My week has been insane.
 OMG, hope it gets better for you!

I am soooo excited--on phone with member services and I am staying at BEACH CLUB!!!! When I called yesterday we thought some friends my be going with us and we were looking for a 2 bed and nothing was there--they backed out and this is where we are staying. I am sooo excited---this is our home resort and we have only stayed here 1 night after a cruise and the weather was :headache: so we could not use the pool. Anyway sorry to ramble--just excited.:woohoo: :cool1:

I love the theming there. Someday I will stay there....someday.....

I too love the Beach Club, although Boardwalk is our home resort. BCV is #1fav so far, followed by BWV.

Pakey, we are going May 17-23 and right now are BWV-BWview (waitlisted for BCV). It is our anniversary trip.

Fran, .

Thanks for asking Dawn but I haven't updated in a while.I only have one day left to do but I have been suffering from a little Disney depression and haven't spent time on the trip reports board.I really only check this thread and one other...

 i'm sorry about your disney depression! i hope it subsides soon (or at least gets a little better).

I'm just checking in to say hi. :wave2: College classes are delayed for 2 hours. :thumbsup2

My week has been insane.

   fran! i'm so, so sorry all this has happened to you and your family/friends. what a horrible week! maybe god decided to get all the bad things outta the way this year in this one week for you!

Do any of you use or have used Kettle Bells in your work outs?? I was watching a show where people were using them and they seem to be quite effective! I saw some at Target the other day and I of course had to try it out..HOLY Cardio and weight training!!! I just used the 10 lb one a couple times over my head and down and i already could tell it would be a great tool. Just wondering if any of you have used them before and what you think. Dawn, i am particularly interested to see if Anna has " tortured" you with these before ;) They seem pretty hardcore and that they would target the Core and love handles..which i NEED to tone and strengthen desperately!

nope, she hasn't tortured me yet. i googled them and they look interesting! we just use standard dumbbells and barbells in class. she is creating a class called "total body torture." um....yeah.....good luck getting anyone to come to that class! :lmao:

I am soooo excited--on phone with member services and I am staying at BEACH CLUB!!!!

:woohoo:

Just don't spend too much time at Beaches and Cream--it's not peep friendly in there. :rotfl:

i'm soooooo going there in april!!! no way jose, here i come! :upsidedow

Just a quick fly-by today. I take one day off of work and I come back to an email in-box full of problems.

The challenge is a pretty informal thing, so you can count it either way. I've added your +2 to the spreadsheet, but you can choose to ignore it if you want.

Thanks aaron! I had reached my goal and not realized it!:rotfl:

Kat, we'll be there at the same time. Woo-hoo. Gosh, I would love to get a BW view for this trip. I didn't even waitlist it though. I called so late that I knew I would be staying at SSR. Funny, I make it sound like it's so awful but it's actually very nice, especially since we are not going to the parks (except for meals).

You are in line on the BCV waitlist before us so I'm sending you pixie dust that you get it.

lol..sounds like a great EASY class..sign me up ;) You will have to give a report if you take that one!!!

:grouphug:  :grouphug:

Hey Peeps, today has been great so far. I just cut up some delicious pineapple. I have eaten good today.

 to all who need them!
Pineapple is the best! esp fresh from the fruit itself..makes me think its summer...when it is SOO NOT ( its snowing as i type..sigh...)

I'm trying to catch up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MJ AND AARON!!!

I have been dealing with a house full of sickies this week. First my DH got sick. He has never missed a day of work in the 10 yrs we have been together, and he missed 4 this week :scared1: Fever, cough, aches...no sleep to be had in my house with him hacking away all night. I have been sleeping on the pull out couch so as not to contract his illness (since he had already contaminated the bedroom;) ) and that is not the most comfy. Then DD got the flu last night (or food poisioning?) and was up sick about 3 times. Ugh. So far, knock on wood, I am ok. Thankfully....only about 10 more days until I have this baby so I just need to hang in there and stay healthy!

