I feel like I'm going to the gallows today................ok, maybe that's a little dramatic since I've been reading about Henry the 8th........

ok, I guess that's the stocks, but you get my point. I'm on my way in 10 minutes to the dentist. I'm trying positive thinking and the whole "thank heavens for pain killers and I'm not in a chair with a little man standing on my chest yanking away while I scream".............

LOVE the pic......too cute! good luck. let us know how it goes!!!

I feel like I am watching EDTV (does anyone remember that Matthew McConaghy movie?)

how can anyone forget anything that matthew mc. was in???? thanks for the update. although i'm not sure who's who because i don't know the names yet. i kinda have an idea now and all i have to do is go the website to put faces with names.

hey, has anyone ever heard of papaya enzymes? i went to lunch with anna (wonderwoman) today and she offered me one. they're supposed to aid in digestion and i need all the aid in that area i can get so i took 2 after lunch! we went to chili's and shared the cedar plank tilapia and the lettuce wraps and normally both those dishes tear my stomach up, but i've only had a couple of little pains this afternoon. so maybe this stuff works! i told her to get me a bottle next time she's in GNC. they taste really good, too....orangey flavored. just thought i'd pass it along!

I haven't heard of papaya enzymes but I did read in a book that a quick way to shed a few lbs fast (water weight) is to take a garlic pill and a papaya tablet (I guess a supplement?) twice a day before meals and chug a ton of water. I tried it once and I don't remember if it worked but I got paranoid that I was starting to smell too garlicky so I didn't do it again.

Winkers...it was winkers, right?...I'm dying to know how you made out at the dentist! I'm sure you did mahvelous!

I bit the bullet and called to set up an appt with the dentist. Because of my wacky schedule they couldn't fit me in until Monday morning so I have to wait a week. I'm not so nervous about this because it is just a consult, but I'm way nervous about what he is going to tell me I need done. :scared1: And I'm totally going to ask if he can prescribe me some anxiety medicine for before my appts. ;)

I had camp today...we have a new camper! Luckily she is not a behavioral kid that will be climbing the walls like J. She just has CP. I didn't spend too much time with her today though...she seems like a good kid. Oh and I'm bringing Phoebe in on Wednesday! I can't wait to show her off to the kids! Send pixie dust that she is on her absolute best behavior!

After camp, I saw the crush, A., in the student room when I went in there to check my mailbox. He approached me about a final we have together on Wednesday. It is online so we can use our books/notes, but we are both concerned about it. So I suggested that we study together tomorrow after our classes. And he agreed. I really hope he doesn't ask other people to study with us...particulary 2 girls that I really really cannot stand that I know have mentioned studying to him. And hopefully he won't cancel on me either. But we'll see how it goes.

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start!

OH Yeah...Today's my 24th Wedding Anniversary! DH & I are going to Olive Garden for dinner tonight! I can't wait!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!24 years!!

speaking of kids, eventer & dance, have either of you been to the doctor yet?
I go tomorrow at 1:00. I am starting to get excited finally, now that the shock has worn off. It helps that DD is excited too. Every day she pats my tummy and talks to it...she insists she sees it growing already  I sure hope not!

:lmao: LOVE the pic!!

Go back to the Dr. in the morning for the dreaded blood sugar test--It always makes me ill for several hours afterwards. So far all is going well--I am getting big and she is always moving. It is VERY HOT here so I am trying to stay inside as much as possible. I will update after the Dr. tomorrow.
I must be weird but I didnt hate that test last time around. Everyone said how gross the stuff was to drink, and I actually didnt mind it at all. I had an orange one and it tasted like flat orange soda to me. I thought for sure I was gonna fail that test because I didnt mind the taste! :rotfl:

Another hot cloudy day here....no swimming today, we hit the outlet mall. The one somewhat close to here just opened some new stores....including a DISNEY outlet! I scored some adult T shirts for $3! And a hat for about the same....toys for DD for less than $5. I walked out with a bag of stuff for $18!!! I found my new favorite shopping place :goodvibes I am having fun buying matching shirts for my sisters and I for our Sept trip. :goodvibes We took a girls only trip exactly 10 yrs ago this Sept, so it will be a reunion of sorts. I will have to use my white trash scanner (aka digital camera) to show some then and now pics after we go. What a difference 10 yrs has made for all of us. Between us 3 sisters, we have had 3 weddings, one divorce, one kiddo and one on the way, moved probably 5 times between us, lost and gained probably close to 75 pounds between us all....lots of changes.

