Oh Misty, I'm so sorry you've been sick again!
Weird, I got cold sores on both sides of my mouth the other day. Do you think the dentist visits have something to do with it?

The overdress is made out of sheets and half of a pillowcase.

You all are amazingly talented! Love all the great outfits. One day I will learn how to sew. In the meantime, I have to stick to what I know -- graphic design.

For those of you who are designing your own T-shirts to wear while at WDW, etc., where are you getting them printed? I've used CafePress in the past, but I'm wondering if they will let you print your own Disney-related themes, even though you're not opening a store on their site.

Okay here is the whole story . . . It was really cool.

So everyone has already seen the Wickedly Fierce Evil Queen. I was most excited about this outfit. Hannah threw a little hissy fit about her sister being the princess. We worked it out. I am going to leave out all the drama.

Well this is supposed to be sunny Florida right??? Not today!!! It was so cold and windy. We had to buy a blanket and a Cinderella cape in the morning. Then I bought a purple tee to go under the outfit in the afternoon. Then we spent $150 for three sweatshirts!!! Luckily I brought a sweater so I was okay.

We were getting on Snow White’s Scary Ride for the 8th 9th time. At this point I lost track. I know we rode it 12 times all together. A year of a million dreams castmember stopped me. Her name was Angelique. She was so super nice and made such a big deal out of the girl’s outfits. Hannah was all like I’m not a princess, I’m the Evil Queen. It was too funny!! What I was so surprised about was the looks of horror on other people’s faces. Mothers kept on looking at me like I was a monster. I think little children were scared! So, within 5 minutes we were on the ride. We had a great time.

Guess who was waiting for us? Angelique with her friend Jessica. Angelique introduced Jessica and said she called her to come see the girls outfits. I told them this was Evil Queen Hannah and her baby sister Sophee. Then I said but when she is dressed up like Snow White she is Snowphee! They got such a kick out of that! The girls took Hannah and Sophee by the hand over to the wishing well. The said Snow White found out about their special outfits and wanted to give them a certificate. Each girl got a certificate signed by Snow White and the seven drawfs! Then they took my girls to Cinderella’s fountain and gave them pixie dust. They said a poem and made a wish and my heart just melted!!!!

It was the best!! I could not have been happier even if I won a night in the castle. I will never forget what Angelique and Jessica did for my girls. How cool are there jobs? Today I am going to walk around and make people happy!

So we were off to buy our sweatshirts then watch the parade a fireworks in the bitter cold!

Ok all. If you remember Thursday night I was going to my first Creative Sewing class. Oh my. I didn't finish my project that night so I'm not going to post a picture of it but then I didn't feel bad because even the experienced sewers didn't finish it either. The next meeting is April 27th I think and I am going to finish it there. I have to redo my zippers they are not straight all so I will do that home and then sew on my plastic compartments and then do to binding at the class so I don't mess it up. I was a little more relaxed thinking that even the more experienced sewers were having a little trouble too.

Thanks so much! We were there for 10 days and had 2 outfits per day and a couple gowns too! I want to say around 40. The girls got the Yellow Belle and Blue Cindy gowns. We also had 7 smocked dresses that I bought. :)

I'm about to start on those last minute Easter madras.(I'm askeered!:scared1: ) I got the fabric at JoAnn's 40% off!! Woo Hoo, thanks RevRob for the sale tip!:woohoo:

You all are amazingly talented! Love all the great outfits. One day I will learn how to sew. In the meantime, I have to stick to what I know -- graphic design.

For those of you who are designing your own T-shirts to wear while at WDW, etc., where are you getting them printed? I've used CafePress in the past, but I'm wondering if they will let you print your own Disney-related themes, even though you're not opening a store on their site.

Kate
I don't think that anyone answered yet. I'm not sure if anyone designs their own shirts on the Disboutique thread. We applique images from fabrics etc. The printed T Shirts are from the DISer desgin thread. Here's a link:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=892906
Mostly folks use transfer paper to print DISer designs out & iron onto blank TShirts.
Post some of your Designs, we'd love to see them (especiallly anything Disney!)As a graphic designer, you know of infringement rights-so be careful. A few of the DISer designers have spent time & money on lawyers over Disney designs. They can no longer post some because they were so good!

