Since it's not listed on the special offer page of the WDW website if we tried calling today the Cast Members would say the booking codes are not valid, so would we have a better chance of calling tomorrow?

Good news for us! Free dining dates weren't good for us, and would much rather have a room only discount anyway.

Oh I didn't see that part listed until you mentioned it, so Monday we will be calling to get this discount. Now it will mean switching our dates in August to arrive on the 16th, however it's worth it to get the 35% off.

I had hoped for the week of 10/23 - 10/30 next fall which is not part of this deal. Moving to the last week of Sept will get us cheaper rate time plus this discount. I asked this on other board but will ask here too -- will it be that much hotter the last week of Sept vs last week of Oct?

We are just going 4 days -- my parents, myself, and my two girls who will be under 3 at the time. Park touring early, rest and swim in afternoon, return to park in evening for parade/shows/fireworks/etc. MNSSHP one night as well.

Thoughts/advice? Should I just move it to Sept or do you all think Oct would be better for us (with the hope that a discount will eventually come out for the week we want).

Think there will be anything for late June into July? I know last year we had a % off the room during that time (with exception of few days surrounding the 4th of July). Would hate to go and not have any deal this time, and our dates are set - flights are booked.

I originally booked the week you want to go , then changed to take advantage of FD and now I plan on changeing again going a few days earlier to save even more with the new room discounts.

It seems to depend on who you talk to about the weather some say it is too hot in September, some love it, I have been the 1st week in October and don't remember it being too hot.

I compared the weather, high and low temps and humidity for the past 3 years and it only seems to be about 5 degrees give or take but the humidity is higher.

And then there are the love bugs I think 2nd or 3rd week September

Since you're already planning on swimming during the hot part of the day I'd say switch it to September and save the money (or spend it on Mickey gear).

We booked the last week of September (which also happened to be the last week of FD) -- now the room-only discount is also ending at the same time. I know Oct 1 starts the fall season and it's a little higher priced, but I'm *really* hoping that two consecutive discounts ending 9/30 and 10/1 don't make for a very crowded last-week-of-September!

Just got off the phone an hour or so ago and used code YW3 for our May trip. Saved $2000 on our Honeymoon at the Grand Floridian / Polynesian!

I called some of our guests and told them to call and it seems the reservation hotline is down now for the night, prolly cause of New Years.

Yeah, our weather here in Texas has been very unpredictable and all over the place too. Makes life interesting - 40 degrees one day, 85 a few days later!

In past years, the general discounts for October 1-December 31 were not announced until mid AUGUST! I'm sort of in the same boat. We booked early the last week of Sept 2011 for free dining, and then we proceeded to go this year the same week.

The heat and humidity was so horrendous that we came home and changed 2011 into later October. We hit the lovebugs too, but that wouldn't make me change my date.

We had our 3 year old with us, so we went early and took a break mid afternoon too. The only problem there was that AK and MK close earlier than they do in peak months, so we only had about 2 hours once we got back into the park. Throw in a dinner reservation and you've just eaten up the rest of your park time. It was pretty frustrating, but the kiddo needed his nap.

So we're hoping for a late Oct discount too. I'll NEVER go in Sept again. It was well over 90% humidity which made the 90+ degree heat even worse. I heard the humidity broke right after we left and that it was much more comfortable. I'm definitely not a heat girl!
