DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! - Part 5

Harley and Snow...

My arms waggle too!

I call them bat wings :sad2:

Chili does sound goooood!
Well at least that sounds like something a super hero would have.Look Ma she has bat wings lol:rotfl:

have you guys listened to the podcast from today? they're talking about the "curtains matching the carpet" as in dying your hair and having it match you-know-where. :lmao: i'm sitting there thinking....um......isn't this supposed to be a kid show??? then they said something about having a few hundred kids going to their moms and saying, "mommy, what does curtains match the carpet mean?"
Oh my all this before coffee:scared1:

Hi all
I woke up to the Heath Ledger news this morning - so sad :sad1: . I loved Brokeback Mountain, and 10 Things I Hate About You was one of the first films I saw at the cinema with Dfi, when we were just friends.

On a lighter note - Curtains matching the carpet!!!:lmao: So funny!

I know. My daughter is in mourning. She loved him. We have seen 10 things I hate about you often enough to recite the lines. Such a talented guy. So sad.

Hey, where in UK are you? I am making a somewhat insane journey over there in April to meet a guy in Scotland. I am beyond excited though and it is definitely diet incentive!:thumbsup2 He planned a weekend on Isle of Skye and it sounds so nice. I may never want to come home. Oh right, I have children to come back to.Damn.:rotfl:

Im in the north of England, my nearest 'big city' is Sheffield or Leeds. That is so cool that you are coming over to meet a guy - I  me a Scottish accent! Ive never been but a friend has visited the Isle of Skye, she adored it!
Darn kids, having to come back for them! :lmao:

I was listening it to myself! I thought it was hysterical! :rotfl: All I kept thinking was how thankful I am lasered "down there!!!" ;) I havent had to shave down there my upper legs and Arm pits for years!!! Laser Hair Removal is the best!!!! I highly recommend it!
I'm the happiest I did laser hair removal on my armpits! It looks fantastic! Dont you just hate it when you get that razor burn under there! I dont have that any more..its as smooth as a babies bottom! thank god!!!

anyway..did anyone watch the biggest loser last night! I thought it was a great episode!!!! I think this season is great! Everyone wants to get rid of the Black team..i thnk they should get rid of the purple team (the two girl best friends) One of them is a little minipulative and as a team they have hardly lost any weight! I cant believe one of them actually tried to throw the weightloss..they havent lost any weight in the first place to be throwing it! ...anyway great episode!

Wow!! I dyed the curtains today... don't bother with the carpet. :cool1:

I do the eyebrows though, does that count? How wrong is it that my eyebrows are gray, at 32!

:rotfl2: wow........you've got one on me. i have crazy amounts of gray all through my hair at 31, but none (that i know of at least) in my eyebrows.

Welcome Back Punkin!!

thanks!

never been lasered. i'm such a scaredy cat when it comes to any medical procedure that's not necessary!

by the way, did you guys know that heath ledger played the joker in the new batman movie that's coming out this summer? i found the trailer:

http://www.atasteforthetheatrical.com/deathtrap/default.htm

looks really good! he was so talented. any actor that's not afraid to take risks like that (i mean, he's not exactly attractive in that role and playing a gay cowboy isn't exactly conventional!) and do it so well is rare.

well, i'm off to the gym to try to undo the damage i did this weekend.

NO WAY! that was LOL funny! I wasn't quite awake when I started reading that and didn't "get it" at first.

I can't believe it was on the pod cast, though. That's one conversation I don't want to have with my boys - for them to share with the kids at school.

Don't you just love the pink team?
The purple team bugs the crap out of me! They are not a threat at all, so they stay. I can't wait till the trainers find out they drank tons of water just before weigh in to try to get rid of the black team! Oh boY!

Again, Biggest Loser DUDES sooooo need to keep their shirts on. I can say they have bigger "chests" than I do. I think ALL nipples need to be covered. Really!

More on Heath Ledger....This religious guy Fred Phelps (sp?) I don't know if he's a real reverend or pastor or whatever. But he and his followers are going to protest his funeral! Why???? Because Heath portrayed a homosexual in BBMtn. This is so crazy-mean! His character certainly did not glamourize homosexuality and I'm pretty sure by watching it no one magically turned gay. I hate HATE groups! I just want to protest the protestors! This is just soooo wrong also because he has a child and parents etc. who don't need that at the funeral. sorry to rant....that's a secondary story that is being focused on on the news... such a shame.

