WOW!! I think I need that show. I never know what is a good style for me so when I find something I tend to buy several of them. They would probably throw out my entire closet. Speaking if that -- I have cleaned a lot of our clothes out of our closets and given them to a goodwill oriented place. I just keep the paper that says we brought stuff for tax time.

UPDATES Ryan--for the most part is he doing well, but yesterday and this morning have been very rough on his body. Between his rejection drugs and antiviral drugs it is making him very ill. Please keep them in your prayers. Bruce went home form the hospital yesterday and will still be on IV antibiotics for another 4 weeks to clear up the staph. He is getting energy back, but it is still going to be a long road.
Both of these families would like to thank each and every one of you for your prayers--they were amazed!!

So my girlfriends told me that after yesterday's flirting success, I needed to make a move. So I did. I asked him if he liked Harry Potter (I do!). He thought about it and said "no". :guilty: "why" he asks. Well I want to go see the new movie but no one will go with me ;) "I'll go with you". So he asked when would be a good time and we both agreed on Sunday and I put him in charge of picking a theater and time, then calling me with the plans. He gave me his number and he made sure he had mine. So now I have to sit in agony and hope that he doesn't change his mind and cancel on me...or worse yet forget about it and not call me at all. But he immediately said..."we should go". So I guess that's good. I'm sooo much more comfortable around him now. Thank goodness. Then we chatted a bit more and took a quiz that my friend forwarded to me...to tell you what cartoon character you are. I'm Elmo. He's SpongeBob. :rotfl: (some of the multiple choice questions...1)what's your perfect date? His answer, was a candelight dinner. Who would you rather spend time with? His answer, someone that is fun)

So not a huge update persay and I even questioned posting it because I didn't want to jinx it by talking too much about it, but I can't help it. I'm excited. So send some pixie dust that he calls me and the "date" goes really well.

End of Crush update.

Now I really need to get some work done but my tummy hurts and all I want to do is lay down.

Hope you feel better...
But, let me just put in my two cents... if a guy who doesn't like Harry Potter says he'll go see a HP movie with you, he is def interested. Trust me, my DBF hates it and saw the first 3 movies with me when I was still reading the books and such and reminded me every second that I was lucky he loved me! :rotfl2:

Happy Saturday Peeps!

He called! :goodvibes But he needs to call me back because the theater he wanted to go to was closed, blah, blah. But the point is he didn't forget and he said he'll call me back tonight. So it sounds like it is all a go.

If anyone is around and would like to help me pick out something to wear, that would be great! I want to be comfy because we're going to be at the movies, not too hot because its 90-something out there and sweat is not attractive. And of course, really really cute ;)

Jeans, cute top, flip flops?
bermudas, cute top, denim jacket, sandals?
other??

Thanks...

Am I too late? I say khaki capris, flip flops and a cute top. Too much more and you will put pressure on him if he didn't dress as nice. If it's not an official date then try to make it as casual as possible so he doesn't freak out. Plus, the more casual you are the more relaxed you will be!! princess:

Shannon, how exciting!! Let us know how it goes.

DH and I spent all day mattress hunting. I think I laid on about 100 mattresses and listened two about 20 sales pitches today. I am so confused. I want to invest in a good mattress - medium-firm. One that will help with my back problems. Any suggestions.

Some sort of capris/cropped pants with a cute "summery" top (something with straps), sandals, cute earrings (loops or spirals work well). That look works for a movie, lunch/dinner, or a club (seen it/worn it in all those places).

Not a traditional mattress, but I cannot recommend highly enough a Select Comfort bed. We have had one going on 9 yrs now and LOVE it. I have had back problems my whole life (my car was hit by a semi when I was 18...long story) and this is the only bed I have ever had that I wake up feeling rested and not sore. I could sleep comfortably even 9+months pregnant with Amanda, on my stomach even. The best part is, when you need it more firm, it can be with the touch of a button. And your Dh can have his side his way. Their wty is great too. We ahd a small issue with our pump about ayr ago, and we got a replacement for a $50 pro-rated charge, after 8 yrs! I think after this long we for sure would have been mattress shopping again, but I dont ever see us moving on from this bed. OH, and there are lots of models of their beds. We just have the middle of the road version, not even a pillow top version.

I've got a problem that I actually love having and many people would love to also have... In the last 6 months, I've spent a small fortune on clothes because of my weight loss. (Already given away 6 bags full of clothes, have another bag's worth ready to go, and I need to weed out the closet again.) For years there was only 1, maybe 2 stores where I could shop (sizes 28-32 aren't found just anywhere). Soooo, I've been used to having very limited choices and having to pay whatever they asked.

Most of the clothes I've been buying lately have come from Lane Bryant because I tend to like their styles (youngish without being for teens, sexy but not sleezy, dressy casual)... but even on sale and with spend $150/get $50 off things it has been adding up.

Thankfully, now I can wear 18s & 20s (maybe 16s if they were cut right because some of my 18s are getting big and the 18 dresses I tried on at Dillards swallowed me). If it weren't for this stupid extra skin on my belly, I could probably be a size smaller (cannot wait until I can get it surgically removed).

Because my size range has changed, I have realized that now, I can shop other places. Heck, I can even buy stuff from Victoria's Secret  (had to order it online, cause they just don't have the XL in the store). I know there has to be someplace where I can get cute, inexpensive clothes to wear during my transition phase.

Any ideas Peeps?

Dance? I KNOW you not only love to find a great bargain, but you know what is in our area!

Thanks everyone! He called back almost exactly 2 hours later. We're going to a nice theater, but he hadn't been there before. So he asked if there were any restaurants around it and there are! So sounds like we're getting something to eat after. Which is good because how much conversation can we get in during a movie anyway? Although I did have a little brain fart. He asked if the 1:15 showing was fine but then it sounded like he meant he'd meet me at 1:15. But the movie starts at 1:15 :confused3 I'm not too concerned because another showing starts 20 minutes later so we can always catch that one. I'm pretty excited but anxious to see how he acts when we are alone outside of the clinic walls.

Still haven't decided on what to wear. Why is this so hard for me? My girlfriend said "girly colors". Most of my things are very neutral and look like they came from a JCrew or Gap catalog...khakis, white and black. Not so "girly". We'll see.

Hope you're all having a great weekend! :cutie:

What a great problem to have! I have a lot of luck with the Gap and Old Navy for more casual things. I've gotten a couple nicer tops and pants at the Gap. Mostly online with the Gap (tops they have in XL, but not always 16s or 18s in bottoms). Old Navy always has varying sizes in their stores and online too. I get a lot of things at Macy's. They have good sales a lot but if not, it can definitely add up. I'd say that right now I'm a 16...and an XL or L in tops depending on the style and brand.

Happy shopping!
