DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 4

Hope everybody's day was as Peepalicious as mine! Hadn't seen my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins since March 4th... and few noticed a difference in me at that point (mom says it is because I wore baggy clothes). I was determined that that was not going to happen again.

Well, it didnt' happen again! Everybody made all kinds of positive comments. My aunt Loretta said that my entire demeanor has changed and that my eyes are sparkling again (as in, like when I was a teenager).

"That" picture of Jay is on my phone, so I showed it to one of my aunts and some cousins... may have a few relatives joining the gym soon! :lmao:

Anyway, I finally have some pix... the first is a reminder of December, then March, and then today... I got my hair cut Thursday, but you can't tell a lot about it because it rained today and the hair went flat of course.

I went and checked out the post and it is hard to know what the poster meant. Maybe she was trying to be witty or clever:confused3 . Other than your picture of the horse you also talke about horses with another poster so maybe she wasn't reading the whole thing. Also, Punkins answer was great!!

Ok, I had to go read the responses. I'm not sure either. I don't really even get what they meant :confused3 I'm thinking that the poster didn't mean it in a mean way because they came back and posted again, totally oblivious to any comments about her post. But still, it reads awkwardly and doesn't make much sense.
Yeah...I don't know what they were getting at. Maybe they were hoping for some horse stories or something? :confused3 Thanks for checking in and reassuring me I didn't have a meanie for a follower! :rotfl:

Dene-you look great!!! You must be proud of all the weight you have lost!! I am glad no one had any negative comments. Nice to hear they are recognizing all your hard work!!! :cheer2:

I hope everyone has a great Monday!! I woke up today thinking it was still Sunday. Don't you hate that?? I am also bummed that most of my TV shows end this week as well. Luckily all of them have been renewed though. Off to work......bye! :goodvibes

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

I hope everyone had a day as beautiful as the one we had here yesterday. I too indulged in the Sonic milkshake on the way home from the inlaws house last night. I think it is calorie free on Mother's Day.

GAYLE
....Cute new picture of Theo! He's a doll! We have a Cold Stone about 2 blocks from my house and a Graeter's 2 blocks in the other direction!

DENE
....Wow! You look fabulous! Big difference! 80 pounds and 20 years melted right off. You look very cool, hip, and happening! Love the hair. :thumbsup2

TARA
...Now I've gotta go over and check out the rude poster. I'm just glad it's not me you were talking about. I'm glad you did OK yesterday. Maybe next year you'll be celebrating Mother's Day for a whole new reason.

ARIES
....Don't be a stranger. :wave2:

SANDY....My MIL knew just how to lay the guilt on her children. My husband is one of those sensitive guys too and he loved her dearly. So sad to see wonderful men hurt by petty acts of people they truly love. Give him this for me.

EVERYBODY ELSE.... :wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY...
:flower3:

I'm working today, first time in 2 weeks - DS has a ct scan tomorrow, so I should take off and go down there - not that the doctors will read the scan - :confused3

Dene oh yeah baby!! and um, you're hair did not look flat - it looks fabulous!! I too can see you excited and those eyes, and the stance you have in that one photo where you are leaning towards the camera!! You've worked so hard, you have a peace, and sense of accomplishment!! WTG!!

Bee hope you had a wonderful day!! May you feel peace today!

 Melinda!!

Spongiemistymomma I love what your kids got you for Mother's Day!! Too precious!

DH is a rock - we do hang on to each other - could be why our marriage has lasted thru so many ups and downs... we put our relationship above all others, above friends, and families... I know his mom resented me, but when he stood up for me and demanded they apologize (they used the "f" word his sisters) well, that's just not going to happen - he left and that's where it is. I did make him go to his sisters weddings... they did invite us!! So its just weird... and I did and do give him extra hugs... maybe I should rub his feet!! :wizard:

I made some bad food choices yesterday, but probably the worst was having a diet coke at 6 p.m. I don't usually 'do" caffeine, and now I didn't get to sleep until 12:30 and woke up at 3:40. I'm praying for energy and patience to deal with my little kinder friends. I also had 2 small sugar-free margaritas. The calories weren't too bad, but the tequila let my guard down, and I ate more of the chocolate tiramisu than I should have. Leftovers are going to the staff room today (of the tiramisu, not the margaritas :rotfl: )
Aww..we need pictures!!! We went to dinner last night for our anniversary (shamless plug, 6 yrs yesterday ;)
Happy anniversary!

