lynda e-mailed me about a question i asked her and she asked that i tell you guys she's still around, but having computer problems. this is what she said:
I have been dealing with major computer issues at home. My laptop got a virus, and we spent an evening trying to fix it, a few evenings backing up data that I couldn't lose, another evening restoring it, and tonight will be the second evening I will have spent re-installing programs and re-loading files onto it. And I was out of town Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. (A friend and I went to a concert in St. Louis.) Plus, in the past week we've had an ice storm, at least 6 inches of snow (in one night), then 50 degree weather (so all the snow melted and we had the most dense fog I've ever seen in my life!), and last night we had a LOT of rain which caused flooding since we just had all that snow melt into the ground. So, bottom line is, things have been CRAZY!!! I miss the Peeps! Tell everyone I said hi, and I'll be back there just as soon as I can be. I hope to finish up the computer stuff tonight or tomorrow night. Although I do have a hair appointment tomorrow night.
for those peeps who've checked in from the southeast - i'm so glad you're okay! my mom called me this morning and said my grandmother's entire front yard has no trees left in it, which is really sad because she had LOTS of big, beautiful trees in her front yard. they are very lucky to be alive right now....it just missed their house. my friend melanie said they found an 11-month-old baby in the middle of a field and he was okay. just crazy stuff! i hope all of your loves ones are okay. please pray for those families in the area that was affected. i think there's 12 dead in tennessee.
for those peeps who are stalled in their weight loss - stick with it!!!!! i just means that you're getting closer to your goal, that's all! i know it doesnt' seem that way, but i'm sure that's part of the reason. even if you have 20 more pounds to lose - think about it - lose 1 pound a week and 20 weeks from now (5 months!) you'll be at your goal!
OH DAWN>>>>>i totally thought of you yesterday, i had jury duty and the court reporter was talking into the "mask" like you use and i couldn't help think.." how does dawn wear that thing all day!??? it looks so stuffy and itchy! i give you much props for being able to do what you do! I would feel like darth vadar for sure!
OH sidenote..i was almost empaneled on the jury but i happened to know one of the witnesses! Needless to say i was thrilled since it was going to be a week long trial..
yep, that's what i do all day long. then i have to come home and type some of it up. fun stuff! did the court reporter's mask look like this?
that's what mine looks like. the old school ones are ginormous and go over your nose and everything, but mine just goes over my mouth.
glad you didn't have to be on a week-long jury! those are the worst.
Well I talked to DF, and he said that all the doctors know is that his heart is really, really weak. They're trying to decide what to do about it, but they're not sure what they can do.

I've never eaten at PF Changs, we got a local one about fifteen minutes away from my house, that opened a couple months ago, but I still haven't made it there yet.
