My daughter Megan says she loves the outfit with the "Paris-things" on it. Yes, her only knowledge of France comes from the World Showcase at Epcot! :rotfl:

She would also like confirmation of your daughter's name because I'm not sure if I pronounced it correctly (all the girls on here are her cyber-friends, you know). Is E-le-ora or E-lora? Or Eh-le-ora? I am hopeless, sorry.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I so do not do snakes............ I don't even like the ever present Florida Palmetto bug-yuck!

Aw, I didn't either, but we have a nest of black racers in our front bushes. Occasionally they get in the house and pool, so I am getting used to them. They eat bugs (my husband says) and I hate bugs worse than them.

Teresa, thanks for posting! The girls look absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see you Thursday! Oh, sorry about sipping and posting.

For those that found Little Einsteins material, did you find it at Hancock's or Jo-Ann's? I decided that Erin needs an outfit for our H&V lunch!

Since it is kinda slow tonight...I took some modeling photos of Lily today in some dresses that didn't sell at the boutique :confused3 We did pretty well though, Jen (sugarbees) has a TON of custom orders for her cute pillowcase dresses. We may never hear from her again.

(lil stinker picked my favorite tulip :scared1: )

When I tried this on her today I decided that even though it is too big, I am KEEPING it! It looks so stinkin' cute on her and she LOVED matching her dolly baby Anna.

th_IMG_0165-1-1.jpg

I can't believe those didn't sell. They are two of my favorites! Did that pink circle fabric come from Hobby Lobby?

Love everyone's outfits!!!

EWWWWW to the snakes! I hate, hate, hate snakes. I grew up with rattlesnakes and I chopped all too many of them up with a garden hoe! I once had a garter snake slither across the floor in my living room and I screamed like a little girl.

My oldest DD has recently discovered webkins. She now has 3 and I think they're the lil kinz. Does anyone know if there are patterns out there for making them clothes? Do you think Carla's patterns could be scaled down that small?

Hello! Here are the DD's this morning before school in their new outfits! :goodvibes They were munching on their Barbie waffles too :rotfl:

IMGP5423.jpg

They turned out so cute! Your girls look very springy!

Do you clip the armholes seams when you use a serger? They seem to lay down well but I am not sure what it will do after I wash it.

I never do and haven't had a problem

Hello friends,

I haven't had a chance to catch up. Work and life have been really busy. I have made a few things that I wanted to share with you.

This was my inspiration for an outfit for my DD10 (Thanks again for whoever posted it for me, sorry I forgot who it was...)
th_Inspirationpic.png

DD thought it was a little over the top for her age so I had to scale it down some. Since she can not wear tank tops to school, I made this type of top:

Next, I made this top for her:

Tie closure

Ribbon trim

I cut off a pair of jeans and added ruffles and ribbon to match both tops. I was way too lazy to do the buttonholes for the ribbon because I have a 5-step buttonholer. Sorry, first picture is a little blurry...
DSC05589.jpg

I made a scrunchie too:

Back pocket detail:

Ruffle/ribbon detail:

With original shirt also:

Thanks for letting me share with you!

Question - has anyone added a ruffle detail to denim shorts instead of capris?
Could you post a picture for inspiration?

Thank you everyone!

UMTerp

Very cute! I love the jeans. I need to do something like that

Hello everyone!
I'm so excited. With all of your encouragement I worked up the nerve to try to make something for my daughter Eleora. I have never made anything in the way of clothing before.
Here she is in her new outfit. I used the easy fit pant pattern with the cuff and added a matching band on the A-line reversible top. I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
That easy fit pant pattern is amazing! I've made my son 4 pairs of shorts/jams/pyjama bottoms now and even adapted it to make a matching pair of pj pants for my dh.
Thank you so much for all the inspiration!

I love it and the fabrics are TDF!

Greetings from Sunny and HOT Florida!!!

I haven't had time to get caught up yet, but I thought I'd post some of our BBB pictures. The girls had a lot of fun. Lydia got the very best FGMIT (Susan), and unfortunately the other 4 girls did not. Arminda's hair started falling within 2 hours of our visit. :sad2: But, it was still a great time!!!!

Here is Arminda in her Cinderella dress:

I don't have Tessa, because Heather has that Photopass card. But, I have one of all the girls together:

I hope everyone is doing well!!! I'm off to bed, I'm exhausted!!!

