Dance? I KNOW you not only love to find a great bargain, but you know what is in our area!

I have had good luck with the usual suggestions-Target, old navy...there is even a Gap outlet up here by me now at th Allen outlets. Also, try CATO. (www.catofashions.com, there is a store less than 5 mils from me, but not sure where they are close to you) They have plus size and regular size and they are CHEAP. They also have layaway, which nobody does anymore and you would never need htere unless you wanted a ton of stuff, but it is a neat feature. I have to add though, the quality is fairly cheap too, but if they are transition stuff who cares. (not like fall apart cheap, but not the best fabrics ands tuff. Some of it feels sort of thin if that makes sense.)

Hope that helps. Their stuff is pretty cute I think. I may actually shop there a little this week myself now that I pulled up their site. All those babydoll type shirts are so in right now and good for a growing belly!

Just poppin in to say hi! I'm off to church.................................

yes, we have a loft near the mall i frequent, but i'm too scared to go in there...i'm afraid i'll spend too much money. i remember when i was shopping for a dress for my sister's college graduation i went into the regular anne taylor because they had some really cute dresses in the window. then i looked at the price......:scared1: i'm sorry....even if i was a millionaire i don't think i could spend that much money on one article of clothing! i know that loft is discounted stuff, but i also know i'm very bad about purchasing too much when it's on sale......i inherited that "but it's on sale so it's okay" mindset from my dad!

thanks for the woooo hooty! these last few pounds are driving me crazy. i was shedding the weight a lot quicker when i first started. now it's s-l-o-w-i-n-g down big time!!! i do have to share that i went into old navy outlet the other day because i love their tank tops to work out in and i needed some more.....anyway, while i was there i got a pair of khaki shorts because they were on sale for $12.99 (see what i mean??? they're on sale and i had to buy them!!!) and i didn't have time to try them on, so i figured what the heck and got a size 8 just to see if they would fit. i got them home and they fit perfectly!!! i've been wearing them all weekend.

The Loft puts whatever is going on clearance on the clearance rack on SUndays...so sometimes if you go on a SUnday, you can get a great deal.

After a week of slightly swerving away I've learned my lesson. I gained 4 pounds this week :( It's really disheartening, but I think i needed tough love. After an hour of being tragically upset and trying to figure out if I was due for a visit with my least favorite aunt, I just hope that I can continue on. It just makes me really sad to remember how excited I was last week when i was almost halfway to a number I haven't seen in a really really long time.

We've all been there Nicole....many of us over and over again! Jump back onto the wagon. WE'll be here struggling right along with you!

gaining always sucks, but 4 pounds is not the end of the world! you can work that off in a couple weeks.....just put your mind to it! we're all here to help!

for those of you who are calorie counting, we just went grocery shopping and DH found these things called pringles baked wheat stix that he wanted to try. there were two flavors - vanilla and honey butter. we got the honey butter ones and they are very yummy and only 90 calories per pack! the taste was a good sweet/salty mixture. just thought i'd pass this along.....a good way to stop a snacky-type craving without blowing your calorie count for the day!

so we haven't heard from wonders yet. i guess that means her date's going well!!!!!

Hi everyone!!I have had a wonderfully lazy weekend which is almost unheard of around here.I have read so many pre-trip and regular trip reports my head is spinning.:upsidedow
I did not post on Friday but I did weigh.I am now 1 lb above my starting weight.:sad1: :sad2: :guilty: None of my clothes are going to fit when I go to Disney at this rate. Not to mention I head back to the beach on Saturday for Tyler to play in a tournament.Sorry to whine I know it is all my fault and noone elses.

I do find it a little funny that I am more upset about not fitting in my Disney tshirts than in a bathing suit.:rolleyes1

Wonders is on a date??I need to check in here more often!!

Yep,Dene,I have my priorities just right.:teeth:

I've got a problem that I actually love having and many people would love to also have... In the last 6 months, I've spent a small fortune on clothes because of my weight loss. (Already given away 6 bags full of clothes, have another bag's worth ready to go, and I need to weed out the closet again.) For years there was only 1, maybe 2 stores where I could shop (sizes 28-32 aren't found just anywhere). Soooo, I've been used to having very limited choices and having to pay whatever they asked.

Most of the clothes I've been buying lately have come from Lane Bryant because I tend to like their styles (youngish without being for teens, sexy but not sleezy, dressy casual)... but even on sale and with spend $150/get $50 off things it has been adding up.

Thankfully, now I can wear 18s & 20s (maybe 16s if they were cut right because some of my 18s are getting big and the 18 dresses I tried on at Dillards swallowed me). If it weren't for this stupid extra skin on my belly, I could probably be a size smaller (cannot wait until I can get it surgically removed).

Because my size range has changed, I have realized that now, I can shop other places. Heck, I can even buy stuff from Victoria's Secret  (had to order it online, cause they just don't have the XL in the store). I know there has to be someplace where I can get cute, inexpensive clothes to wear during my transition phase.

Any ideas Peeps?

Dance? I KNOW you not only love to find a great bargain, but you know what is in our area!

