Hello, ladies! I have been a lurker here since the first thread, and I have been so inspired by all of you that I am creating my very own Disney outfits for my daughter to wear during our upcoming trip in April. I will be posting pictures as I get them done, but just wanted to thank you in advance for the inspiration.

I was behind and I skipped some pages, so if anyone said something to me, I missed it!

Hey everyone! So, I know I've been MIA for a LONG time. I've really missed you guys and all your cute kiddos! And your creativity!
Great to have you back!! We've been wondering where you went to!

This is so cute! Tessa loves it!!

I posted this a few pages back but didn't get an answer. And, since I saw that Teresa was on, I figured that she would probably know!

I was thinking that several pictures of a Prince Charming costume had been posted but I cannot find them in the photobucket account. Can anyone help me?
I didn't remember that picture until Teresa posted it! It would have been nice to see it before I made Sawyer's outfit. I couldn't figure out how to make that shoulder thing!

Thanks Teresa!

He picked the red one for me to make but he wanted the red pants and white shirt just like Prince Charming's. I also bought the material to make a cape for it just b/c he has a flare for the dramatics and he looooves capes!
That will be SOO cute!! I modified the Captain Hook pattern for Sawyer's Prince Charming jacket and just used a PJ pants pattern for the pants. I am hoping to post pictures by tomorrow! Teresa and I spent most of the day at McDonald's and Walmart, so I haven't had a chance to work on it today.

Cute! I saw that monkey fabric today at JoAnn's. It took all I could to just walk away. It was hard.

I bought some flamingo bling at the expo to put on a t-shirt and wanted to make something to go with it. Has anyone seen any fabric with flamingos on it? I couldn't find anything at JoAnn's. Thanks!

DD loves and adores long patchwork twirl skirts. I've tried other bottoms for her - shorts, tutu skirts, other types of patterns - and she keeps going back to the long (below-the-knee) twirl skirt. Fine, she loves it and I can respect that. They end up looking more 'hippy' than 'flirty' with the length.

But we always wear the same top - a T-shirt with a simple applique. I even move appliques from one shirt to the next...

I have yet to find a peasant top that fits her without major pattern alteration which I just don't have the time/energy to do. When I sew, I want to sew, not struggle with things that don't fit my tall and skinny kid. She doesn't like halter tops (tie/strap behind the neck) or shirring (itchy).

What else can I make for her? Any great ideas? Anyone know of a cute top that can easily be lengthened? A dress that looks super cute on a tall 5-year-old that can be easily Disney-fied?

I really like the peasant top that CarlaC wrote on YMCT. You can easily make it to whatever length you need. I have a tall thin 5 year old too and it was a struggle to find tops too. CarlaC also has a jumper pattern that I have used as a top that I like as well. And you could easily applique on them to make them Disney-fied. Oh, and they are super easy too.

Hope this helps!

Did someone say flamingo? I had to post b/c I made this last week. Sorry for the princess not wanting to pose...

I love the pics of the beautiful creations from you very talented people; Unfortunately, I am not one of them. I went on Ebay and looked into purchasing a Snow White (with or without the other princesses) and Minnie there but would prefer to order from a fellow Disboarder.
I am not sure if anyone does sell them or if you can advertise here but if you do, please feel free to email me privately at staceywjan@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Stacey

Oh, I love it! I am sending you a pm right now. The flamingo fabric I have found on the internet is not nearly as cute and very expensive!

Sometimes, princesses just don't want to pose, lol! She is a doll.

And here is the corset top I made using Lisa's instructions (also for the Disney on Ice). The skirt I had already made (Ottobre pattern)
