All of the poses are just too cute. I will share a pic of my daughter. She is a total ham.

This one is so typical Kaedyn. She is usually cocked to one side with a hand on her hip.

And for good measure, this is the Brighton:

Your kids are ADORABLE! I am pretty sure I have a pick of my one year old doing the "Brighton"!:rotfl:

Here's my work for the day. It took approximately 6 hours to do the work. Still need to fray check the ribbon and attach the lace on the hem. Or should I just hem it? What do you think?

I plan on making a peasant top to go with it. Maybe out of gauze or batiste.

This is beautiful and I think the lace hem completes it perfectly.

Love, love, love the outfit!

Happy Birthday Emma and Noah!!

Does shirring around the neckline looks better than using elastic in a casing? I think you can do it that way as well?

I don't really think one looks better than the other, they are just 2 different options.

Ok this is what I have been up to tonight. This is the skirt and shirt that I made out of my $0.01 panel. I bought the last of the cream lace and it wasn't enough to go around the skirt. So I just used some that I had on hand.
th_CIMG0525.jpg

This is DD's Valentine's dress that she wanted. I just bought the shirt cause I didn't want to deal with a bodice tonight.
th_CIMG0526.jpg

Wow, you are fast!! You did a wonderful job on both outfits!

OMG! My DD8 is Megan as well! Spelled the same way what a small world!! Right now I'm going through the 'You have 10 more minutes until the bus comes. Are you dressed yet???' morning routine. Why can't they get ready in the morning by themselves? It's hard enough for me, never mind two other people.

Neat! Is your younger DD in Kindergarten or did she just turn 5? Megan gets ready pretty well on her own now, but Wyatt still wants help. I do have to nag to keep them both moving in the morning, though. Guess that's what mothers are for. :confused3 :lmao:

Okay...all I can say is
WOW!!!
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Just when I start feeling good about myself, I go through this thread....sigh...someday!:thumbsup2
Great job on EVERYTHING! If I had more free time, I'd quote all of you and make specific comments, BUT, my gaggle of children await!!!!

Where in Southern California? I lived at the beach! Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo!

:woohoo: Oh my goodness, I grew up in Manahattan Beach. I LOVED IT THERE!!! The first time I moved out of my childhood home, I rented a condo in Hermosa Beach and then I moved into an old beach house that was converted into two tiny so-called-apartments. It was the smallest and oldest house I ever lived in BUT (and this is a good but) it was right across the street from the SAND!!! :woohoo: :cloud9: I LOVE THE BEACH!!! I MISS THE BEACH!!! I AM A TOTAL BEACH GIRL!!! LOL OMG I suddenly feel very homesick!!!:sad1:

I'm so jealous, my kids need a signature pose!!

So, here's The Matthew...

IMG_1831.jpg

And of course, the Emily...

IMG_1784.jpg

I lived in So. Cal for 5 years, we lived in Palos Verdes and LA (1mi east of Bev Hills). I can't say that I miss it much, except right now when it's freezing cold here, but I'm a midwestern girl so glad to be home.

Ohh I love PV...I attended Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance and my friends and I would go up to PV on weekends. We used to love to ice skate up at that mall too. Well I miss the beach and all my friends there however, I could never afford to move back there and live where I wanted to live! Besides most of my family has gone back to Michigan so I LOVE IT THERE TOO!!!

Okay I can't find the picture but I have a 'Matthew' story. DD was about 3 and she was in the livingroom while I was making her lunch. Suddenly I hear 'MOMMY HELP' I go running into the livingroom look around can't find her.:confused3 I run down the hall and she shouts, 'No come back.' So I go back into the livingroom, but this time I walk around the couch and there she was on the floor with her butt stuck in one of my plant baskets. Feet sticking straight out - butt completely stuck.:rotfl: I laughed so hard I and ran to get the camera. I'll find it and post it here. The funnest thing was after I got her out I asked her how she did it and boom she dropped right into it again. hysterical:laughing:

:lmao: :lmao:

I love the poses! Leslie, When I think of an "Emily" pose, I think of that one where she is glancing over her shoulder. I think she is wearing the Tink with the elastic straps. She is so cute in that picture and looks like a model.

Anywho, this is what I did today! I am so happy to be finished!

Darn that dog! He gets into every picture! I didn't see in through the window of the house until now, lol!

I love the little doggie...;)

Steph - you mean this one? Yeah it's a much better pose, but not nearly as funny!

th_IMG_1859-1.jpg
th_IMG_1738.jpg

Yes, that's what I think of when I think of her. She is so darling in that pose.

Oh, I really like this although I don't think my dh would like the big face look either.

Thanks! Yes, the big faced look is an acquired taste, I think!

That is too freakin' funny! At first I only saw your DD doing her face and then I had to stop and look at your son :)!

Hmmm, I have some big Minnie head panels. I'm trying to make something with one right now. Where her head is usually outlined in black, this one is purple and I keep forgetting to get purple thread to applique. I'll see how it turns out, then maybe I'll do a Minnie head panel pixie dust giveaway!

That is my all-time favorite. I remember seeing it on your PTR. I even told DH about it while we were on our trip. It makes me laugh every time!

Showing off Flounder

th_100_2215.jpg

She wanted this in here, to show off her house:

th_100_2216.jpg

The pillowcase part is a little stiff, hopefully after we wash it a few times it will soften up. My husband was so funny, he saw me cutting up the pillowcase and said, are you just going to leave Flounder there? You should put him on the back. So I did. When I finished the top last night he said, It's cool, but I'm not a fan of the big face. Why does her face have to be so big? I guess you have to really like the big faced princesses to like these outfits, lol!

Oh, the scalloped edge skirt was so easy! It took a while for me to do, probably because I am slow, but it's wasn't hard at all and the directions were terrific. Next time I might attempt it with tulle, but I do like this look so she can wear it to school and Disney. Thanks Carla!

This looks great!!!!!!!!!! You did a great job!!

Ok, I sewed my first outfit for myself! :lmao: Actually, it only required one straight seam down the back as it came off the bolt like this. You just buy two inches more than across the chest. I was looking for anything with animal print and ran across this. They had about 4 or 5 other types. They also had shorter ones for little girls.

dress002.jpg

Becky, DD19, says that I have to have straps (and I agree - the disadvantage of not having much on top). I haven't decided whether I'm brave enough to wear it to Animal Kingdom or whether it will be my swimsuit cover for the pool and water parks.

Now for the question: What do I do for straps. The bottom doesn't need to be hemmed because it is a finished edge. However, I can cut some off the bottom to make the straps and then hem it. Or is there something else that I could do for straps?

love these :)

I think the stripwork jumper is quick and easy too. I'm sure you could knock one out in no time!

That's good to hear as I have that pattern now so want to try it :)

Looks fantastic - well done :)

How sad is it that I'm thinking of doing the scallopini skirt for me?
Heh.
Don't forget, I wear my Pooh toile skirt with pride.
:rolleyes1

You have to show pictures - I'm trying to think of what I can wear - being the biggest disney nut in these parts :rolleyes1

I like these outfits :) (being a newbie I haven't seen them before :)