No internet at my house -

I was going insane, so I drove to the library - there was a 30 min wait and only 60min to play - I make adr's tomorrow - I N EED INTERNET!! :rotfl:

Belle I am so jealous!! BUT if you miss any of your showtime you positively can read minute by minute of Big Brother at www.tvclubhouse.com - just click till you get to BB USA season 8 click on Live Feeds - they do an amazing job of transcribing those live feeds 24/7 -

If you miss a show, you go to house discussions or under live feeds, and there are "updates" of happenings - either show or feeds (and we think ERic America's Player is NOT nice, very rude, has a terribly foul mouth... we like what we see of Evel Dick (he spells it evel btw) and his dd Danielle - we're not sure of - but they definately decided (per Sunday's show and in the feeds) to form an alliance - or ie "I've got your back, I could never betray my dd" He seems to have some geniune feelings for her, and she geniunely doesnt know if she can trust him again - interesting!! In the tvclubhouse link in general discussions I started a thread on "alliances" because I can never keep up - there was talk of a super sexy six - 666 - but that seems to have disolved already - on the show they aired the "Mrs. Robinson" Kail, Zach, Nick... (who else??? lol) so its a place to keep track of what we see...

and it is different to watch "THE WHOLE STORY" instead of what CBS decides to air!!

Well, after 5 days of moving and organizing, I think the wife and I are finally settled into our new house. We had a good battle with our washer and drier Friday afternoon, and our range and refrigerator still haven't arrived. But the rest of our furniture is in place, the kitchen is more-or-less organized, and outside of a few boxes in the garage I think we are finally done. I didn't get around to connecting the cable modem to the computer until late Sunday night, and by the time I got around to checking and responding to 127 emails (3/4 of them spam, telling me how to enhance my bank account and certain parts of my body, and who knew I had a rich relative in the Sudan who just died and needs to give his inheritance to someone), it was 10:30 and I was ready for bed. I didn't weigh in last week because my scale got lost in the shuffle. And I am dreading weighing in this week. Because of our lack of an oven or stove (or even a fridge to keep frozen meals in), I've been living off of pizza, Chinese takeout, and fast food for the past 5 days. I think I've worked off some of what I ate with all of the stairs that I've been doing while taking box after box after box to the basement. But I am anticipating a very evil looking number on Friday.

So, what did I miss?

I'm sorry about the internet! I agree about Eric! I couldn't believe how often he dropped the "f" bomb. On the show you don't see that side of him. I do think that Dick and Danielle could be a powerful alliance. I don't know if she will trust him though. I will have to check out tvclubhouse.

Geez...I haven't watched BB since the first season in the summer of '01 I think!! I am out of the loop!!!

I went to see License to Wed today. It was hillarious! I hadn't laughed that hard at a movie in quite a while.
I love the skinny minnie shirts. I'm just jealous that I won't be there. I'll be at home posting to myself. wo is me!:rotfl2:

I LOVED License to Wed! I laughed so hard I cried in the robot baby scenes! :lmao:

Lynda are going to Woodfield tomorrow???? AKV???

No Sandy. It doesn't open until the beginning of August, and I need to get that trip figured out too! I will keep you posted. I want to meet up for sure! :)

We went to Great America yesterday, and we walked a LOT, so I hope that makes up for what I ate. I wasn't THAT bad, but it was a cheat day. Had a BLAST!!! We rode, Demon, Raging Bull (my fave), Iron Wolf, American Eagle, Viper, Whizzer, Batman the ride, and Superman Ultimate Flight. I  me some roller coasters! We did the bumper cars, DH and my friend's DH did the go carts, and we saw a Marvin the Martian 3D show. My friend, who is going to WDW in about 2 weeks and has never seen a 3D show  , loved the Marvin the Martian show. I told her she is going to have to see the 3D shows at WDW. They are going to have SO much fun there! I am helping her plan out her itinerary. She just made her first ADRs today! :scared1: Well, I need to go work on my trippie. I am behind! Hope everyone is having a skinny day! :goodvibes

Hi everyone! I am back and very cofused...I tried to skim but can someone tell me exactly who is pregnant??I survived my week on the beach in a bathing suit and go back in two weeks for DS11 to play ball.Hopefully I will be a few pounds lighter.:goodvibes

Dh and i are looking into selling his car and buying another one. he's either going to take mine and get me something else or i'm going to keep mine and get him something else. i currently drive a 2002 honda cr-v and i love it. we're really struggling trying to decide on something else we both like and can afford. so i've come here for help.......what does everyone drive and do you like it/is it a good car?

by the way, does anyone want to buy or know anyone else who'd be interested in a 1997 volkswagen cabrio convertible that's in good shape (brand new top/tires) except that the air conditioning doesn't work? it would be a cute car for a college kid or something. we're asking $3,200 - we knocked off about $1,000 because of the broken air conditioning.