:flower3: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, PEEP MOMS! :flower3:

I got a big decorated envelope from my son who is in kindergarten and in it was a fill in the blanks letter for me in his sweet little kindergarten hand writing. Here's is what it says with his additions in bold....

My Mom

My Mom is the best!
She has Blue eyes and brown black hair. She weighs 150 pounds and is 34 years old. I think my Mom looks pretty when she gos to the pool. My Mom's favorite thing to do is tickl me. I love her because she is pretty. Happy Mothers Day 2007

It's a keeper! :) (...and I'm 34! Did you catch that part?)

I took dictation for the morning and afternoon kinders on their MD cards. One boy told me his mom was 7 y.o. I asked if he thought she was in first grade or second. Then he changed it to 20. Another boy told me his mom worked hard stealing stuff at the store. I asked him what he meant. He said when people want things at the store, they give her money. I wrote down "selling stuff at the store."

Still no presents here - I gave DS $80 to take DD shopping, to Hallmark, and to take her to lunch - spend the day with her I say... and they came home 4 hours later... "where did you eat lunch" "we didnt - we ran out of money" :scared1: OK kiddies, WHERE"S MY PRESENT??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Seriously, I have LOL at that, there is no way they spent that much money on me!! DS is still sleeping, I think I have to wait until after dinner to open presents...

My kids went out shopping for me at 9:30 Sat. night. I had the feeling I was going to get a pine tree air freshener for MD, thinking the only thing open was 7-11. They found a video store open, though, and bought me The Prestige. DH really came through, too. He got me a bunch of coconut lime stuff from Bath and Body Works (my favorite "flavor") and some little piggie earrings to wear when I take my class on a field trip to a farm this week.

Shannon - tell us, what music did you chose? So glad it worked out!!

I just worked in the yard for 1 1/2 hours - and you cant tell it - :rotfl2: DS trimmed/pruned the dead evergreen branches, so I had to prune it into bags that would comply with the village!!
That sounds very ominous! Do you live in an M. Night Shyamalan town?

I am so ready to tell my MIL off - in no uncertain terms!! I am mad as hell, and I'm not going to take her hurting my dh anymore!! Can you believe she turns off her phone to him? My gawd who would cut their SON out of their lives??? to see how this hurts my dh is awful, he deserves love! Do you know he cleans the kitchen, does dishes every day - 25 years + he has done dishes - that is love in my eyes. He has read to the kids every night, every night.... he used to bathe them, then read... as they get independent, he just reads... and he puts so much thought into the books he chooses for those books ( 20 years ago we learned ds #1 was hard of hearing, and we needed a "language enriched environment... well I am spoiled... and it makes me so angry that my mil is so blind to the hurt she causes this amazing, loving, sensitive man!! (17 years ago I "went off" on ds Sign language/hearing impaired school the world needs more sensitive men - why is it women cant accept sensitive men??)

OK. . . I'm sure this is an angry vent, best left on the cutting room floor ( aka delete, delete...)

 Sorry about your MIL. Give your sensitive guy an extra hug from me. DD and I are huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans, and one of our favorite quotes is from a character who's dealing with someone acting wacko: "What's your childhood trauma?" You just wonder how some people end up so damaged that they cut out the important people in their lives. DH has an ex-cousin-in-law who literally "banishes" (her word) people from her life. I wanted to say, "What are you? The flippin' evil queen from Snow White?"

Hello Peeps been MIA for awhile.
Hey, christine! Good to see you.

You look fabulous! Your eyes do look sparkly. Love the pictures of your family too. You all are lucky to have each other.