Thanks to all of you that have been talking about the sensory stuff and the weighted vests and therapy, etc. It's comforting to know that there are others out there. Sometimes it feels like we're alone. We are just starting on this journey and it's scary. I'm starting to get some answers as to why certain things bother DD more than other kids ever since she was a baby. I just wish we'd noticed sooner that something was a bit off. I wish I'd known about early intervention before this year. All the evals and the therapists just keep asking me why we haven't gotten all this done sooner.

Hope everyone has a nice Easter.
Your family is in my prayers. Don't let any evals or specialists give you a hard time with the "why didn't you do this sooner" stuff! Your dd is only 4, right?

You are only human & the SPD, autism tendancies don't show until at least that age or older. We had our ds diagnosed at 3 1/2 with less than 4 months of services thru ECI. It was still early enough for intervention.

It sounds like you are doing everything right & have lots of help. Keep your hope up, my ds (6) is improving every day & is almost all mainstreamed KinderG now! You can PM me if you want. Make sure you get the GAC while at Disney. It helps tremendously!!!

Yes, those are both AG skates. The purple ones go with a girl of today outfit. It has a skating dress, sweater and a unitard type thing. The white one's with the fur are actually Molly's. I thought that they looked close enough to Kit's era so I go them for Riley.
Love the new siggy photo, it makes me giggle-they definitely look like little pixies, all mishievous.

AimmeG: I lost my huge multiquote! I love your photos & creations! My favorite of the day was the pink Pirate outfits with the pink pirate ears!! Can't wait to read your TR!!

OK Ladies (And gent!) .... It's been a while since I really posted, so I'm gonna try to remember how to download pics from photobucket with this post. It's just the first of a few of my FINALLY organized craft room.

SO THIS A TEST..... THIS IS ONLY A TEST!!!

here we go.....

IMG_5376.jpg

AHHHHHHHHH HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! IT WORKED!!

more photos to come!

OK.......So here are the rest of the pics opf the room from different angles:

Close ups:

IMG_5381.jpg

It took me a long time to find something that was relatively reasonably priced and well constructed for the ribbon holders and stamp & stamp pad holders, but I'm pretty happy with these. They look nice and hold a lot! I also needed a place to put all my glitter, embossing powder and sprinkles. I used spice racks and jars that I bought from World Market for this purpose.

IMG_5383.jpg

I used 3 tables I got from Target on clearance to form an "L" to make my sewing/craft table area. These tables were $89.00 a piece and they provide a good open area to do everything I need, including laying cutting for quilting etc. I still need to purchase some cork board for the wall behind- can you see how I pinned the quilt squares to the wall so I could lay them out as they are finished??? According to my husband, this is not a good thing- lol!! Problem is, for the cost of what a cork board wall is- it'd be cheaper to put up new dry wall in that area! Does anyone know where to get cheap cork board?

IMG_5370.jpg

IN the closet behind my sewing table I bought drawers from Target (again on sale and used the millions of plastic shoe boxes I have purchased in years gone by, to store all kinds of things.

IMG_5378.jpg

On the other side of the closet I assembled wire cube units into a station that can hold my fabric bundles and scraping paper. See those hangers?? Does any of this look familiar to you guys???

IMG_5386.jpg

Desk area- this was the easiest part, (hmmmmmmm...... I wonder who that cute little guy on the computer screen could be??? )

BUT ..... I EVEN organized the drawers in here!! WOOOHOO!!!!! Do you know that as a result of doing this, I found that I had 6 tracing wheels and 4 seam rippers! Enough to open my own store! HA!!!
IMG_5379.jpg

SO that's it! I REALLY want to thank everyone here for all their ideas on how to organize things in an area that can be such a catastrophe if you let it be! You guys are the BEST!!!

Now....... I NEED YOUR HELP!!

Does anyone know what to do about this???????

IMG_5388.jpg

It's driving me CRAZY!!!!!! LOL!!!!