I survived. I didnt get the miles/time in that I wanted at the gym... dh says its a rebound effect from the marathon - good thing I've already paid for the 8K I would so NOT do it now!!

I agree, if the podcast is Disboards associated, they wont let us post inuendos but they can talk about carpets and dye jobs??? :scared1:

(now there is something to protest about!!)

Punkin I saw that trailer!! I think the AP is upset they didnt have an obit for Heath like they do for Brittney :sad2: and that MTV guy Dr Drew - he is interviewed "speculation, speculation... but.... yada yada" man this instant news is driving me crazy - wait for the facts! I hate the speculation!! was he depressed because of the break up? Was it alcohol drug combo? I heard he may have had pnemonia and it could be like Muppet Creator Jim Henson! :sad2: Matt Lauer said "yes, well, I will say I have a bottle of sleeping pills in my home too" :sad2: OK then - AP start an obit on Matt Lauer he has sleeping pills! ay yi yi...

BIGGEST LOSER I so think, "that's me" anyway, with dd temp the only time I could get out to the gym was last night - dang it was a 2 hour show!! When I left they decided to get rid of the BLACK team - and and and I thought the produc ers said no more water weight gain before weigh in - WHAT HAPPENED...

losing laptop gotta go

Hi Peeps!

This is a fly-by post. I am only working 4 hours today. I am going with DH and my parents to see "Cirque Dreams" tonight for my dad's b-day. I am really looking forward to it! I am being very peepish and leaving early enough so I can hit the gym before we go out. I didn't make it there last night because DH wanted to go shopping. Sometimes I think I married a woman in disguise. :sad2:

Quick funny story: My sweet little 3yo embarassed the bejesus out of me. I took him swimming at this super cool, indoor pool with slides and water cannons and all kinds of fun stuff. Well, he has a thing about getting his face wet and usually for the first 5 minutes we are at the pool he has to wipe his eyes everytime he gets wet. Thankfully, he gets over it pretty fast. As soon as we got in the water of course he wants to go down the slide so I am waiting for him at the bottom (it is only 2 feet deep but still, I get nervous) with another mom. When he hits the water he immediately covers his eyes because of the splash. So with his eyes closed, he walks over to the other mom grabs a sista in each hand and wipes his face off on her chest. :scared1: Thankfully, she was super cool about it and just laughed it off. Boys!! He won't be able to get away with that much longer.

On a less funny note, I was saddened to learn about Heath Ledger's death. I feel horribly for his 2yo daughter. He appeared to be a very dedicated father. I thought he was a fantastic actor and loved him in the "Patriot", "BBM", and "10 Things I hate about you". Very sad.

OH NOOO! How funny!

My boys are older (7 and 9) and they get super embarrassed when a Victoria's Secret commercial comes on or if we have to walk through the bra section at Walmart etc.

Now, my 18 year old doesn't mind ;)

Heath Ledger - what a shocker. He did not seem like the druggy type AT ALL. The Patriot is one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm a history nut... who can't remember dates; not a good combination. So that movie is right in my wheel house. But I digress. Is it terrible that one of my first thoughts was "how the heck does he die before Britney Spears?". Does that make me a bad person? And yeah, I saw the trailers for the new Batman movie a few weeks ago, and I was surprised just how creepy he was as the Joker.

Again, Biggest Loser DUDES sooooo need to keep their shirts on. I can say they have bigger "chests" than I do. I think ALL nipples need to be covered. Really!
I know! I've wondered out loud to my wife on more than one occasion why they make the guys take their shirts off while they are still very overweight, but then as they start to lose weight they are then made to keep their shirts on. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Aaron any update on lunch yesterday?? We were all pullin for ya here!!

