Jeanne, sweetie, you did nothing wrong. I absolve you:thumbsup2

:rotfl: Thanks t...as long as you still  me...:lmao:

I had asked about 8 -9 months ago to have my pics taken out of that photobucket account. I was given a password went in took them out. I don't mind posting them here but was assured they would never be added. it is a public photobucket. now they are in there. please take them out. don't just block the faces. take them out please.
Lori

I think in that time period the stewardship of the photobucket account has changed and they probably just forgot to pass on the word to keep your photos out. I'm sure they'll get it fixed for you.

New Update on my Aunt.

I just talked to my sister (who drove STRAIGHT thru from TX to Michigan, but did make it safely). They are planning to move my Aunt to the "step down" unit TOMORROW instead of Tuesday like they originally planned :cool1: :cool1:

:cheer2:

That's wonderful!! It's got to be a load off of your mind. I know how frustrating it can be, being so far away from family, when something happens. I'm so happy to hear the great news...:flower3:

Enjoy!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :dance3:

Good News! I am glad to hear that she is recovering well.:wizard: I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.

So last night I made DD10 a minnie dot halter for our "ditch the wedding party, we're going to Disneyland!" trip on June 8. I made up the pattern--okay I sort of CASEd a shirt I bought her from Gymboree :scared1:  :scared1:  but I made a pattern and a reversible halter all in an hour! Now that I have the pattern it will be really quick. I like how it turned out. However, DH took DS8 to Canada for a special trip to Grandpa and Nana's and I gave him my good camera. I took pics with my old camera, but now I can't find the USB cable. Why can't they all just have universal USB cables?? :headache:

I don't think it was out of the blue at all!!!!!!

casing has nothing to do with patterns and fabric etc.....it is the designed aspect of stealing everything.

I think sometimes people can only take sooooo much when the same people over and over and over again just copy....... This is a board about sewing disney customs after all.

I agree. One minute we are all lovey dovey supportive, the next minute, I'm feeling ready to run and hide. I'm not even sure what I did wrong, but I feel like I'm guilty for getting inspiration from others.

I'll always be lovey dovey...cuz i know how to :duck: :lmao:

Let me say - that I have never ever ever ever bought or owned a knocked off handbag. I love my coach!!!! or coaches I say!! I have way too many to count. I hate knockoff brand names or purses!! I take a lot of pride in owning my real purses. and yes I have paid more than my mortgage before in one purse!! I LOVE THAT PURSE.
of course I do obsess about purses. I have a coach watch, sunglasses. never the shoes though. And I hardly ever buy the C's on the purse. those are the ones that are easily knocked off and I would never ever ever think of someone thinking it was a knockoff!
Lori

I am EXACTLY the same way about my Coach bags! I'm a Coach snob...I like the stuff that isn't knock-off friendly...and I don't buy the shoes either, for that same reason!!!

I just got my "late Spring" Coach bag...soon it will be time for the "EArly Summer"...and then the "late summer"...and of course the DISNEY Coach...

I don't have a problem...really I don't...

*ahem*

:flower3:

Hi Mindy (my*2*angels) and Miss Cammie~
You know that marriage workshop my DH and I took that I was talking about last week??? Well, there was one session dedicated to the fact that the most important thing you can give your children is a great marriage. Not toys, not cell phones, not taking them to tons of extracurricular activities, (not Disney vacations  ). Though they are nice things, they aren't the most heavy-hitting, long-lasting, stability-building things. One of the ways to show your children a great marriage, ironically enough, is to spend quality time alone with your mate. Long story short.....have a great vacation! :cheer2: You're doing your kids and your marriage a favor!! :thumbsup2 I don't have any experience with the Calms Forte but it sounds terrific! ;)

That was one great workshop!!! I totally agree...showing your children what a loving marriage looks like is more valuable than any material thing!

you made me snot diet coke out my nose...OUCH!!! I am SO classy that way!princess:

I love the dress. Love it. It's so fun and bright and perfect!!!

Are you letting Miss Ireland keep this one?

so so SO cute!!!!

AimeeG I am sorry someone took something you created and worked hard on and is selling it on Ebay. I would contact Ebay or just wait for Disney to catch up with them since they are technically stealing Disney's designs which are registered and copyrighted.

It is legal for individuals to use clip art for their own personal use but to sell it violates copyright law.

Also, I think it is naive to think that using mass produced fabrics to create a dress using a mass produced pattern is going to result in a one of a kind outfit.

Personally, I think each of the "Friends around the World" Outfits are unique. But at the same time there are thousands of yards of that fabric out there and it isn't one of a kind.