We still have not agreed on a name, the nursery is not even close to done and I have no energy to deal with any of the mountains of laundry awaiting me. Anybody want to come clean my house? :rotfl:

Wow! The baby will be here so soon! I would be happy to help you with the house if I were closer and mine wasn't a mess itself. Gotta get it under control.

i just had to share this with you all. i just got off the phone with my mom. she said she and my stepdad went over to my grandparents' house today to help them clean up all the trees. well, about 40 people ended up showing up to help. she said people were all over the yard with saws and bags and trailers, etc., cleaning everything up. she talked to one of the girls and most of them were just a group of people that got together this weekend and just drove around to help people clean up their yards from the storm damage. mom said that my grandpa got them together before they left and tried to give them some money, but they wouldn't take it. after that he was thanking them and he got choked up a little bit and one of the little boys that was there came over and hugged him.....some kid he didn't even know! how sweet is that??????? :goodvibes  anyway, that whole story just made me feel good and i had to spread the joy. :flower3:

That is such a sweet story! :goodvibes I'm so glad grandma and grandpa are OK.

GOOD MORNING!

EVERYBODY.....Here's the birthday list. AGAIN I SAY....let me know if you're not on it! Ooooo....look who's birthday's tomorrow!

I know I haven't been around much lately, but I haven't left the Peeps. I'm missing from the list! My b-day is January 4th. And hi Melinda! :)

Happy crappy Monday Peeps,

We had a terrible weekend and it just keeps getting worse. Yesterday, when my dad went to pick-up my grandfather for church, he fouind him naked and laying on the bathroom floor. Everything was covered with feces and urine and my grandfather was completely delusional. Sadly, he had fallen Thursday night and had been lying there since. We see him every week for church and talk to him several times a week. He is super active for someone who is 83, in fact he still drives so it is , they of course ran a boat load of tests. He has a raging urinary tract infection that has gone septic. He has HUGE sores on his hip and shoulder that have become necrotic and need surgery. And the topper, the hospital called this morning with the results of the scan they did and he broke his neck. He is not a good surgical candidate because of his age and the only other option if they absolutely can't do surgery is a permanent neck brace. The spot where the break is is aparently very close to the area that controls his breathing. Now this man is VERY independent and refuses help. We have hired maid services and he fires them, we hired a lawn care service, yep, he canned them. He wants to do it all on his own. Just last month he put together a shed in his backyard. When they told him he will probably have to live in a nursing home permanently he said he would rather die. It is just so sad. He loves my boys and is a fantast great-grandpa. He was crying last night because he is so worried about his 17 year old cat because everyone in the family is allergic and can't take him. It is heart breaking. My granmother died early last year and his beloved cat has been his constant companion since.

And while extremely trivial in the great scheme of things, my knee is still a wreck. It is just adding insult to injury.

So sorry to hear about this. I understand what it's like to see your grandparents go through things like this. I will be thinking of you and your family.

Thanks Monica! Disneyland is so awesome! It was really hard to day good-bye this time since our AP's expire this week and no other trips are financially possible. Took lots of pics so I'll post them on my WDW TR as a mini-chapter...to make it super confusing.

Hope you had a GREAT trip Wendy! Can't wait to see pics! :goodvibes

I've been having tummy issues the past few days, and if it doesn't get better tomorrow, I'm calling the doctor.

I'm having a lia sophia party in April because I found out the perks are incredible! I just love their jewelry.

And tomorrow I am interviewing for a different job in the same department I work in now. It would mean I'd be working in my educational field, I'd be making more money, and I'd have not an office, but three walls, at least! :) I am REALLY hoping this works out.

I'm still 3 pages behind, but right now I am going to try to go get some rest to see if i can start feeling better tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

that probably depends on what i weigh on valentine's day! :rotfl2:

lynda - good luck on the interview! hope your tummy feels better tomorrow.

ray watches ESPN like 90 percent of the time and they play disney commercials at almost every commercial break. IT'S KILLING ME!

just had to mention this to you all. i got the new rolling stone yesterday in the mail and there's a huge article on britney spears in it. i've never been a big britney fan and i still don't really feel necessarily sorry for her (i just can't get over her risking her kids to behave the way she does), but this article really made me view her situation a lot differently. it's a very good article if you're interested.

here's the link. of course this is just a bit of it. the article's actually like 6 pages long and really does make me look at her situation a lot differently than i did before.

