I tried to do that with another site related to my TR but no go. ;) Usually you can right click on the photo and then click on "save picture as" but it didn't work for me. :confused3

I know there is a way when that doesnt work. Just cant remember it! I think it is control something or print screen and then something else....For once I actually like one of my pictures and want to share!

ok so I'm totally not that mean...I can't wait to spill the dirt on my date.

He was a little late. He hadn't been to this theater before so we got lost, but no biggie, I picked up the tix for the next show and waited for him. He looked very nice...jeans and a polo, very clean shaven (which is not how he is everyday....he gets 5 o'clock shadow at 9am). We headed into the theater and as we were sitting he tells me I look very nice. (Just for reference, I went with what I know. My black bermudas, a white embroidered fitted tee, black sandals and denim jacket if I was cold.)

We chatted before the movie started a little. Then about midway through the movie, I was shivering I was so cold. So I put on my jacket and said "I'm freezing" which was his cue to put his arm around me for the 2nd half of the movie. ;)

(Sidenote: The movie was definitely good. I was disappointed with the ending compared to the ending in the book. But all in all it was good.)

Anyway, after the movie, he says "thank you" and I asked for what, and he said for asking him to the movie. And then......

He kissed me! (I know girls aren't supposed to kiss on the first date but I just couldn't resist)

So then we headed off in search of food. We ended up at Legal Seafood. He ordered for me (I picked it out though). I'm so not used to guys with manners. We talked and had some good conversation. Then we had coffee and split dessert. He even held my hands a couple times during dinner. :cloud9:

Then we just wandered around and talked and talked and talked. And maybe kissed a little more. And talked and before I knew it, it was 8:00! So he walked me to my car and we said our good-byes. He definitely brought up the idea of us doing it again, but we'll see. The ball is in his court now. I really hope he wants to though.

But overall, it was fabulous. I couldn't ask for a better first date. Thanks so much for offering your opinions and suggestions too!

WOOOO HOOOOTY!!!!!

I've been checking back here since 5 to see how the date went!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1: :cool1: :grouphug:

Maurice's is a mall store.

i meant to say this before...i love maurice's, too! for those of you with my my-hips-are-bigger-than-my-waist problem, i have found their jeans to fit me really well. but they have several different kinds so try them all on and see which one works best for you. i can usually get their jeans around $29.

So that was it...I won't bore you with the details.

  i was ready to freak out, but then i saw that you were just kidding!

So I put on my jacket and said "I'm freezing" which was his cue to put his arm around me for the 2nd half of the movie. ;)

:yay: :yay: :yay:

i'm so glad you had a good time!!!!!!! i just knew he liked you when he said he'd go to see harry potter even though he didn't really like it!

so for any BB fans out there, i have a question for you......what the heck is wrong with jen? seriously. is she mildly retarded? during her conversation with nick she was saying "like" so many times that i started counting. i counted up to 17 in that 2-minute conversation. and that was AFTER i noticed it, so who knows how many times she said it before i started counting!!! i know i say that word a lot too, but nothing compared to her! anyway, she just seems like a complete idiot. i wonder if it's all an act?

Omigosh!!! :cheer2: Sounds like a great date! Woo Hooty for you!!! How exciting! I can't wait to hear more. All of us married women are living vicariously through you. I'm so happy for you that it went so well! :goodvibes

I've got a problem that I actually love having and many people would love to also have... In the last 6 months, I've spent a small fortune on clothes because of my weight loss. (Already given away 6 bags full of clothes, have another bag's worth ready to go, and I need to weed out the closet again.) For years there was only 1, maybe 2 stores where I could shop (sizes 28-32 aren't found just anywhere). Soooo, I've been used to having very limited choices and having to pay whatever they asked.

Most of the clothes I've been buying lately have come from Lane Bryant because I tend to like their styles (youngish without being for teens, sexy but not sleezy, dressy casual)... but even on sale and with spend $150/get $50 off things it has been adding up.

Thankfully, now I can wear 18s & 20s (maybe 16s if they were cut right because some of my 18s are getting big and the 18 dresses I tried on at Dillards swallowed me). If it weren't for this stupid extra skin on my belly, I could probably be a size smaller (cannot wait until I can get it surgically removed).