We are here to share ideas and compliment one another not debate copyright law. So I hope we can get back to the original topic of this thread.

I used to work for a corporate Law office, filing Patents and Trademarks around the world.

I don't know if she will wear it or not...Alexis is the one I made it for, but it's HUGE on her, and after I topstitch, I don't alter... I hate ripping things apart...I might let it hang in the closet and see what happens..:rolleyes1

I have got to tell you this....the direction this conversation is going tonight is very depressing. I have been "on" this thread back from the original one and my daughter, AliKat99, was on it from the beginning. If the "oldies" remember I was one of the first ones to look for fabric inspiration in bedsheets, made one of the first 3D Pirate Mickey appliques, did the first Pumpkin Mickey Head applique. I have helped others when I could from sharing some of the sewing techniques I have picked up in my 50 years of sewing, or scanning into the computer a needed page of a lost Princess dress pattern guide I happened to have in my stash. I have even learned a few things like the Dental Floss gathering trick. I did my first Frankenpattern when I was 12 years old when I combined elements from 3 different ones to make myself a dress. My first custom outfit where I designed my own pattern was for Alikat99 when she was about 6 months old and I was 18 yrs old. When a person uses a commercial pattern or even several commercial patterns there will be outfits that look VERY similar ESPECIALLY when your creation is themed around Uncle Walt's creations. OK I will get off my Soap Box now....Nana

oh do your kids have any custom clothes. Love to see the wee ones in custom clothes... promiss no casing
oh you forgot to post there ages?

Nope just some Greggy girl, Cache and Gymboree for the my girl (5). She does have a purple coach clutch though :rotfl2: They boys (7 & 2) they get Gymboree and Target (they are way too rough on their clothes). I would love to get my daughter a custom or two.

Out of curiosity, I have not seen a Daisy outfit, is she secretly not loved or just lack of stuff available, my daughter loves her

I was going through the archives and found an outfit, that is Disney related that I'm not sure if I ever posted pictures of...I liked the jeans..hated the top...LOL
It's funny to see how bad my sewing skills were then...

you must be an ebay pro then to have greggy girl. she started as a custom seller years ago.

time for you to buy a sewing machine and make a daisy outfit.

you also need a siggy!!!!

Wow, looks like I missed a lot today. ;)

A quick update on my FIL. He did the stress test this morning and made it thru it. The techs did not stop him, nor called his dr, so that is a good thing. At this point we wait on the dr to call him and see what he says. I imagine it is nothing too major that cannot wait until we get back from our vacation.

Hi Nana, I was just thinking about your Pumpkin Mickey Head applique today! We are going back to Disneyland in October. I don't think my applique skillz are ready for that one though.

it is good to discuss things with one another. it is not targeted at anyhting or anyone. it is just a conversation and everyone was commenting on it.

I don't think the commercial patterns usage are the problem.

I was thinking it was a little depressing too...all week we've been discussing doing a kind thing for someone who suffered an unimaginable and tragic loss. That is the spirit that I love about this place...and really that kind of loss puts things into perspective...at least for me.

I love your stuff Nana...I think it's brilliant. I'm so glad you share your art with us!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Ireland sure has grown up!!! I like the top!!! It's not bad at all...says the girl who is afraid of the sewing machine!!!:rotfl2:

Did you post in feedback how she/he did not author the book, it is a shame that somone is benefiting off her work. I see all the awesome stuff in the creative disigns forum and it makes me wonder. Put a watermark on your stuff or created by.

I had already left feedback way before I knew it had been copied unfortunately.

I agree. One minute we are all lovey dovey supportive, the next minute, I'm feeling ready to run and hide. I'm not even sure what I did wrong, but I feel like I'm guilty for getting inspiration from others.

Hope we can go back to lovey dovey!

Don't feel bad at all. You know me and I am happy that Dallas likes it. When you see it think of my DD and now it was made out of love. Honestly Karma gets you every time and I am not worried about that seller! I do however do not hand out my pdf's any longer. They are out there if anyone wants them. I cannot stop them.

Thanks Aimee! I do look at it and think of you and Hannah sitting there night after night cutting them out together.

Awesome! I am so glad to hear she is doing well.

OMGosh..I'm speechless. Your talent is amazing. I would pay a mint for those. I just have oodles of pictures sitting in my computer that would love to live in those books. :lovestruc

I too would love to have my pictures organized, they are all over the place!

So last night I made DD10 a minnie dot halter for our "ditch the wedding party, we're going to Disneyland!" trip on June 8. I am in the same boat, can't find the cord to go into the tv for the camera I use most! Why can't things just be universal!
