Hey, look at that....you're right. I saw the two piece 7's but not the 2nd bodice. OK I feel a lot better. Is there anything else I should know??? :confused3

Well, yeah, actually there is. Try the bodice on before you attach the skirt and adjust the elastic. Their elastic guide is a bit generous, I think.

I'm being CASEd on :wizard: ! I was just alerted to someone selling embroidery designs and they're using the pictures I posted as silhouette embroidery designs. Should I ask for a cut? :rotfl:

I saw that, and actually am contemplating a purchase. They're cute!

Since we're sharing photos of our kids when they were little :goodvibes I couldn't resist sharing this one of Zoe. She's wearing a sweater and hat I crocheted for her. I think that's about the only crochet project for her I've ever actually finished.

ZOE was a GORGEOUS baby!!!! She does look just like a little baby doll!!!

Your applique and shoes look fantastic!!!! I say do the ruffles!!! I love ruffles!
1.)NOW she tells me. I'll keep it in mind for next time. :thumbsup2
2.)teresajoy & heathersue hope your grandma has a speedy recovery! and that your mom doesn't get too tired.

I know I didn't quote them all, but I LOVED all the creations that you guys shared today. You never cease to amaze me w/ your creativity and talents.
1.)I'm sorry about that! I changed the directions a bit for positng the pictures, to make it clearer!

2.)Thanks for your kind words!
Funny, funny Great Grandma! That's a wonderful, sentimental story. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Minnie huh????? COuld there be an underlying message in all that??? ;)
Awww, thanks!
Yes, Arminda was destined to take a trip to Disney every year! (and, it just so happens that we go every year on her birthday, because the year before she was born, we bought a timeshare for that week! ooooooohhhhhhh....)

1.)Megan says that Arminda is cute in her doggie outfit. Thanks for fixing it so we could see it better!

2.) for your mom taking care of your grandma. What a big job.

3.)Megan agrees that she does look cuter than usual in those pictures. :rotfl2

4.):rotfl2: I guess because we weren't in the normal picture spots (the kitchen and back patio) he missed the action. I was trying to give Teresa a different view of the house, because I know she appreciates it.

5.)Love the story: Arminda is a beautiful name and it looks like it suits her to a t.
6.)I had an aunt like that. Whenever we would visit her in the nursing home we would ask how she was feeling and she would say, "Terrible!"

1.)Arminda tells Megan, "Awww, that was so nice! Tell her thank you."
2.)Unless you've met my Grandma you have NO idea what a big job this is!!!
3.)Love it!!!!
4.) I noticed that! And, I appreciated it!!!
5.)Thank you, it does suit her perfectly!
6.)Our Grandma is just like that too!

So I emailed her and asked about the size of the designs. Each design fills up the hoop. Soooo, if you buy them, they will be all wonky. Each design will be 4 in wide for example. So the baby will look bigger than Peter. You cannot use all of these designs to case Heather- she is just too good to case like that :goodvibes

AWWWW I feel the same way! :grouphug:

Thanks for all the advice on the patterns. I am getting the CarlaC's patterns. Now, to convince dh that I need them!

Well, I finally finished the tinkerbelle outfit. This is the first thing I made all by myself. Mom helped me with some of the directions, but I did it all by myslef. Even the elastic. The pattern called for a little ruffle on the capris, but I changed it because I love the bigger ruffle!

Well, since our local Wal Mart didn't have any more Keds' type canvas shoes for me to paint, I had to go with some high tops I'd already bought. These are much simpler in design but I'm very pleased with how they came out.

minnie_shoes1.jpg

These will go with a set I'm still working on that will be somewhat like the Tink set I finally finished. Here's the front panel. I'm trying to decide if I want the back to be the Minnie dot only or do "rhumba ruffles" in various dot prints. I'm leaning toward the latter since I think it would be really cute and I probably won't be able to get Zoe to wear something like that in a year or two.

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be fabulous.

I lost the quote, but Steph, i LOVE the dress you made!

Could you post a tutorial?? Please?? :rolleyes1

th_sweater1.jpg

What a beautiful baby!

Your shoes absolutely amaze me. the only thing I can paint is a wall... and even then I sometimes get paint on the ceiling... or the floor... or the dog... :rotfl: not that that has happened... more than once... :rolleyes1 Can't wait to see what you decide to do to the shoes in the next 3 weeks (although they are perfect as is!)

We moved into our new house 2 weeks ago. We are the first house on this new street. I went to the PO a month ago (~March 3 or 4) to make sure there was nothing I needed to do to have them "recognize" our street, they said we were all set.

March 21 - I submit a change of address to take effect March 31.

March 23 - Our mail just stops coming - nothing at the old address (where we were still living) and nothing at the new address.

March31 - Stop at PO - they claim that maybe we just haven't gotten any mail. WHAT???

April 3 - some mail (only one or two pieces each day and zero on some days) starts arriving at the new house but not much.

April 4 - stop at PO again and they still claim there is no problem on there end.

April 11 - DH calls PO this morning and again they claim there is no problem.
However, we know there is a problem because:
A. Our Netflix DVD's are getting returned to sender.
B. Lori123 sent me some Little Einsteins fabric (THANK YOU LORI!) and she emailed me today to say it was returned to sender.
C. We sent a letter to ourselves late last week and it has still not arrived.

