OK I CAME UP WITH A IDEA THAT I NEED YOU ALL OPINIONS? IS THERE ANYWAY TO PUT A APPLICAID ON JEANS, ETC. THAT I COULD STILL TAKE OFF AT END OF DAY??? LIKE IF I WANTED TO PUT ONE ON MY JEANS, THEN THE NEXT DAY PUT ANOTHER APP. ON FOR A DIFFERENT PARK? JUST SO I DO NOT HAVE TO BUY MORE JEANS. ANY IDEAS WOULD HELP, OR JUST TELL ME I AM WAY OUT THERE:rotfl2:
Ok that is odd that you should mention something like that. I was in Wal-Mart yesterday and they had some rub on/iron on appliques. I was reading the instructions and this iron on can be temporary or permanent. I bought three of them because I thought they were cute designs and plan on making them permanent.
:rotfl: I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who dreams about fabric!
The thing was I dreamed of a dress with an apron over it and the apron had an iron on applique that I had just bought. So I figured that I should make this dress. Maybe someone might want it.

Aha! Here's a link to the Duncan/Aleene's website.

It's called Tack-It Over and Over. It's located near the bottom of the page.

http://www.duncancrafts.com/ProductSearch.aspx?c=61f88306-43c1-4602-ae80-c1b99d3a92a0

If the link doesn't work, search for Aleene's on the web.

Now the question is: Where can you purchase it! :)
you can buy it here.

Does anyone remember when Aleene's had there own show and they had books out and then came the line of products? This glue made me think of that. I remember watching their show all the way back in the early '90's

I haven't caught up on the last few days, so sorry I'm skipping so much! But, here's what I've been working on. These 5 shirts are for Tessa and my nieces to wear when my mom wears her pink Mickey button-up shirt.
Sorry it's so blurry:

This one's for you, Karebear!!

I used the top half of the portrait peasant top and the bottom half of the a-line jumper, both by CarlaC. I didn't put elastic in the sleeves, to give it a flirty sleeve (had nothing to do with the fact that I'm really lazy).

Okay, Kimberly sent me some pictures today of her adorable daughter wearing my Mulan and Lucky customs. Are these not the most spectacular photos ever? Kim, you make my stuff look so good!!:goodvibes

A children's boutique in our town has a similar idea but with ruffles not an applique. They sew a strip of velcro to the bottom of a pair of jeans then they attach ruffles to the opposite side of the velcro (does this make sense to anyone?) and you can buy different ones so that it is interchangeable but you only have to have one pair of jeans. This isn't something that somebody made, it is a brand but off hand I don't know what the name is. Just another idea kind of similar! You could do some Minnie dot, some animal print, children around the world, Cars print, etc. to have a different pattern for each park.

you can buy it here.

Yep! It was a guilty--and rare--pleasure! :)

Edited to add:

This dates me! *LOL*

When I was a child, Aleene developed one of her first products, which was flat petals that could be made into flowers. I think they were wood pulp based, but they actually felt like flower petals. My mother like the carnations, so we made carnations. She mentioned them on one of her shows in the 90s--and I happened to be watching! Lots of memories! :)

Those are so cute.
I made a Mickey and Minnie Mouse shirt inspired by your Peter Pan shirt. I will have to post some pics later.

That is neat that you remembered that and it doesn't date you I remember Aleene's too.

Very cute tops! I love the flirty sleeve. No one thinks you're really lazy, no not at all! ;) I can't believe you made five of them. I have a hard time getting two done without going crazy.

I feel like such a slacker. I have been reading and not commenting, sorry. I am loving the different things people are posting though. I feel blah, just no energy at all.

We have our school carnival tomorrow and I am donating this for the silent auction. I made a practice one and gave it to Megan, so that's why it looks familiar. I told a friend of mine to bid on it (I made it her daughter's size) so my feelings wouldn't get hurt if no one liked it.

It is Carla's sweet dress jumper top with Carla's a-line attached.

I couldn't decide how to do the bottom so I decided to learn how to make knife pleats. It didn't take any longer than a regular ruffle and I thought it looked more grown up for a size 6 sundress. The only problem is I ended up with way too much ruffle left over! It was ok, I used it on the matching purse.

Ok, a question. I bought this thing off of Disney shopping and the description said "dress" but whenever Megan wears it my husband asks why she is wearing her nightgown. So, please vote: is this a dress or nightgown? It is knit but ties in the back.

IMG_0418.jpg

Um, I don't know why she looks like that. We were off to our favorite restaurant, you can tell because she has her bucket of naked barbies to keep her occupied!

Ohhhh, Elisa!

I tried the sock-curlers last night and Megan's hair came out so cute! She doesn't have a lot of long socks, so I used big sections and this morning when we took it out it very wavy. She loved it! We are going to try smaller sections and see how it looks. I forgot to take a picture of it, will try to remember tomorrow. Thank you so much for posting instructions and pictures of gorgeous Ireland. I would have never thought of doing it but once I saw her beautiful curls, I knew we had to try it.

They make a product, I think redkin sells it, that you can spray in her hair before you roll each section to help it hold the curl when you take it out. I think it's called Hot Sets. It's for heat rollers, but it works with the socks too. I'm glad it worked for you. Be sure you take a picture next time, and save it to use to show her future boyfriends. LOL:rotfl:

So cute! I love the monkeys! Ella is monkey crazy - she just squealed "monkeeeeeeeees!" in my ear when she saw the dress. I like how you did the ruffles - I agree - it looks a little more "grown up."

Oh, and I do think the dress looks a little bit night-gownish, but it is really cute and I don't think a nightgown would have a tie in the back, so my vote is that if Megan likes it for a dress, then it should be a dress!

I love your tops! Do you think it would hard to adjust the portrait peasant top to a size 10 or 12? TIA!

That turned out really cute I love the matching purse!! The knife pleats are cute- they make a very nice ruffle. Have fun at the carnival I know someone will love that dress!!!

Oh and I vote dress!!

You guys have been busy lately. Love the pooh outfit from a toddler sheet. So creative!!! Here is what I have been working on. The model is at school so I will post pics of her wearing it later. I am planning it for animal kingdom for our Nov. trip. I will pick up a white long sleeve tee later in case it is cold.

and here's Ella - her hair is naturally on the crazy side, so I tried to just pouf it out as much as I could.

We went for a walk today and went to a new kids consignment shop and they had a couple cute things that the owners sister makes. One is a juice pouch purse and the other was a magazine purse. The sides of the magazine purse was denim from old jeans. There was a nice picture that had been lamented on the inside and outside and magazine pages in between. It was all zig-zaged together. Then had a grommet and chain for the handle. They had Disney princess ones, Dora, and HSM. I said to her what a cute Idea and she said her sister had seen them at the trendy boutique kids shop for $80!!! She duplicated it and is selling them for $18-25. And the trendy boutique is going out of business right now :sad1: I always loved going in there to look at stuff :scared1:
And the drink pouch one- they just cut off the bottoms and washed them really good, then zig-zagged them together. It was all juice pouches- the sides, bottom and even the handle!! They looked kinda cool and seemed pretty sturdy!!
