DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! - Part 5

Gina - I wanted the Packers to win too. I'm a Miami fan though but I will root for the Pats at the Superbowl. I am not working today, I'm a SAHM. What type of work do you do again, I forgot?

Laura

laura...You ARE working today!!! As a SAHM you work 24/7 and don't let anyone tell you different! ;)

It was in the teens here in Buffalo last night as well. I am so cold, I started going to bed with 2-3 heating pads that go in the microwave to heat! :woohoo: It's the only thing that warms me up enough to go to sleep! (I got the idea from a woman at church who is in her late 80's and does this every night!)

Life is busy here, per usual, but at least I get to go to work 12-5 today, as I worked on Sat and am making up the hours today so I'm not over 40! I am getting a few things done here, then I am off to shower and go to work!

Hope you all have a good day!:goodvibes

Funny how a sports team can completly alter your mood, huh? I was in a great mood all week and the entire weekend; then the Packers had to go and pooh: their pants against the Giants. I am upset and a little bummed out. But on the bright side, that Super Bowl party that I was planning with my friends probably won't be happening. So at least I won't have that food temptation to worry about.

For those that saw the game, you know the kind of weather that we've been dealing with up here. I stopped at an ATM Sunday morning, and in the 30 seconds that my hands were exposed to the elements, they went from being toasty warm to being numb; as in, I couldn't feel the buttons that I was pressing. I don't think it got above zero all day. It is weird when the temp has to increase almost by double digits just to get above zero. But honestly, I wouldn't trade Wisconsin weather for anything. For every below zero, instant frost bite day in the winter that we have to put up with, we get a dozen beautiful not too hot, not too cold days in the spring and fall.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning all!
...Aaron..i am soo sorry the good guys didnt' win..i love Brett Favre.

Brett lives up the road from me. His daughter went to our school full time starting in the 6th grade. Before that she would go 1/2 the year there and the other half here. It just got to hard to continue that.

Had to take a second to chime in on this. I have a down throw blanket that I got a couple of years ago when the down and microfiber was all the rage. I put that on the bed and sleep on top of it. It adds a bit of softness but down is such a wonderful insulator. I do have 2 comforters on top as well so I'm toasty warm all night long.

I had a pretty good weekend. I didn't do much yesterday, just stayed warm and worked on our trip. We planned meals with our friends on Sat, some other friends came over before we were finished and asked what we were doing with all the travel guides (consecutive UG '06-'08 and the 2007 passporter) and the spread sheets. We told tehm it was our vacation and we had to make the plans so we could make ADRs. They looked at us funny and I told them that WDW isn't a vacation, it's a way of life and those that don't plan miss out on way to much. It just confirmed to them why they are very happy not to go back; ever. We have just enough people to do a grand gathering so we have booked 2 dinners and may try for the breakfast.

I had a cheat day on Sat and had just one taboo thing yesterday. I made sure I watched my intake since I wasn't doing anything. I'm back on plan today and so far so good. I have to work today  so I shouldn't have any problems this evening.

Gotta run, I need to leave soon. Have a great day!

No but the plumber just got here.Good news and bad news.Good news he thinks the furnace is working.bad news a pipe froze in the wall and when he thaws it it is going to flood.Perfect! Someone talk me out of going for the Chocolate!:scared1:

THE CHOCOLATE IS CURSED!!! :scared1: Do not be fooled. The kind you want is one of Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, and if you eat it, giant boils and pustules will cover your face and randomly pop and great gobs of stinky bubotuber puss will squirt out on whoever might be nearby. I implore you to take compassion on your friends, neighbors, coworkers and fellow DISers. Don't do it! :sad2:

(Ok, hoping you are familiar with Harry Potter jargon! If not, I sound like a raving lunatic! :rotfl: )

Oh and since my Cliffie Claven husband left me how do I get the tag removed? any ideas? when it rains it pours!

You should contact the Tag Fairy straight away! Maybe ask your favorite mod to deliver a message? Tell them that the tag is traumatizing you and must be removed straight away. :upsidedow

It's funny you should mention that. Whenever I see in your profile thingy where you are from I think to myself "I wonder if she knows Brett Favre". But then I always forget to ask. Now I know. Cool!

YAY..thanks for rooting for the pats now! :)
I am a loan coordinator ( ie processor) for a local mortgage company :) i probably will be leaving early today though..yippee!