Yay! Thanks for stopping by. LOVE the photos! I recognize your mom and you in the photo behind Lydia, is that Corey on the left? The girls all look GORGEOUS! I wish I was there with you! I'm needing a Disney trip soon!

For those that found Little Einsteins material, did you find it at Hancock's or Jo-Ann's? I decided that Erin needs an outfit for our H&V lunch!

Hancocks

Elisa, love the photos/stories but my fav is the cat got into your sewing cupboard. That made me :rotfl2: Fortunately I'm not too freaked out by snakes, although one time when my brother was a teenager he was riding a motorcycle in the foothills and BROUGHT HOME a rattlesnake (somehow got it into a container, I think it was a large canteen) :confused3 :scared1: My dad had to chop it in half with a shovel. It wasn't pretty.

Well, no sewing for me in the forseeable future :sad1: I have to decorate 2 classroom doors for teacher appreciation week today and have been working on the stuff for that. (found out about the second door last night, thanks so much for the warning) Thank goodness for the cricut! Maybe I will post photos of the doors. One actually has Chip and Dale :thumbsup2

What a adorable Cindy dress!! My daughter would love that...Great job! Is the highschool musical set made with fabric or a sheet? Thats also cute..:flower3:

I cant wait to we go in August..

Hancocks. Ours had both the red and blue. I should buy more but I have no more money!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a long time lurker (since the first board) and I am just so inspired by everyones wonderful creations. I bought myself a sewing machine in August and decided to teach myself to sew. I am very slowly making progress. I have a dd(5) and a ds(2) and we are in the midst of planning or Disney trip for Sept 14-20!!

Ok. Back to lurking!

I found it at Hancock. :) - LOL - I guess I wasn't the first to answer!

SHHHHHHHHH-my DD must NEVER know about sewing Webkinz clothes :lmao: :lmao:

I've been so behind. I didn't get to keep up this week-end because of dd2's birthday party & having family in town.

The birthday girl in her party dress. of course, it was too cool Saturday for her to wear it without something under it. Figures.

:wave2: Welcome!

I am usually in lurker mode because I am busy-busy. ;) (I am in school part time, I have 5 kids, etc.. )

Right now - because I have more time - I am working on a ruffled outfit for my youngest daughter using Cars fabric. It's slow going, though.

Be sure to post your creations when you are done. :)

LOL!!! Yes, I loved the Paris-things too!
We generally pronounce it E-lora. Unless she's in trouble then she gets the full E-leora Maria Louise!!! She'll be thrilled to have a cyber friend! She loves to see the pictures of the other girls too!

Hello! I'm fairly new here myself. Can't wait to see what you create! We love photos! Welcome!!

I got it at Joanns

That looks like a fun party! I love the BAB dress! Too cute!

Hi all. Wow, I am still stuck back in September!! I have been going through all the posts and viewing all the lovely things! My baby daughter will be here in July and I have already started making dresses and shoes!! I hope to case some projects for when she is older. Maybe I'll post pictures soon.
I am currently using an older Kenmore sewing machine, which works just fine, but I am looking to upgrade. I don't need anything really fancy, but I would like more stitches and different feet. The Singer Esteem is on sale at Target for $100. I have heard a lot of you say that you use it. What do you think -good idea?? I'd also like to someday get a serger as well (even though I barely understand what they do).

Thanks for all your help!!! Now I have to get back to the earlier posts!! You guys talk a lot!!! :cutie:

I LOVE that minnie mouse dress. I really want to make one like that for my DD4. Love the matching BAB dress! That is so cool.

oh my goodness.... for those of you with the emb. machine I found some adorable speedracer appliques. pm me if you want the seller.
and a full snow white set!!!!!!!

So Im STILL working on this men's shirt. I think this will be one and only. Its technical- getting collar and various interfacing pieces to look right, and for all the work- boring, no ruffles, gathering, no "cuteness" as I work on it.

Im dying to do another outfit for DD, but forcing myself to finish the shirt first, or I never will.

Okay- Good news! My foster dog, Kayla gets her final injection and goes to her NEW HOME Friday night they are coming to pick her up, with their lab Wally. Hooray!!!!!

I love! love love! everything being posted, but will have to wait til I finish the shirt to do quotes and such. :)

TeresaJoy- Thank you for the BBB photo! Cant wait to hear what the feedback was on their outfits!
