I went to Hancock's fabric sale that they were having today. I bought way too much fabric and four new patterns, but I didn't get the one that I wanted to get (the one for the pooh toile fabric). I took DD and I think that that was a mistake. She picked out so many different fabrics that my head was spinning. I think I bought most of what she picked out :scared: . Hopefully I can get my act together and get in there and tackle some of the one hundred projects I have started.

Wish me luck on that.

Well, Dylan is 8 (poor boy is so little). KAtie is exactly five weeks older than Chloe, they are 6. But since Chloe is taller than KAtie, she thinks she is older. You know, five weeks is a BIG deal!

Awww.....five weeks IS a big deal. I have a twin sister who is 9 minutes older and to this day she considers herself my BIG sister....:lmao:

Yes... it is a cake. I am a cake baker(for fun)

Here are a few cakes that I am proud of(some are not disney)

Oh my goodness you are making me hungry for cake!!! You did a fabulous job!!! Too bad you don't live close by or I would beg ya to make my DD's birthday cake...LOL.

I Disney-fied this outfit for my 13 (almost 14) year old niece for our May trip. The shorts were $3 and the shirt was $3 at WalMart, so $6 total! I love a deal!!

I applaud anyone who does a Mickey head as their first applique! All those curves aren't easy! Mine looks pretty wonky! I did it without taking out the side seam on the pants. I'm sure it would have looked neater if I would have done that.

I also finished Tessa's Clarice shirt and Sawyer's Chip shirt. I'll post pictures later today or tomorrow. Still not done with Prince Charming!

Aww that is really cute Heather!!!

:confused3
Hey just curious will you both be writing a trip report once you come back from your Grand Gathering at WDW???? (SAY YES...lol)

We're planning on it! :thumbsup2 There should be tons of pictures! Maybe we could talk our brother into writing one too. THAT could be interesting! :rotfl:

Yes! There, I said it- now I have to do it! I thought about doing a pre-trip report, but I think we'll just do a TR. It sounds so funny when you say grand gathering. To us, it's just our family! All 15 of us went out to eat as a group a while ago and I looked around and realized that it's pretty rare to see a whole family like ours out and about. We also all went to see Enchanted (except for Sawyer an Henry) that day. We took up the entire back row + 1 more seat of the theater!

We're planning on it! :thumbsup2 There should be tons of pictures! Maybe we could talk our brother into writing one too. THAT could be interesting! :rotfl:

Yes, but I don't know if the Dis is ready for that particular brand of interesting...:rotfl2: Teresa and I will experience something one way and our brother will have an entirely different view on the situation- as seen from Mars. :lmao:

WOW A day off to catch up and tons of PAGES to catch up on! Ok just checkin in, now to go catch up.

Love it! Perfect for a teen!
Glad to know all appliques are not as hard as the Mcikey's. I did one and now I am TERRIFIED:scared1: of appliques!!!

Hi everyone. I haven't been around for quite a while - family life can get hectic!

I need some help. My dd6 is in love with Hannah Montana, and what little girl isn't? She went to the movie with her friend and wants me to make an outfit for her. I can't find a picture of what to make, I was hoping someone here might have a HM obsesive child as well :rotfl2:

It is a white tank top, chambrey colored vest that is short and a skirt.
If you have any ideas I would SO appreciate them.

Thanks

Hi!!! How is everyone's weekend going? I finally almost finished the Aurora outfit. I need to buy pink ribbon to lace up the back, I put grommets in and made it corset style. Other that that it's done...
305576577.jpg

Ireland isn't feeling well, so pardon the model..LOL
I also don't know why I always take pictures by the ORANGE wall. It was one of those colors..you think will get darker as it dries, only to find out, it turned more orange-ie, as it dried. ICK!
Anyway, I finished a jacket and pants set tonight, but wanted to finish the top before I show it all to you.
Enjoy your weekend, I'm off to catch up on all the new stuff.

Hi everyone. I am out of comission for sewing for a few days possibly a week. I fell down our front steps, well actually slid down on the ice on my Butt, I now have a lovely shade of purple on my bottom, thankfully no broken tail bone, just too sore to sit for a long period of time. To make me feel better DH took me and dds to the mall today (ds is at a party) I can walk unlimited, just don't ask me to sit  So we went' to the disney store and found those net canopies for on the girls beds, they have giselle on them and are pink and oh so pretty, they were $49.99 marked down to $14.99 then 50% off, so we paid $7.49 for each. Talk about a steal. love to find good deals.

