Discover Atlantis-anyone Do This On Their Own?

..... JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD DONE THE AQUARIUMS ATLANTIS, BUT NOT WITH THE DCL EXCURSIONS?

I JUST CALLED THE ATLANTIS RESORT AND WE CAN GO THROUGH FOR THAN ON DISNEY CRUISE EXCURSIONS.

ADULTS ARE $25 COMPARED TO $33 w/. DCL
CHILDREN 4-11 $19 COMPARED TO $23 w/. DCL
CHILDREN 4 AND UNDER FREE

WE HAVE TWO THREE OLDS AND W/. DCL WE WERE PAYING $23 DOLLARS A PIECE FOR THEM. WE ARE TAKING A CAB FROM THE PORT AND I THINK THAT I READ THAT THEY ARE $15 ONE WAY.

SO IT'S GOING TO COST US ABOUT $80 COMPARED TO $112. WE CAN GO WHAT EVER TIME WE WANT NOT HAVE TO BE ON A GUIDED TOUR. SO WE CAN TAKE AS LONG AS WE WANT.

We did this on our own. Very easy to do. Catch a cab and get the tickets and then tour. We went first thing in the morning, and it was nice and quiet. When it got busy about, 11AM ish.. we left and headed back to the ship for lunch. The best thing is you set your own time and schedule....

We did Atlantis on our own and booked a room at the Comfort Suites, adjacent to the Atlantis. Good thing is that this is a MUCH cheaper option than booking at Atlantis and they give you a wrist band so you can use the slides, water park, etc. Bad thing is that Comfort is a dump(really not that big of a deal since we didn't 'stay' there) worst thing is that we went last year in Nov and it was COLD and further, many of the slides just weren't open.

My advice is to SKIP Atlantis altogether. It is a waste unless you are going in the summer when everything is open. Nassau is a DUMP too, very very dirty and the people are scummy..

We are going on the 7 night Western Cruise in Nov and can't wait. If we went on the 4 night again we would just stay on the ship (except for CCay day!). The ship and CCay is AMAZING!!!!!!! Best vacation ever.