Lands End online and Talbots online are having their annual mega online sales. Great deals and a wide variety of sizes (shorts and talls too!). Dress Barn is great too -- you have to be a bit selective as some of the stuff is really old lady, but they've also gotten some really cute stuff in the past couple of years.

HOW EXCITING!!! Sounds promising. Cant wait to hear how it went!!

Not a traditional mattress, but I cannot recommend highly enough a Select Comfort bed. We have had one going on 9 yrs now and LOVE it. I have had back problems my whole life (my car was hit by a semi when I was 18...long story) and this is the only bed I have ever had that I wake up feeling rested and not sore. I could sleep comfortably even 9+months pregnant with Amanda, on my stomach even. The best part is, when you need it more firm, it can be with the touch of a button. And your Dh can have his side his way. Their wty is great too. We ahd a small issue with our pump about ayr ago, and we got a replacement for a $50 pro-rated charge, after 8 yrs! I think after this long we for sure would have been mattress shopping again, but I dont ever see us moving on from this bed. OH, and there are lots of models of their beds. We just have the middle of the road version, not even a pillow top version.

I'll second the vote for Select Comfort mattresses! I LOVE mine. Only had it 2 years, but have an aunt that has had one for 20 and it is still great. They are super comfortable and super transportable. Warning -- they are delivered in boxes (yes I said boxes). It's sort of like "build-a-mattress." I will say that it is super easy to do (I built mine completely by myself). The only bad part was carrying the parts up the steps. The boxes were too heavy for me to carry by myself, so I unpacked downstairs and carried the stuff up. On the up side it was great exercise going up and down the steps all of those times.... anyhoo they are super comfortable, adjustable, and can save a marriage! :rotfl2:

I don't think I'm familiar with Maurice's... I'll have to see if they are in the area. Honestly, when I've been in the mall and such lately, I've been too chicken to go in and find out the size ranges that stores carry (flash backs to when I was bigger and was very bluntly told "we don't carry anything your size")

Maurice's is a mall store. I actually shopped there occasionally before they started offering those sizes because they had shirts in XXL & sometimes skirts or dresses too. I think they've always carried up to 16's or 18's, but now there is more selection and more sizes. I went there today to look for those dressy capris, and I found a really cute pair of dressy capris and a button up shirt in a 16! That's the first 16 anything I've had on in ages! :woohoo: I also tried on a really cute skirt, but didn't get it yet. It was an 18, and I think I would be able to wear a 16 before TOO much longer in that skirt, but I don't know that they will still have it at that point. Our store is small, and they didn't have all the items in my sizes. I may go ahead and get the skirt soon - just not sure yet. I'll have to post a pic from the wedding so you all can see the new outfit. I think it's gonna be cute with my new Steve Madden shoes!!!

You couldn't be more right! It was :cloud9: . To give you an idea...we met up at 1:30 and I got home at 8:30. :goodvibes

So that was it...I won't bore you with the details.

WHAT?!?!??!!?!? :scared1: I DO hope you're joking! We want details! (If you don't mind giving them of course.)

ok so I'm totally not that mean...I can't wait to spill the dirt on my date.

He was a little late. He hadn't been to this theater before so we got lost, but no biggie, I picked up the tix for the next show and waited for him. He looked very nice...jeans and a polo, very clean shaven (which is not how he is everyday....he gets 5 o'clock shadow at 9am). We headed into the theater and as we were sitting he tells me I look very nice. (Just for reference, I went with what I know. My black bermudas, a white embroidered fitted tee, black sandals and denim jacket if I was cold.)

We chatted before the movie started a little. Then about midway through the movie, I was shivering I was so cold. So I put on my jacket and said "I'm freezing" which was his cue to put his arm around me for the 2nd half of the movie. ;)

(Sidenote: The movie was definitely good. I was disappointed with the ending compared to the ending in the book. But all in all it was good.)

Anyway, after the movie, he says "thank you" and I asked for what, and he said for asking him to the movie. And then......

He kissed me! (I know girls aren't supposed to kiss on the first date but I just couldn't resist)

So then we headed off in search of food. We ended up at Legal Seafood. He ordered for me (I picked it out though). I'm so not used to guys with manners. We talked and had some good conversation. Then we had coffee and split dessert. He even held my hands a couple times during dinner. :cloud9:

Then we just wandered around and talked and talked and talked. And maybe kissed a little more. And talked and before I knew it, it was 8:00! So he walked me to my car and we said our good-byes. He definitely brought up the idea of us doing it again, but we'll see. The ball is in his court now. I really hope he wants to though.

But overall, it was fabulous. I couldn't ask for a better first date. Thanks so much for offering your opinions and suggestions too!

I know it wasn't a "date" but did he pay? What did you do after the movie? Did he hold doors for you?? I need to know!! Are you going out again?? :wizard:

Hypothetically speaking of course....if I wanted to copy a photo from a website, just to show it to somebody (not to sell or make prints) and the page is protected, anyone know how to do that? I want to copy a pic from my sisters wedding from his site, just to show you guys and I know there is a way. Either control then c, or print screen...not sure.

Anyone??

I tried to do that with another site related to my TR but no go. ;) Usually you can right click on the photo and then click on "save picture as" but it didn't work for me. :confused3
