Hi, my sis is beginning to plan her Wishes Wedding (just waiting to stop playing phone tag with the planner) and knows that they offer room and ticket discounts for her guests. She was wondering if it's a set discount or if it varies based on guests?

Is it a flat rate off rooms or a percentage?

Thanks for any info!

As far as I know it's a set discount, no matter how many people you have. It is a percentage off of the room rate, but I'm not sure what that percentage is. I know that the higher the room rate, the higher the percentage of discount. HTH! :goodvibes

It does help, thank you. She's getting married the weekend before Easter so pretty high room rates. Hopefully she'll be able to offer her guests a discount that will bring those rates down enough to make the trip doable :)

Is it like the 20% value, 25% mod, 30% deluxe offers (even if numbers are different) or is it 20% during value season, 25% during regular season, 25% during peak season, etc? (again, even if those percentage numbers arent the actual numbers).

Would anyone be willing to share what the % was for their Wishes Wedding?

It's based on the level of the resort - this is what I have.

Value - 10% discount

Moderate - 15% discount

Deluxe -
10% - Poly, WL, AKL

30% - Contemporary, Yacht and Beach Club, Grand Floridian
Contemporary Wing

Hope that helps!

Thanks Erin! That does help. I wonder if that's a flat rate for the whole year or if it changes as the seasons do?

For the ticket discounts, it's $20 off of a park hopper ticket.

The discount is a flat rate - the room rates fluctuate with the seasons. When is she having her wedding? I can message you my rates for April 2011 if that helps.

The ticket discount is $20 off a park hopper ticket. Whether you buy one day or 10 it's $20 off.

Wow, that would be very helpful! She's planning an April 2011 wedding too. It is late, I know but there was a possibility her fiance would be traveling out of the country that month. They just found out a little bit ago that he wouldn't be. She wants to do it so that I can attend because as a school teacher, I can't get just any day off.

Great to know about the tickets too! The room discount is a much better deal, but a discount is a discount right :thumbsup2

Erin, thanks for the info! My sister booked GF beach (10am) Narcoosees for brunch, and UK Terrace for her DP today. She's blocking out rooms at GF, CB, and Pop and the discounts were exactly as you said.

It's so exciting. She got the date she wanted, the time she wanted, and the ceremony location she wanted. She originally wanted the Napa room for her brunch but her planner told her that the Napa room doesn't do brunch, only breakfast or lunch and that the lunch is just sandwiches. Narcoosees will be so much better because it's right there at the GF. She was hoping for her DP in Canada, but really, is just as happy at UK. She's just happy that something is available that night.

Good luck! I'm sure she'll have more Q's for me to ask you :)