Here is a skirt I finished today for CP. I am just putting it with a Tshirt I found for $4.

Here is the promised ECV cover. I still need to press the seams. If you see me at WDW (and I don't see how anyone will miss me now!) say hi!

great job on the cover, looks like it is water resistant, is it? that will help with those once a day sunshowers in FL.

So we went to playhouse disney LIVE on stage this evening-:sad2:
We get our seats and the show starts- we are on the upper side of the stage and can only see the people if they are out at the edge, because there is a curtain blocking the sides so we can't see "in the stage" So we watch for a little while and I couldn't take it so I went to guest services and ask if we can move there were plenty of open seats and she looks at my ticket and says oh they should have stopped you at the door. :headache:  well they didn't say anything to us!! Niether di danyone come to the bad viewing sections and offer new seats you know like before the show started!!!! She gave us new seat assignments- WAY better ones! The whole section we were sitting in was full and I say should I let the other people know (so they can actually see the show they paid $25 a seat for) She looks panicky and says NO! Ok fine so I go back and say to my sister ( and not very quitely) we're moving lets go!! I got us new seats!! We pack up the kiddos and their stuff and by then the first half is almost over and by the time we get to the new seats it is intermission :scared1: And on the way we lost ds mickey swirly light from WDW!!! So when we notice it is gone I went all the way back looking for it!! So I missed most of the show:scared: And I am feeling like I need to write a nasty gram to let the producers know what an unpleasant experience I had. One good thing though some people who had been sitting by us in the old location saw we dropped the mickey light and brought it to us after the show!! :flower3: She "overheard" me say wear we were moving to!! Oh and someone stopped and asked if I made the outfits the boys were wearing!!:goodvibes
I will post pictures later on saturday we are going to the funeral in the morning and I am at work tonight.
And to top it off we went the wrong way in the skyway on our way back to the car and did a "little" extra walking :rolleyes1 With a sick 4 yr. (who wanted to be carried) and a 2 1/2 year old (who wanted to walk)!! Fun times...

I'm feeling your pain. When I went to see the same show in our town, the only tickets I could get were the expensive front row, behind orchestra. And to top it off there were 2 seats together and 1 seat, that was one seat away. So I took them hoping that the people sitting next to us, would just scoot down a seat. Well, it wasn't easy finding the seats, the hundred year old helper lady, kept telling us the wrong section. When we finally found our seats, the people that had been sitting there, didn't want to move over a seat, so my not-so-little one sat on my lap. Also the mean family, decided to use my seat that I paid for to hold all of their stuff. They must have packed enough food for a year. When we sat down the floor was already COVERED in food wrappers, cups, and was flooded, with whatever drinks they spilled. When the show started, I realized that the barrier between our seats and the orchestra, didn't allow us to actually see much of anything. So we watched the show, only seeing the characters from the waist up, and I had to hold both of my girls on my lap to see anything. And of course, because this whole day was cursed, it POURED as soon as we left, I had no umbrella and had to drag my 2 girls through the rain to the car, and try to find my way back to the highway, and I couldn't even see out of the windshield...It was a NIGHTMARE!! never again...that's all I have to say...

Sorry about the hiney...I fell cutting vines on one of my trees, I was pulling, Mom was cutting...she cut the one I was pulling, and WHAMO! down on the back end, onto concrete...I did have a broken tailbone...:sad2: and I had a conference that I had to sit at for hours the next day. I explained to everyone there, and while they laughed at me, they understood when I kept getting up and standing in the back of the conference room. Thankfully I didn't need surgery..:)

I was already coughing today, and now I am laughing so hard I can barely breathe!

OOOH! OUCH!!! You poor thing! I hope you have a nice soft bed to sleep in.

And, I am SOOO jealous that you have a Disney store close by! Grreat deal on the canopy!

It was a NIGHTMARE!! never again...that's all I have to say...

So, are you guys saying we should stay away from this show???:confused3 Sorry you had such a rough time too!

Does anyone have a pattern for gauchos..I'm looking for the kind, where the jeans get hacked off, and the gaucho part is done in little strips. I have seen other people attempt this style and butcher it, and my goal is to not waste the jeans, or the fabric. One :wizard: designer who's name starts with a B, does them, and sells the pattern online. I was just wondering if anyone has purchased it.

OMG I adore that! How cute is that! Georgia was looking at it and says "Mommy, are you going to dust off that sewing machine, you haven't made anything me since I turned six!"

Its funny she says that about everything now. You know because turning six was sooo three weeks ago! hahaha kids! they are great aren't they?