DH calls PO again this afternoon after I heard from Lori - they now admit their error and that they were returning our mail to sender due to "street does not exist." WHAT??? I made then aware of the street over a month ago and we submitted a change of address form well in advance of the move. I am so mad. It is a good thing we get most of our bills electronically.
:headache: :headache:
I had such a long multi-quote going that I became overwhelmed and gave up!

I have picture of the dog party, but it mostly consists of kids sitting on a couch. I didn't get pictures of the cute games and such my mom played with them.

But, I did get a picture of the shirt I just finished for my mom. Isn't she the cutest Mom in the world?
DSC07286Large.jpg

She has recently lost 20 pounds!!! Im so proud of her!!
I love the shirt! It looks great on your mom!
Here is the doggy outfit I made for Arminda to wear to the dog party my mom through for her yesterday. My Dad picked this fabric up for me awhile back at a garage sale. He got a great big bag of fabric for a few dollars! I don't even think he knows how happy new fabric makes me! But, I was REALLY happy with it!! It's a Daisy Kingdom print. The spots on the dalmations look almost exactly like the material I used for the contrast (although I'm pretty sure that fabric is suppose to be cow!) Arminda also requested a headband, so I made her a little tie for her hair.

Little Girls on a couch, Kelly, Arminda, Lydia, Tessa and my Dad's feet ;)

And, the battery was pretty dead at this point! I do have a really good picture of my Mom in a pink Mickey shirt that Heather made her, but you will have to wait to see that until Heather posts it!
Great pictures the party looks like a lot of fun. Did you have cake?

This is for Karebear, who seems to be having "the Megan" withdrawals :rotfl2: :

Off to the soccer field, wristlet-less, all my money and cell phone crammed in my overpriced jeans pocket, have a good night all!
The dress is adorable. That fabric looks better as a dress than a shirt.

Look at her go! I love that tinkerbell fabric. I have never seen it in my area.

Okay, and because I was such a bad mommy posting pics of all my kids except one, and because I am on the computer with the old pictures, and because I would rather look at his sweet little guy face than deal with whatever havoc he is currently wreaking, and because Teresa asked, here are some pics of little Lukey, or "Cookie" as he is called because Lily could say Cookie and couldn't say Lukey when she was littler and she called him Cookie.

This is my favorite picture of him EVER! We took him to ride the train when Thomas the Tank was in town to pull it. (he was 3) We are in an open car and the train is going around a curve and he is looking ahead and seeing that we are being pulled by Thomas. His little eyes are just sparklin'!

his first towel art: (and the only time he's had short hair)

and just to be a little on topic, here he is playing peek-a-boo with Tigger (and wearing his first Mickey mouse hat):

I have a cute one of him holding Lily, but he has no shirt on and I did not want to askeer Miss Cammie :rotfl:

And I actually do still sew. Today I made a copy of Lily's skull outfit for her baby cousin to wear to Disneyland next week.
Adorable baby! Thanks for posting the pictures. I love the one of him with the towel animal.
I'm sending prayers your way.

That is the cutest shirt. I was debating making me a shirt like that for WDW. I think I might make me one or two.

I love the dress. I too want to use that tutorial. I just haven't found a shirt that I want to convert.

Ok since ya'll asked I have finished my new sewing machine quest. I started out this morning going to Wal-Mart because oddly enough it is the only store around here that sells sewing machines. So I bought a Brother SC 6000i. I got it home opened the box and found that the machine was old and had been used. It was covered in dust and still had a bobbin in it. :scared1: It went right back. Well I wasn't planning on spending a fortune, so I decided to cross the river and go to the next twon over (15 mins in the car) Well DH decided that he would go with me because he likes the Pineville Wal-Mart. Well they didn't have the same machine that I liked, but DH sees the one that I really want and says, "Hey this one does all of the stuff that you want to do." He ended up talking me into buying the machine that was 3 times as much as the machine that I payed for this morning. So I am now the very proud owner of a Brother SE-350. It does everything. It just put a casserole in the oven for dinner. It does embroidery. I'll take a pic after awhile and post it. I also fell in love with their fabric department and have decided that I will be crossing the river the next time I want fabric. I spent $50 on fabric and still didn't feel like I had enough. They had three times as much fabric as the Wal-Mart around here.
   Hurray for a new machine and lots of fabric.

That is the cutest baby ever! :cutie: I love the shoes too. Can you make some for me? I love them!

That is, of course, unless you change the size of the design. I think they're great designs.

These are NMA's BTW!

So what should I be searching to see Heather's CASEd appliques?

I'll send you a PM.

So what should I be searching to see Heather's CASEd appliques?

Try "silhouette applique embroidery". They look cute and I think the original was well worth casing... I've been considering trying a silhouette now for Zoe.

BTW - I like Heather's Nana design much better but I imagine it wouldn't have fit as well in the embroidery hoop dimensions.

Can you believe we didn't!! We did have puppy chow though!

I was wondering why she didn't case Heather's Nana, that makes sense!

OMG! I just checked out that sellers designs and now I SO want an embroidery machine! I think DH would go for it if I could somehow figure out a way to embroider his company logo on some shirts for him. Is this something that is even possible? (it's a small startup-not worried about copyright issues) I guess I should go check out his logo, not even sure what it looks like

I bet there are people who could digitize the logo for you or at least let you know if it's possible.

I really would like an embroidery machine, too, but mostly for the ability to do words. I don't mind appliqueing a few letters but avoid doing too many. I love some of the sets I see on :wizard: with text from stories that go along with the appliqued design.
