Discounts at Ocalla Visitor's Center

Has anyone received a discount for a deluxe resort at the Disney Visitor's Center in Ocalla? You used to be able to stop and upgrade or get a non-reserved room at a pretty good discount. I think I read last summer that they had stopped this because of the many discounts that were available.

We are going to visit my mother when she has her surgery (1 hour north of Orlando) and thought about going to WDW for the weekend after her surgery and thought about waiting 'til we are ready to go. I know we can find a room off site pretty cheap, but would like to stay on site. If all goes as planned, we will be going the weekend following 7/10.

I spoke with a CM about this a couple weeks ago, for that very reason and she told me that Ocala now goes through wdtc, so you would get the same discounts that are here now. She gave me the phone number, which I can find if you want it.
