Here's a heavenly recipe for you WW girls. It's an alternative to the pooh-muffins. Awesome!

2 cups 100% Bran or All Bran
l/2 cup oat bran
l/2 cup whole what flour
l/4 cup sugar
l cup fat free buttermilk (OR) l cup ff yogurt
2 egg whites
l/2 cup applesauce
3/4 cup blueberries
2/3 cup peaches, diced (you can use canned packed in its own juice - but drain well)
2 tsp. baking powder
l/2 tsp. baking soda
pinch salt
l tsp vanilla

Mix bran, oat bran, buttermilk, applesauce, egg whites, vanilla and sugar. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes.

Mix flour, salt, powder, and baking soda. Stir into wet mixture.

Add fruit and mix well. Line muffin tins with paper cups or spray tins with non-fat spray.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400.

Muffins are done when they spring back when touched. DO NO OVER BAKE as they will dry out.

Makes 12 muffins - 110 calories - 5.4 fiber - .6 fat - l point

Oh Um - that reciep sounds yummy. Needs to go shopping for some of the ingredients.

I've got you marked down! Here's the roster so far...

And yeah, you've got plenty of time to lose those 7 pounds! I got married in August of 2005, and it was about this time of the year that I realized that I needed to lose some weight before the wedding. And I was able to lose 25 lbs between March/April and August. Granted, I had a bunch to lose so it came off fairly quickly. But I didn't have the support of the peeps either, which I just know will help you fabulous in that dress!

WI_DisneyFAn- just noticed your from eastern WI! We just moved to Wi in Dec. We're in the Hartland area- where are you??

Good for you for throwing it out. I always say that's the hard part. I threw up a 1/2 cheesecake left over from Easter, boy was that hard. But I did it and felt good after I did. Post as much as you want, I'm a SAHM so I'm usually on a couple of times a day.

 We all go through it.

Karebear- Are you doing Southbeach? I can tell you the carb withdrawl is FOUR days. After that you wont crave them. You come here anytime you want and vent! We are here for ya!!!! Eating veggies helped me with the withdrawls. Not the same kind of carb, but it totally helps. Plus I felt FULL all day from the chicken or egg-beaters etc.

We all have had many do-overs, dont you worry!
DONT GIVE UP!!! You deserve this!!!

Thanks for all the support! You guys are the BEST!!!:grouphug:

I've done really well so far today... of course- I HAVEN'T EATEN ANYTHING YET! I'm always ok until I eat- then..... it's all down hill from there!! Anyone else like that?? I'm a diabetic, so I've got to eat sometime, but I'm really dreading it. DisneyLaura- you may have to get me through a lot today!!

Well- I think I'm gonna go downstairs and eat something- wish me luck!

I saw that pic too, and quoted it. I'm always looking at food porn. :rolleyes1

Just calculated my McDonalds grilled chicken Asian salad with sesame/ginger dressing and 2 packetts of almonds: ELEVEN points!!!!!! :scared: But I'm full and satisfied. 11 points :sad2:

Those muffins I posted the recipe for are great! I substituted Baking Splenda for the sugar.

LOVE "head-hunger". On biggest loser they say chew cinnamon sugarless gum. My mouth is kept busy with diet Pepsi. Or bleaching trays form the dentist. The bleach is super expensive and you can't eat with them in. My teeth ar white, I tell you what.

Skinny-Diety people will tell you to go for a walk or something. YA RIGHT. I'm soooo not there yet. :thumbsup2

Good Luck! Have healthy stuff RIGHT in front of your fridge and pantry so you'll be OK if you become weak.

Hey UM, just have 6 almonds. That'll fill ya up. ;)

But seriously, karebear... I cut up a cucumber... have some celery... or try to distract myself with something else. Another fav is to settle the cat on my lap, so that I have to disturb her to get up and stuff my face... I also settle upstairs in the bonus room at night so that I would have to go downstairs to get something from the fridge... my laziness seems to win out over my hunger more often than not.

I don't know how you SAHMs do it though. Having the fridge right nearby all day would be soooo hard for me.

And I HATE when skinnies tell you how you should diet. Just stop eating, yeah, hmm, let me go get on that. :headache:

11 points?!?!?!? Holy Cow!!!! 11pts for a salad...... and you were happy with a salad only? WOW mama..... that's really good that a salad would satisfy you. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS would it make me feel full/satisfied!

I need to get some of that bleach stuff from my dentist. That'll help for sure!

I could go for the walk idea though- if my blood sugar doesn't drop so low from lack of food!

I know! That salad WAS very filling with a chicken breast on it. I'm still "full".

Ok, Team Peeps, this is playing dirty, but I've eaten FOUR pooh: Muffins with a gallon of fake Crystal Lite. JUST Sayin'!

Hee hee... you mean it isn't?

No seriously though, by "skinny" I mean someone whose metabolism or natural lifestyle/preferences means they don't have to watch what they eat without winding up w/ "Goodyear" tattoo-ed somewhere they don't want.

UM, I am glad I am not YOUR janitor tonight!!

I was definitely thinking of you when I posted that!

Sorry you didn't make your class. I hate when work gets in the way of my exercise schedule.

Hey peeps!

Spring break starts tomorrow for the kids!:sad2: It is SO much harder to diet and exercise with them home. It breaks up the routine - ya know? (I'm hungry ...Mom what can I have to EAT?) I try not to think or focus on food during the day - a little housework, some work-work, and an hour of exercise pretty much takes up the school hours. But with them home, I'm going to be constantly (it feels like anyway) shelling out snacks, AND they expect breakfast and lunch to! Grrrrr.

Well, I can see I'm not going to get Mom of the year award......

Really though, today was good. Breakfast was 2 blueberry Kashi waffles and sugar free syrup-200 calories. Pretty good if your craving sweets in the morning! A fiber one bar for lunch, some baked chicken wings and baked beans for dinner, and some fat free pringles for the late night munchies. Not perfect, but it worked. Probably 1000 calories for the day.

I LOVE salad with meat in it. I also like to add chick peas for a little extra sumpin in there. Very filling :thumbsup2

Telemarketing went pretty good today, I think I'm going to set a goal of at least 10 faxes a day. I'm calling property management companies and when I get someone that's interested, I fax them our company info. In my early 20's (seems like light years past instead of a little more than 10 years) I used to be a sales rep for a specialty lightbulb company (yeah-I know- light bulbs? ) and the majority of my job was cold calling from phone books to various parts of the state (close your eyes and grab a phone book- I had a stack!) and selling light bulbs to businesses. They gave a commision on sales with the salary, and one month I brought home a $900.00 commision check. Not much by today's standards, but it was big bucks to us back then. I haven't done it in a loooong time, but it seems like a good marketing tool. Hopefully it will pay off!:woohoo:

Hope everyone has a skinny day tomorrow!
