DISCon Buddies?

I apparently missed this thread (or I'm just losing my memory, one of the two), and since the search is, again, disabled...

...what are the DIS Con Buddies? Is that where someone going represents someone not going?

no, I don't think so. I think Nancy or AngieBelle was matching up names.

Yes! It's an idea I came up with a few weeks ago in which DIS-Con-ers pair up with people who aren't going and represent them. Nancy paired up all the names we got, but you're welcome to find a buddy on your own or get more people who are interested to pm me and tell me about themselves so I can match people up.

Here's some of the things I was planning to do to represent my "buddy" at DIS CON

1. Get a picture and make a button for my person and wear it on my lanyard or person - so my buddy will be with me during my adventures. (I have a button maker so this is not a big deal!) paras4ri was kind enough to provide me with a BEAUTIFUL pic and so all I need is to get my supplies out and make it.

2. Since Gail and I had not crossed paths much here on the DIS before... I am using this time to get to know her - which is a great chore I might add! (what a nice way to make a new friend) I hope to get pieces of info about her interests - likes and dislikes... so that I might find something "appropriate" as a momento for her DIS CON adventure that I might bring back for her.

3. I intend to take a picture postcard at EPCOT and send to her - so she can share while I am there.

4. I intend to take lots of digital pics to share when I return.

... well that's it for now. Any other ideas?

So Rajah.. I have room for another photo button... are you up for it?!