Love my Subaru. Very reliable and dare I say sporty? Even my uncle, the Dodge mechanic, told my cousin that Subaru's are great when she was looking for a replacement for her unreliable Jeep Liberty. Mine is a Outback (a bit on the old lady side of things, but I needed something that was decent on gas mileage (officially 28/22, but I get 31/26), I could haul stuff in, and would go in the snow and rain). The Forrester or the Legacy Sedan are much sportier/less momish... I also have friends with various ages of Honda Civics -- we are all mathy, analyst types. Research has been done. I would probably have one if we didn't live in a snow belt. Ah when I move south!

FYI -- I wouldn't buy a dodge.

Hey Peeps!!!!

I am so tired and full... went a little crazy with dinner tonight bc of the heat i didnt eat all day and then ate to much....

man thats a bad thing going back to my one meal a day thing... gotta get back on track!!!!

Dawn-I have an 04 Escape that I bought new for about $22K I think. Has 4WD. It has 75K miles on it and everything is perfect..KNOCK ON WOOD. If you were looking used I had a 98 Cav. that I also bought new and drove from 98-04 and put almost 200K on and had NOT ONE THING GO WRONG ON IT!! Those are the only two cars I have owned. DH has a Nissan Xterra that he loves but it is only 2 years old so too early too tell how it will hold up!

I have a 2003 saturn ion. I like it. It gets me places. It doesn't look like crap. But honestly, the only reason I have it (and not something else) is because it was the only thing I could afford at the time that wasn't totally horrible-looking. My mom has a 2003 Saturn Vue (can you tell we got good deals on them  ). I like that too, especially the newer models. I'd definitely look at a V6 though because hers is a V4 and can get on the loud side, especially on the highway. And it takes awhile for the AC to really cool you off (probably doesn't help that it is black).

I'm loving the new Honda CR-V's. That is on my list of cars once I get a job and some money saved up. Toyotas are usually pretty reliable too. My mom had a Camry that she bought new in 1991. And I believe it is still being used by some of my DB's in-laws! DB and family have a Honda Pilot that I love driving! Dream car for me? A Volvo SUV. Practical yet stylish. And way out of my price range...for awhile at least. (must marry rich....:rolleyes1 J/K!)

So yea I drive a 1998 Chevy Blazer......

i got it with 11 miles on thats right 1 - 1 .... brandie new

now after paying it and everything in that car under the is brand new excpet the now broken gas gage, no accidents except one minor one....

its got 275,000 miles.....

yup rub your eyes and look again i said 275,000

oh and the car has only been as far over as PA as far up as NH, VT and as south as VA... so mostly NJ and NY miles.....

deal with the hubby is I drive it till 323,000 and I can get a new SUV.....

So for my opinion CHEVY is the way to go

DH drives a 2003 EXTerra and likes it. I drive a 2004 Explorer and love it--other than the V8 engine that sucks all the gas!!

OT---A girl at my church entered this short story contest and could really use the help in the votes category. She just graduated high school -- the short story is actually pretty good. Here is the linkhttp://iwdcanada.com/shortstoryentries/ Her story is titled "The Oubliette in Time and Space".

If you have time please vote--thanks. Oh, she will be attending Rice University in the Fall.

SO....I was pretty good with the diet this weekend..considering my awesome boyfriend planned a big suprise birthday dinner with 29 of my friends ( our parents too) at my favorite italian place on Federal Hill ( if any of you know RI at all, Fed. Hill has THE BEST italian food). IT was awesome and of course, totally yummy. My actual b day is Thursday ( the big ole 30 :thumbsup2 ) so it was a nice suprise ...

How did it go? Hope you made it ok!

You made it! Congratulations! I bet the scale won't be nearly as evil as you imagine!

Dawn, I drive a Toyota Highlander and love, love, love it!! I'm impressed with Christine's tho! I always think I'm going to keep a car for over 200,000 miles but then I get ready for a new one! So far I've had this one longer than any other.

It's hot and humid here, but we we had rain! It was wonderful! It has been very dry here.