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/18310562/the_tragedy_of_britney_spears

they also have a great article on heath ledger in there, too. i love this description of his smile: there was the big frontal block of the smile, lines racing up from his chin to his ears; when he smiled, his face fanned brutal and turned warn; it was a great, manly smile, a smile that commanded.

here's the link to that article:

Diet-I have been doing well but tonight was hard.I was hungry when I got off work at 10:15 pm tonight and Dunkin Donuts was calling my name. Then I had to stop at the grocery store hungry, tired and craving something sweet.I came out with no junk and drove home without stopping at a fast food place.:cheer2: Today was HIGHLY stressful but I stayed under my calories with no "empty" calories eaten ....:goodvibes
woohoo! Sounds like success to me.

I'm just checking in to say hi. :wave2: College classes are delayed for 2 hours. :thumbsup2

My week has been insane.
sorry for such a terrible week

 for you and all of those who have suffered such terrible losses this week.

OH. MY. HECK! I'm speechless...except to say: Do you know how many diet Pepsi's I drink each day? And Crystal Lites? :scared: I automatically when all defensive and thought "well, maybe it's just sacchrin and not Nutra Sweet and Splenda" Is Stevia "natural"? I'm ded! :hippie:
I drink at least one diet soda a day, and I weigh 70 lbs. less than my highest when I drank sugary soda. I know I've made a lot of changes, but I just don't think the diet soda can be worse than the sugar in sodas. Years ago, many of the studies were funded by the sugar companies. I just have to use my life experience over a study.

Just don't spend too much time at Beaches and Cream--it's not peep friendly in there. :rotfl:
My mom has made me promise that when she dies, I use some of my inheritance to go to Beaches and Cream. She saw it on the travel channel, she loves Disney, and she has diabetes, so she would never be able to indulge in the kitchen sink herself. I hope that day is a long way off, but I do plan to take her up on it. Otherwise, I have no excuse to eat like that.

I went to the dentist yesterday, and i had a chance to read the People magazine article on Heath Ledger. It was just heart-breaking. That poor little girl.
As for Britney, I really feel for her. I believe she is mentally ill, and at this point she is no more able to make good decisions than someone paralyzed by a spinal injury can just get up and walk. I hope she gets the treatment she needs to turn her life around, and that some of the people around her help her with that rather than feed into her illness so they can continue to sponge off of her.

I forgot to say, I was STARVING today. I ate way too many calories early in the day, so off to the gym, then broccoli and chicken for dinner. I kept it under 1700, and burned 400 at the gym, but it was close.
Oh, and if someone is keeping track of miles, I've done 6.5 so far this week on the elliptical.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DISNEYFAV4EVER!

Fran

B2B/Kim

and anyone else who needs one

Ewwww... it's icy here! Last night was a nightmare -- suddenly got icy just as the evening commute started. I was a wuss and went home early (so I could vote AND get in before the roads froze), so I didn't have too many problems. It warmed up over night and things are better in my area this morning, but some places are still frozen over. I think I better move down south... I hate frozen precip (in all its forms, but ice is the worstest (sic))!!

Hope everyone is safe, especially my midatlantic and north east peeps that are dealing with this storm.

I'm so mad the VD weigh in is tomorrow and I am a bloated mess! AF is coming soon! But I have been eating awesome and drinking lots of water. I think my wedding dress is always in the back of my mind.

Weather here is gross!!!! Dont feel like going to work or class tonight but I'm saving up to call in sick for next Wednesday. Going to the Foo Fighters concert at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night so I'm sure Wednesday I'm going to be hungover!

I leave for disney in 12 weeks from today!!!

I posted my measurements back on 1/28. Here they are again today

Bust 38 Bust 38
Waist 30 Waist 30
Hips 40.5 Hips 40.25
Inner Left 23.75 Inner Left 23.00
Inner Right 23.50 Inner Right 23.00
Arms were a little under 11 Arms 10.5

So there has been a lose in my hips, inner thighs and arms.

I think the reason why my inner thighs and hips have been going down of course from eating right but more so I do this Turbo Jam workout called LOWER BODY JAM at least once a week. Its only 19 or 20 minutes long, super effective and its an all lower body workout using bands. I def think its making a huge difference in those areas.

Once I hit my 6 weeks before Disney I think I am going to do this workout 2x a week.

As far as my arms I have been doing the Jillian Michael workouts!

On top of all that i think its because I am using more resistance training along with my cardio.

my goal is to get my hips back down to a 38 measurement..that is what they were last July when I went to Vegas..

So i'm guessing no matter what the scale says tomorrow there is a difference!