I feel for ya..i hope you are going to be pulling for the Pats to clobber those giants now though ;)

THAT IS AWESOME. is he as nice as he seems to be? he looks like such an "all american" guy..

The One, The Only.....

pooh: MUFFINS!!!! aka: Thursday Muffins

(Weight Watchers recipe for "One Point Muffins")

*makes 24*

3 C. "All Bran" cereal (I call it nuts and twigs) either the nuggets or stick kind
2 1/2 C. water
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pkg. KRUSTEAZ Fat Free Brownie mix....can use any fat free brownie mix, I think!

Soak the cereal in water for at least 10 minutes.

Add baking powder, vanilla, and brownie mix and mix well. (I use Kitchen Aid)

Spray muffin pan with PAM then fill each tin about 1/2 full.

Bake in preheated 350* oven for about 25 minutes.

These have a fibery texture and are very very moist. PLEASE drink lots of water with them (this tip from Melinda)

thank you for reposting this..i will make some today to have before my Curves Weigh-In tommorow.you dont' have cal. info on them though by chance??

YAYYYYY! Your pants should fit better, I'm thinking, HA!

Utahmama, did you know there is another Utahmama on lowcarbfriends? I totally thought it was you, till she set me straight!

She's an imposter! Ohhhh I HATE having to come up with a new name. I'm just a lurker there. The recipe's ROCK!!!! If I need a dessert idea or a Superbowl Party idea...BAM! Cool recipes.

Wendy: That pizza recipe was very good. I think I over did it though. Is that possible? I just feel guilty. I had several pieces. Maybe I feel that way cause it's exactly how I'd feel if I ate regular pizza.
I think it's deadly rich! I can barely eat one piece (with a nice dark green salad). I swear it keeps me full FULL. The other night I made just the crust to dip into a low sugar spaghetti sauce and that was a treat. My kids absolutely love that pizza.

OH MY GOSH! YOU CRACK ME YUP!!!!!! That's how I'll imagine the chocolate chip cookies my DH made which are hiding safely away from ME in his locked trunk.

Ok, New Moon is just calling me! I-must-read................

New Moon is pretty good, just necessary to get to Eclipse.

Magic Pizza????? COOL! It's pretty heavy though. I wouldn't want to take a chance on THAT being in my gut come weigh day! I'd either gain or be a samer...which NEITHER will do!!

Can you imagine being on "myalli" with the cheese-on-cheese action of that pizza....OHHHH the sharts!

And there we have it folks.... :lmao:

Wendee, Monica, Twilight peeps near & far.....I spent the last hour reading Amy16's fanfic on the twilightmoms site which takes up where Eclipse left off. It was gooood. (Thanks to Wendy for recommending it!)

And those TwilightMoms are crazy obsessed! One went to the Jacob casting call! She got pictures of the Jacob-wanna-be's and the last one looks like he has definite potential. That is to say he looks like he could *blossom* into an New Moon Jacob by the time they make the second movie.

Gonna go eat my Fiber One now.

Carry on.

I dont know but if they are one WW point, they are probably 100ish???

I don't have my handy dandy ww slider to figure it out for you.

JUST remember to drink a LOT of water with them....they can backfire if you don't :rolleyes1

My favorite Jacob wanna-be was the kid in the too tight "M" hoodie thingie. He has to be super tall though. The last kid with the long hair looks more authentic, mayyyybe! It just looks like a bunch of every day kids showed up for that casting call. We need professional actor/models people!

I'm working on lower carb peanut butter cookies right now. Found the recipe on Low Carb Friends. Made with Splenda and they're too sweet (based on my batter lick). I'm hankering for something "sweet". The South Beach snack bars and 2-pack cookies are way expensive.

NIIIIIIIIIICE. :lmao:

I live in CT and hate the cold weather and every year I get older I hate it more. Yesterday it was in the teens here this morning it's 17. I have a friend who lives in Bartlett TN.

i live in georgia (hence not dealing with the cold weather well) but i come up to tennessee a good bit because i have family in nashville and gallatin.

Aaron..i am soo sorry the good guys didnt' win..i love Brett Favre. Stupid Giants..I'll make sure my boys do a number on them ;)

my dog is named after eli manning. :rolleyes1

gina, you know you're my girl, but i am NOT a patriots fan. i loathe tom brady....always have. but they are a good football team and i'm sure they'll win the superbowl this year.

