So, that's it! I'm going to go pack now!

These are all so great! Did you by any chance make the Minnie dot dress? I love it. It is my favorite! I want to CASE it but don't know what pattern to use. We were on our Disney cruise last Valentine's day! It was so fun! They had lots of good photo ops with big hearts made out of balloons. DD got some cute photos with Donald.

Wow, you are fast! DIdn't you just show us your new fabric stash??? Both of the outfits are great, but the blue one is my favorite. Love the appliqued flowers. I love that cordury fabric too. Where did you find it?

The fabric I used for these outfits came from Wal-Mart. The cordurouy was on clearance. I had never seen it before they put it on the clearance rack. They had four different prints. These two were my favorite.

The cordorouy was easy to work with. This was a thinner than normal courdorouy. I'm trying to post a pic of DD wearing the blue one but Photobucket is not coorperating.

I reallly like this shirt! Can you tell me what Frankenpatterns are? Your own creation?

Thanks!

UMTerp
A frankenpattern is where you use different parts of different patterns. The bodice is from a sundress pattern. I wanted sleeves on the shirt so I used the sleeves from a different pattern and the pants are capris that I lengthened into pants and they came from a seperate pattern. Like Frankenstien's monster was made from different parts well so is this outfit.

I just wanted to say I think it is great you celebrate Chinese New Year! I have to run and mail the rest of my Chinese New Year cards. We plan to go to Epcot to celebrate CNY in the China pavillion (it has become a tradition). Sadly it is the one event all year I don't make a "custom" for. DD wear her silks from China:cheer2:

My husband and I went to Xinyang, China in November to spend time w/ the kids at the Welfare Institute there. It was life-changing and we have submitted our application for adoption. We are not eligible to adopt from China due to health reasons but we are adopting from Vietnam. Anyway, we are a part of a wonderful adoptive community here and so many of the children are from China. We have been sending resources to Xinyang through Half The Sky. The snow and ice has really made situations there much harder. Happy Chinese New Year!

All I can say is WOW mindy that does look pretty hard- but the results are gorgeous!!!!!!! I know I said it before bout GREAT JOB!!!! :worship: :thumbsup2 :worship: :goodvibes

WHAT??!!!??? I got a worship smiley???!!!!!! THANK YOU ! You guys make me feel so good about my things!

Now do you want to make one for me? :rotfl: I looked at your instructions website and it looks hard!

:rotfl: Sure, what size are you?;) :rotfl2: The instructions actually helped alot, because I had the material cut and laid out but I just couldn't figure out how to sew it together! But I then realized that the seams are exposed, totally against what we normally do! So after that it was pretty easy! I think I could make another one alot faster, than the weeks it took me to do this one!:rotfl:

I forgot to quote, but someone asked about my little one! She still is not 100%, but it is just a bad cold this time! I can handle that a lot better! Thank you for asking!:)

I wanted to share some of the boutique/customs my girls wore to Disney last week. None were made by me. Lori (taylor*tot*designs) made quite a few for them!

Your girls are just too cute! I love all the outifts!
Lydia saw the picture of the stepsisters, and now she's thinking that she would like me to make her the Pink dress (which stepsister is that? Anastasia?) for when we eat at 1900 Park Faire! I think it's the pink and the red hair that got her!

Still feeling a bit cruddy today, but I did get two skirts made for the Hannah Montanna concert movie. Although, Arminda and I decided we really liked her Hello Kitty jeans with her HM t-shirt better! That's ok though, she'll wear it another time!

I'll have to catch up with the thread tomorrow or later today, so don't get too chatty! ;) :rotfl2:

This is what I have been working on today. Both of these outfits are Frankenpatterns. They are from like four different patterns.

This is the first one.

This is the shirt.

This is the bottom of the pants.

This is the second one.

That is so exciting! Make sure you keep us informed on how your adoption process is going!

I didn't realize your name was Heather, are you about 30 years old? ;) I've noticed that almost everyone I've met named Heather is a few years younger than me.

Here is the link Heather and for anyone else that wants to vote.

This is just a link to the Photography board, the thread is nearly at the bottom of the page now. She is in Group 3 of 4.

Isn't China a fabulous country?! Our DD is from China, and we can't wait to get back for a homeland tour. Best of luck with your adoption from Vietnam. I hope it's a speedy process for you. Happy CNY!

Okay Heather, where is that pic of the new skirt???? I wanna see it!(insert whiny voice)!:rotfl:

Aw, thanks for noticing! I'm working on getting the pictures uploaded. But, photobucket says it's down for maintainance right now.

Hi! It has been so long since I posted anything. I posted maybe 2 things on the old thread and have been lurking a lot since. I have gotten the bug to start sewing again. We are planning a trip to Disney in July(I know we're crazy) along with our China adoption travel group reunion in Ft Lauderdale. So I want to make a few things for my kiddos to wear. I have been pouring over the YCMT website trying to decide what to do. I definitely want to do a stripwork jumper and some capri pants. I also noticed the romper pattern. It really looked cute. Have any of you made a romper from this particular pattern? I would like to know if it is as cute as it looks. Thanks in advance. I love coming here everyday and seeing all the great creations. You guys are so inspiring!!!

I went and voted for Parker! She is soooo cute! I have a pic of my one year old asleep in the stroller with her head on the snack tray! It is sooo cute, but I can't find it! If I do I will post it!

I have not amde the romper pattern, but I highly recommend the jumper pattern.

Thanks to all that have voted for Parker's pic! I love to see sleeping babies. I'm sure all your sharp eyes noticed but did you see her stuffed Animal Kingdom Minnie peeking over her shoulder? Too bad she didn't have a custom on that day!