I really have to get up -

Started a trip report - you can skip the wordy first post and move to my 2nd - pictures tell all - I'll try and do better!!

calling all peeps! i need help. i'm once again trying to help out my little brother. he has the worst luck - his engine recently blew out and then the next day he got laid off! anyway, he's gotten a new job that he loves so that's worked out. but he's having trouble finding a car. he doesn't have ANY credit (no bad credit - just doesn't have any) so he can't find anyone that will finance him. and he's only got about $500-600 to buy a car with. does anyone have any suggestions for him? just thought i would throw that out there and see what i get back.

that's just freaking ridiculous. get a life! and grow a brain. i mean, i didn't exactly admire anna nichole smith and her "work" either. does that mean that i needed to go protest her funeral, too? that's just dumb. everyone deserves to be remembered.

man this instant news is driving me crazy - wait for the facts! I hate the speculation!!

i know! two girls at the gym were both like, "he was found in mary kate olsen's apartment. i wonder what that's all about??? and there had to be something more than over-the-counter sleep medication, if you ask me." well, i didn't!!!!!! i just looked at them and said, "i don't think anyone knows what really happened yet and i'm not gonna speculate on it."

i just looked up the mary kate olsen thing and it's not true. and i'm pretty sure i read that the sleeping medication that was found nearby was prescription, not over-the-counter. so those girls are just morons.

Is it terrible that one of my first thoughts was "how the heck does he die before Britney Spears?". Does that make me a bad person?

nope....just proves you have common sense. :teacher: i loved him in the patriot, too!

Aaron any update on lunch yesterday?? We were all pullin for ya here!!
My will power won out in the end. As I expected, I had close to a dozen people asking me why I wasn't going down to get some steak (which I was told were close to 10 oz each). A few of them tried to convince me that I could just eat my sandwich for supper instead. Which is fine thinking, except that I had no plans of eating anything close to a 10 oz steak for supper; so at the end of the day I still would have eaten unhealthy. And the way my personality works, the more you try to convince me to do something I don't want to do, the more stubborn I get. And it doesn't hurt that I'm a rather unsocial person at work anyway. I'm not one to go out to lunch with co-workers or engage in 1/2 hour conversations with them. I've never been to our company Christmas party or our summer family picnic, either. I get along with everybody here (in fact I just had my yearly review this morning and one of my boss' comments was that everyone loves working with me because I'm so easy to get along with), I just don't have any desire to make new friends at work. So that made it a little easier to stay away, too, since everyone in my department would have ended up eating together in the lunch room. But now I'm getting way off topic...

All of us on the meat-eaters diet are freaking out on you right now....;)

aaron - i meant to tell you this earlier today. i played guitar hero before hitting the hay last night and i tried "pride and joy" by stevie ray vaughan. let's just say i have a new respect for him!!!!!

Punkin - Not much help from me. Don't know much about car financing. I'll send him a little pixie dust though. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Sparkie
- Not much help in the math dept. either, but TwinkieMama went to math camp (it was you twinks wasn't it?), so maybe she can help you. ;)

Ok, I took Trixie to the vet yesterday for her yearly checkup. It cost $250! :scared1: I go to church with my vet, and his daughter is in my daughter's Sunday School class, so I know it was all honest charges, but OH MY!!!! I got the optional bloodwork, which I usually don't do since they are young dogs, but forgot. :headache: I had to get more heartworm pills, and she had a yeast infection in one of her ears that we had to get an antibiotic for, and a cleaning solution, to help prevent it from happening again. All of that added up to $250! I love my pets dearly, but not the bills that go with them. :sad2:

He said that she is a very healthy dog, and it was almost exactly a year ago that she locked me out of my car! :lmao: I LOVE that dog though!

Welcome Back Punkin!!

Harley - lol -

I'm tired, but there is a difference with a trainer and w/o - I made it to the gym, couldnt concentrate, got dizzy.... left. depressing.

i think it makes a difference to me. i need my workout buddies, they make me laugh, they help keep it light and we all push each other and share tips etc. having someone to be accountable to in person is a big help at the gym.

Well at least that sounds like something a super hero would have.Look Ma she has bat wings lol:rotfl:
:lmao:

my DH doesnt mind either;)

Aaron- you are the man way to be strong

Punkin- cant he go get a prepaid credit card with the $ he has and start building himself some credit?

I so slept thru Biggest Loser last night. i'm off to watch the webcast now...

Punkin- cant he go get a prepaid credit card with the $ he has and start building himself some credit?

he could but the problem is that he and my dad are moving in a couple of weeks so he has to have a car before then because he'll be 10 minutes from work rather than 1/2 mile. i told him once he gets on track with the job/car that he needs to get a very small credit card with capital one or something to start building his credit up.

ANYWAY, the pixie dust musta worked because he got a car late this afternoon! he finally found a car lot that works with bad credit. he has to pay twice a month though, but the point is he has a car. he got a '99 chevy sonoma truck.