One of the things that woke me up early was an incident from yesterday. DBIL and I were standing out the front talking. He mentioned that neighbors 2 houses over have several non-running vehicles parked out front, and asked me if they were "white trash." I said yes, not because of their yard, but because of the way they treat their children/grandchildren. Everyday, they bellow at the kids things like, "Hey, stupid, shut the GD door," or "WTH did you do to my car?" The swearing and put-downs make me sick, and I even called CPS on them once, but they said if it wasn't physical abuse or neglect, there was nothing they could do. OK, to make a long story even longer, about an hour later, we were all out in the backyard, and I heard our gate opening. I thought it was just our DS, so I said, "Is that you Brendan?" He said, "Yes, and I'm here with the police. They are looking for a 'suspicious black man.'" It turns out this neighbor called the police and said we were out of town, and that he saw a "suspicious black man" go into our yard. The police were very nice, but BIL was upset. He said it's the 2nd time this week he was questioned for being black. At first, I thought the neighbor was just being dumb, not recognizing my BIL who's been part of the family for 9 years. Now, I'm wondering if our voices carried, and he called to get revenge. I'll have to let BIL know that the acoustics on our block really carry voices.

Everyone have a happy Monday, and for those who slid off the wagon yesterday, let's jog alongside for a little bit, then take a running jump back on!

i thought the second post they made was rude, too! i don't mean to stir up trouble...i really don't. but someone made a comment about tara having the gift of gab and they said something like, "i can't argue with that." it may have been meant as a joke, but i personally wouldn't say that to anyone unless i'd communicated a good bit with them before and had a certain level of comfort with them. maybe that's just me. i just think some people lack internet tact!

dene - oh my goodness! you look like a different person between the first and third picture! congrats on all your hard work!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I was going to post earlier, but I got distracted (in a good way) with Eventer's PreTR rude-poster. Hmmmm. It was just a weird post.

I am the one who said Tara has a gift of gab and I figured I could say that because of this thread:goodvibes. I didn't mean anything bad by it at all-I was trying to say that her TR was so good because she communicates well:flower3:

Time for me to go do:laundy:

Jeriber-I don't think Punkin was talking about you!! You know me andmy gift of gab so bring it on!! :thumbsup2 I am just perplaxed (fancy word eh?) as to this poster. Maybe if I ignore them they will go away!! Gosh..that sounds horrible. Oh well! But no worries on your end...you can say whatever you want! You're a Peep!! :goodvibes

Well, I can't wait to get home! I can't see pictures here at work, and I see that both Dene and Wendy posted some! I'll have to look back at those later.

OK...food was going ok today until we went to Cold Stone Creamery! For those who don't know, this is an ice cream place that takes ice cream and mixes in whatever you want, by hand, on a stone. YUM!!! :woohoo: Well, Mom's got a free med ice cream, so I had a "Coffee Lovers"...coffee ice cream, caramel, almonds & heath bar! Their med is equal to a normal large so it was LOTS of ice cream. I didn't eat it all, but still ate 2/3 of it! Now I need to do crunches and something else to work it off!!! :yay:  :dance3: (Probably not.)

Eventer...Glad to hear you went to in-laws today. i know it was hard, but I'm sure DH appreciated you going to honor his Mom today.

Off to read & go to bed! Hope you ladies has a good day!!!

OMG!!! Cold Stone! It is incredible! Cake batter ice cream there = :cloud9: ! We don't go there too often though. And only on cheat days. ;)

Happy Monday everyone! :)

I am just SO excited/anxious to leave on Thursday! I have to tell you guys that this trip is especially exciting to me because of the weight that I've lost. I have not been in the size I am now for nearly 2 years, and the last trip we took when I was at this size was with a couple of friends who, quite bluntly, acted like jerks most of the time. My outlook/attitude has changed, and I am happier now than I was then, and I am so looking forward to taking that new attitude to WDW and celebrating 5 years with DH! :woohoo: So, thanks to my peeps for keeping me on track and positive! You all ROCK!

We are a little concerned about possibly having to take a detour in southern Georgia due to the fires though. That could set us way behind schedule! :scared1:

I know I missed posting totals for Friday and Saturday, but I was good! :) And I WILL post totals today!

Hi Ladies!

Dene...You look like a whole new person! So happy!!!;) Amazing what a 'hunkytrainerdude" can do for you!!! :rotfl2:

UM....Your son & GF make a beautiful couple! I know you were very proud of them.

Tara...I haven't been on your pre-TR in awhile. Guess I need to check it out.