I'm a Miami fan though but I will root for the Pats at the Superbowl.

my dad grew up in hialeah (just outside miami) and is a HUGE miami fan. needless to say, he's not a very happy guy this year!

i don't know how you deal with it! i would rather jog in 100-degree weather than stand still in anything below 30 degrees!

Hi Peeps. Just a quick fly-by to say that I have returned from the Home Planet and I'm already missing it. Have to say I gained 5 lbs while at WDW. Dang good thing I was only there for a week. This will blow the bottom out of my Valentine's Challenge but I'm going to get very motivated to get rid of it as soon as possible.

I'm super-dooper busy at work so won't be out here doing much chatting until I get caught up but I did want to say hi to all of you. I thought of you everytime I was bad but it wasn't enough to stop me from shoving the stuff in my mouth anyway.

I haven't read the 3000 pages of new posts yet. I hope everyone is doing okay.

mmm peanut butter cookies...droool
OH i made the MUFFINS...good stuff, i drank a ton of water so i am hoping they do not "backfire" on me. That recipe makes quite a few of them..i think i will stick them in the freezer to pull out "as neccesary" for the night before weigh ins ..lol :lmao:

lol! really!? i did not know that ..well its ok Dawn..i still think you rule ;) Seriously though, i am not a big Brady fan myself, but i do like the rest of the guys, esp. Tedy Bruschi...But Favre is my favorite quarterback in the league. Just out of curiousity why do you loathe Brady? I know nothing about him except he fathered a child he has basically nothing to do with and dates supermodels..oh wait..maybe i should loathe him too! :rolleyes1 ..but i will wait till the superbowl is over..lol

i am super excited about the Pats getting to the superbowl :cool1: ..but NOT excited that Green Bay is not going with them..
I am super excited too! Go Pats:cool1: :cool1:

Yes, I speak Potter and your post made me laugh out loud! and I somehow lost my appetite for chocolate. Thanks:hug:

Dawn - Was I supposed to remind you to read my mini Chicago trip report? If so, here it is.

Hope everyone had a great day!

I was good today. Walked for 30 minutes at lunch and rode the bike for 50 minutes tonight! Had plenty of water! And while I don't know exactly how to count my calories for dinner, I don't think it was anything bad. We had tortilla crusted chipotle lime tilapia. Yum! And broccolini to go with.

Okay, shameless plug... I added two more days to the Sept trip report, including my abortive attempt at the PEEP meet, which still makes me sad. :sad1: I have two more days to go. I am determined to finish it before Friday (when I leave for the next one!!!).

I have been a bad peep lately, I am so bad with staying good right before a trip!

guess what? i have to drive home tomorrow and we're supposed to have freezing rain here in nashville!!!!! :headache: why does the bad weather insist on happening when i'm doing my traveling? :confused3

Hi Peeps. Just a quick fly-by to say that I have returned from the Home Planet and I'm already missing it.

WELCOME HOME! :flower3:

Just out of curiousity why do you loathe Brady? I know nothing about him except he fathered a child he has basically nothing to do with and dates supermodels..oh wait..maybe i should loathe him too! :rolleyes1 ..but i will wait till the superbowl is over..lol

there ya go. exactly why i loathe him. that and i just think he's a pretty boy and he rubs me the wrong way. kinda the way i felt about john kerry in '04. i really didn't want to vote for bush but i just could not bring myself to vote for kerry......something about him just WASN'T RIGHT. that's how i feel about tom brady. sorry to bring up politics......that's totally not a subject anyone wants to talk about. just an example of my "i don't like you for some unexplained reason" intuition!

Dawn - Was I supposed to remind you to read my mini Chicago trip report? If so, here it is.

yes......thanks! although i have to wait until tomorrow to read it because i'm still in tennessee and on my mom's dial up connection, so pics take forever to load!

Ok the horror. But the first time in 21 days, I must add..........I went to this place and ordered some food at the drive thru. I had no time to eat dinner with 4 hours of school ahead of me. Long story there.........

It rhymes with Baco Smell.

I hope it didn't do too much damage. I am 1 pound down from yesterday. Who knew?

Back on track!

Just being accountable and have about 75 more pages to read.

It snowed here again.

Boys are both well enough to go to school. Zach is back to his pre-Christmas weight. Thanks to the flu.

He still isn't 100%.

I woke up with a killer sore throat the am.

I'll check back in later after I'm done with New Moon. It's hard to fit in reading time with all my homework and now taxes are calling my name!

I still have one more book to go!

Have a skinny day!
