Hello friends,

I haven't had a chance to catch up. Work and life have been really busy. I have made a few things that I wanted to share with you.

This was my inspiration for an outfit for my DD10 (Thanks again for whoever posted it for me, sorry I forgot who it was...)

DD thought it was a little over the top for her age so I had to scale it down some. Since she can not wear tank tops to school, I made this type of top:

Next, I made this top for her:

Tie closure

Ribbon trim

I cut off a pair of jeans and added ruffles and ribbon to match both tops. I was way too lazy to do the buttonholes for the ribbon because I have a 5-step buttonholer. Sorry, first picture is a little blurry...

I made a scrunchie too:

Can you tell what pattern you used for the top? My DD is about that size and I have a hard time finding anything I like that fits her. Seems all the cute stuff is for smaller sizes. Since she'll still wear it, I want to sew it. Love this top!

I left the screen door open and they eventually left. Then replaced the weather stripping under the door where they snuck in at..icky

This is my week, in a nutshell...hope you all get a kick out of it...
First it started with Ireland losing a tooth, that wasn't really loose..

This prompted a huge Gala in the honor of the missing tooth in the form of a Webkinz tea party, thrown by Lexie...

Well...since it was an impromtu tea party, our two uninvited guests didn't have time to dress...( and yes, there are two, and they were on my screened in patio..making baby snakes..eeek

Well Evil Pirate Lexie, decided since the snakes were underdressed, she needed to scare them away in her new pirate night outfit...(ignore the yellow ribbon, I didn't get the black one put it yet..LOL)

Well our cat Abbey was so excited over the snakes coming for a visit, she decided to get into my sewing cabinet and redecorate the kitchen..

So I decided to run away from the madness and head back to the Disney cruise where I ran into the sexiest..I mean the most efficient waiter in town...Gane'.....hey Mom get your head out of the picture...you're ruining my fantasy...LOL

I'm so excited. With all of your encouragement I worked up the nerve to try to make something for my daughter Eleora. I have never made anything in the way of clothing before.
Here she is in her new outfit. I used the easy fit pant pattern with the cuff and added a matching band on the A-line reversible top. I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
That easy fit pant pattern is amazing! I've made my son 4 pairs of shorts/jams/pyjama bottoms now and even adapted it to make a matching pair of pj pants for my dh.

I haven't had time to get caught up yet, but I thought I'd post some of our BBB pictures. The girls had a lot of fun. Lydia got the very best FGMIT (Susan), and unfortunately the other 4 girls did not. Arminda's hair started falling within 2 hours of our visit. But, it was still a great time!!!!

Did Ireland get her tooth KNOCKED out, or did she yank it out? I used to yank non loose teeth out of my head when I was short on quarters...my mother would find me in the bathroom, happily wiggling away while blood coursed down my arm...she made me quit it!

You have a Himalayan!!! My step mom raised Himalayans for YEARS!! I had one named Anna Banana...we loved her. She was the best of the bunch...her brothers...Toots and Tony...were not nearly so dainty and beautiful as Anna Banana...but oh MY how she loved the toilet paper roll!!!

I love the Pirate outfit and the Webkinz party!! Your girls are so beautiful!

snakes are icky. Do y'all get rattle snakes and such in Florida? Cuz YIKES...rattle snakes are SCARY! They certainly don't congregate nicely on porches and give a nookie show!