Because my size range has changed, I have realized that now, I can shop other places. Heck, I can even buy stuff from Victoria's Secret  (had to order it online, cause they just don't have the XL in the store). I know there has to be someplace where I can get cute, inexpensive clothes to wear during my transition phase.

Any ideas Peeps?

Dance? I KNOW you not only love to find a great bargain, but you know what is in our area!

Dene, what a great problem to have. I will be honest... I am super cheap and have been getting a lot of my "transition" clothing at Target and Walmart. Walmart has a good selection of 16-18 dress pants and they are usually $20 and under. Ross and TJMaxx are also good ideas, as well as Eddie Bauer (esp outlet, they have great sales!).

I started out this weight loss effort at a 16-18 and I found it a difficult size. You are sort of too small for the Lane Bryant/Women section, but not quite small enough for the Misses section.

gaining always sucks, but 4 pounds is not the end of the world! you can work that off in a couple weeks.....just put your mind to it! we're all here to help!

for those of you who are calorie counting, we just went grocery shopping and DH found these things called pringles baked wheat stix that he wanted to try. there were two flavors - vanilla and honey butter. we got the honey butter ones and they are very yummy and only 90 calories per pack! the taste was a good sweet/salty mixture. just thought i'd pass this along.....a good way to stop a snacky-type craving without blowing your calorie count for the day!

so we haven't heard from wonders yet. i guess that means her date's going well!!!!!

Yumm, those sound good. I love to measure out a cup of dry bfast cereal, too, or a bag of ff popcorn, if I get the munchies.

But overall, it was fabulous. I couldn't ask for a better first date. Thanks so much for offering your opinions and suggestions too!

Wonders, that is SO FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! I am so glad that your date went well!!

Hypothetically speaking of course....if I wanted to copy a photo from a website, just to show it to somebody (not to sell or make prints) and the page is protected, anyone know how to do that? I want to copy a pic from my sisters wedding from his site, just to show you guys and I know there is a way. Either control then c, or print screen...not sure.

Anyone??

Shift-Print Screen, then open up a word document or image program like MS Paint and do Control-V (paste). Paint is best because you can crop out the screen stuff you don't want. Just hypothetically, of course! ;)

Nicole, sorry you had a bad week... jump right back up with us!

I was bad last night and caved into Mexican food and waaaay too much liquid refreshment. I am paying for it today (still!).

Hope everyone had a great and skinny weekend!

I know it wasn't a "date" but did he pay? What did you do after the movie? Did he hold doors for you?? I need to know!! Are you going out again?? :wizard:

I didn't cover these things in my report....he paid for dinner, I got the movie tickets. Dinner was semi-pricey too. He did hold doors for me, unless I totally beat him to it, but then he would grab it and let me go first. A perfect gentleman. A 2nd date sounds promising but that's up to him now.

I don't have a print screen button??!! I am usually computer savoy but this is a bit complex for me!!

Heheheee. I knew somebody would know how! Off to do a little project...hypothetically of course. (on a serious note, his prints are ridiculously cheap and I plan to pay for any prints I want. But he has a few good ones online tonight, still a TON more he has to upload. So I am just not ready to place my order yet!)

Awww...man! That isnt working. He must really have his site protected. I have done it on other photographers sites and it worked. Grrr!

Kat-I tried what you said. I hit shift and Prnt scrn then I did control + v on paint and got nothing??

It may depend on your computer... try just hitting print screen, then doing the control-v. You can also try doing Edit->Paste from Paint. I tried both shift-PS and plain PS and it works.

Oh, and I am assuming that you are on Windows XP?

Dance, what happens when you hypothetically try this out? Does it show up as x's?

Pretty much everything shows up except the picture  All the words copy, although they are a different color.

Oh...and tomorrow morning I'm heading to the Dentist :scared1: It's my consult appt to see what the issue is with my teeth hurting off and on.

Please send loads of pixie dust that I get through it ok and that I don't need as much scary work as I think I do.

Thanks Peeps! :cloud9:
