know where I can get any type of discounted tickets for 1 swim & 3 non-swim?

2. With us going in April, when is the latest I should purchase tickets, because it's my understanding that they only let a certain amount of people in per day.

3. Do you only get to swim with the dolphins once per day?

I am a huge dolphin lover and I have had this life long dream of mine to swim with them since I was five (I'm 28 now). I don't know if 30 min. with a dolphin is going to meet my needs and expectations...... LOL

Thanks for any help that you can provide :o)

DC doesn't offer discounted tickets. (unless you are a florida resident) they have different rates depending on what time of year you go. certain times (like april) are booked out well in advance. the park puts a cap at 1000 people per day. for the dolphins sake, you are limited to a session that lasts about a half hour and you're in a small group per animal. it doesn't seem like a long time, but it is definately worth it. I'd check what dates you're going to be here on DC's site to see if they have openings.

I heard at one time that they were offering an additional swim (for an additional charge) if they were not fully booked for the day. You might ask them about that.

When we went, there was a discount for Busch Platinum Pass holders...but it looks like they dropped that.

they're just to popular I suppose ... supply and demand ....

I believe Discovery Cove are fully booked until 22nd April 2006 so I suggest you book pretty soon.

I booked Discovery Cove today for 3 people (2 dolphin swim and 1 nondolphin swim) for March 21st. If you go to their website and pretend like you are buying tickets, there is a calendar of dates that are available. If I remember correctly, most dates in March and April are still open. I got slightly discounted tickets at the Magical Memories Travel website. To my knowledge, that's the only place that has discounted tickets. I paid $282.14 for the dolphin swim and $182.64 for the nondolphin swim. Beginning in 2006, the rate is the same year-round. There is no more high season, low season, etc. Lunch has always been included, but new for 2006 breakfast, all drinks and snacks are included. The only thing that costs extra is the video they tape of you and any photos you choose to purchase. And believe me, they are pricey!!

That is incorrect. AAA offers a minimal discount if you or someone you know has a AAA membership. The dolphin swim discount is $9.50 and n/d is $8. I know it isn't much but when you can save $20-30 it helps. If you need more info on how to acquire these, please PM me. I can also give you another discount but do not want to advertise it here.

There is no availability at all from 3 thru 20 April. The OP said she was going in April which is why I said she needed to book up quick :)

Yeah, I called Discovery Cove the day after I posted this and they told me they were booked for that whole week we will be down there. However they still had non-swim tickets.

I guess I need to face reality that this swim with the dolphin dream is never going to come true!!!!

Thanks again all for ALL your help!!!