Melinda...The pic of Theo was taken yesterday on the front lawn before DH mowed! (Notice all the "flowers" on the lawn????) :lmao:

I have learned a lesson...do not got to Cold Stone Creamery ever again!!!!! I pointed it this morning in my WW journal and it was 22.5 pts! :scared1: I only get 24 a day! Unless I don't plan on eating anything else for the day, I have to stay away from that place! :sad2:

I'm so excited too! Are you already in vacation mode? It's all I can think about. I'm gonna be totally useless this week at school I think. I'm thinking I'm going to be for sure leaving on Thursday! Unless I have a horrible day or the weather is rainy and gross (which it could be down here). I'm going to put another post on my Pre-TR soon with a few updates.

Happy Monday everyone! I've been so bad with food since Friday! bad bad bad. I just let myself go for one day and it takes 4 days to get back on track. Then I'll be leaving for WDW and it will take me another 4 days to get back on track, then its my birthday, etc. It's a vicious cycle of me being bad, gaining, losing what I gained, gaining again, losing, etc. Very frustrating.

I am so in vacation mode! All I can seem to think about are the wildfires right now though! This could be a major setback for us. We drive right down I-75, and it's shut down for 90 miles. The detour is 180 miles on state highways. So, we are going to discuss our options tonight. It might all be fine by the time we leave, but we don't know that. We need to have a plan. We have dinner ressies Friday night, and I wanted to run into MK before we headed over to Wilderness Lodge, but we have to check into OKW first. I am concerned about time. I hope all of the Peeps are safe from these wildfires! It sounds pretty scary to me!

Hope you have safe travels Shannon, and I keep meaning to PM you! Maybe I can do that in a few minutes.

Happy monday everyone...lets all hop back on the wagon together! I think alot of us took a fall this weekend!

OMG _ COLD STONE!!! YUMMMMMMMmmmm!!!!! DS #2 gf works there - do sign up for their bday list - - free ice cream!!

I am so ready to tell my MIL off - in no uncertain terms!! I am mad as hell, and I'm not going to take her hurting my dh anymore!! Can you believe she turns off her phone to him? That she chose her daughters over her ONLY eldest son? What a witch! I try to get along with the woman, but 26 years ago she told me I'd never be welcome in the family, and talk about holding a grudge! My gawd who would cut their SON out of their lives??? to see how this hurts my dh is awful, he deserves love! Do you know he cleans the kitchen, does dishes every day - 25 years + he has done dishes - that is love in my eyes. OK. . . I'm sure this is an angry vent, best left on the cutting room floor ( aka delete, delete...)
OK, I LOVE cold stone. There are some choice there that are better than others, but none of the really yummy things are on that list!

And boo to your MIL. My DH's mother is very similar. Cant stand her. Now I just avoid her and we dont tell her when we are going to be in town unless we have to.

Thanks for the answer!!!! I  that she is called "GiGi"! For me it is short for "Grandma Gayle", but I think it is just a fun alternative to Grandma!:)
Hey, Amanda calls my grandma GG too- short for great grandmother. We figures that was WAY easier for a kid to say, and she loves being called that.:cloud9:

Hope everybody's day was as Peepalicious as mine! Hadn't seen my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins since March 4th... and few noticed a difference in me at that point (mom says it is because I wore baggy clothes). I was determined that that was not going to happen again.

It is really sad and pathetic that people still act that way in 2007. I mean, they possibly were reacting to what they think you guys said if they overheard you...but I would have said the same thing aout them for talking that way to the kids!

i thought the second post they made was rude, too! i don't mean to stir up trouble...i really don't. but someone made a comment about tara having the gift of gab and they said something like, "i can't argue with that." it may have been meant as a joke, but i personally wouldn't say that to anyone unless i'd communicated a good bit with them before and had a certain level of comfort with them. maybe that's just me. i just think some people lack internet tact!
It is hard to convey a tone online or in messages I think, but I didnt find either of the comments funny, seemed a bit rude to me too. You never joke about somebody's size...even if you think you are being witty or something.

We are a little concerned about possibly having to take a detour in southern Georgia due to the fires though. That could set us way behind schedule! :scared1:

I know I missed posting totals for Friday and Saturday, but I was good! :) And I WILL post totals today!

I can feel the excitement in that post! I cant wait to hear all about your trips to those leaving so soon. And 2 sizes smaller will make a world of difference for you on this trip. I am down one size from when we went last fall and I hope to drop 2 more by this fall...I am close to the next size already! I just know I will have a much easier trip, get less tired, better mood. Everything you said really! And congrats on 5 yrs :goodvibes
