Winkers THAT's a teeny TINY baby!! (my babies all were born 10+#, no drugs - 3 months old outta my womb!) What a precious miracle - look at those TOES!!!

SKINNY!! Man y'all rock!! (*ahem - never mind! Jealous I am ) Beautiful, beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!!

gotta luv Monty Python!

I love that scene too! I still remember going to see it in high school just after a friends funeral. A friend had died in a car accident and a group of us needed a pick me up after the funeral so we went to a movie. I was bawling and laughing so hard thru that scene I had mascara and snot running down my face, but it was the release that I needed.

ONe of my other favorites is Monty Python search for the Holy Grail..............I fart in your general direction. We use that one around here waaaayyyy too much!

Monty Python rocks! Your mother was a hampster, and your father smelled of elderberries! :rotfl:

SHE IS SO CUUUTE!!!!

DD felt the baby kick today----she thinks that is awesome and oldest DS thinks it is gross---go figure.

Getting ready for the beach--almost finished all the shopping--only have 3 more things to get---actually bought a maternity swim suit today and now I have to go buy some shorts to wear over the bottoms. I never realized how much my veins showed--I am getting spider veins majorly. Told DH that I was really self concious of them and I wanted to do laser removal--does anyone know anything about this? I hope that everyone has a safe 4th of July. I will check in again before I leave, but just in case--:smickey: :tinker: :welcome: These were the closest I could find to festive. lol

Well, I postponed posting this as long as I could, but I am up 3.5 lbs. I just can't believe I ate/drank that much more than usual, but I guess I did. I've been hitting the gym hard for the last 3 days, but I haven't seen anything come off yet.

Punkin-Sorry about the tough trial. My sister was a judge in family court in Los Angeles, and she said she sometimes had to picture Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own saying, "There's no crying in baseball!" That's the only thing that kept her from crying on the kind of cases you are talking about.

Mel Brooks movies make me laugh the most- Blazing Saddles ("Excuse me while I whip this out!") and Young Frankenstein-Madeleine Kahn made me scream w/ laughter.

On the Keira Knightley(sp?) subject: Anyone who saw POTC 3, did you notice the leg that Orlando Bloom was making out with on the island? There's no way that was Keira's leg. She must have had a body double, right?. It's nice to know the scrawny girls don't have perfect limbs anymore than the buxom ones.

We really enjoyed the movie, and the El Capitan always has props from the movies in a display. We drove past DL on the way to San Diego and again on the way back, and the kids squawked about how unfair it was to have to pass it without going in. I told them to quit complaining, that we'll be there in a couple of weeks, but I secretly wanted to go in too.

I got home to find a jury duty notice for the week DH and I go to DL w/o the kids. Thank goodness I already bought the plane tickets, so I sent the notice back asking for a deferral of one week since the tickets are nonrefundable.

I'm having a lazy Sat. since we've been on the go so much lately. DH and I are going to an SF Giants game tomorrow. I'll wear lime green, so if it's on TV, look for me.

Great Pics ladies!!!! THta baby is so wonderful to see nothing better!

Ok Melinda, I also love Sense and Sensiblity~!

Isn't it the most awesome feeling to feel the baby kick inside you? :woohoo:

So share a movie memory!!

Okay, my two favorite movies of all time are Dirty Dancing and the Goonies.
Dirty Dancing- Most memorable moment of the movie is the last dance scene when "Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner" and...........
Goonies- When they first go under the "diner" and find the bottom of the well and Mickey says his little speech about how the next time the do anything it will be in a different place and how Goonies Never Say Die.. and ends with "and that's all over the minute we ride up Troy's little bucket"
Can you tell I was an 80s child??? :cool1: <--- Like how this guy reminds me of the 7up dot!

So much gorgeousness I don't know what to say! ;)

So....
I went to the city with my sister and her sister-in-law today and tested out my pedometer. We walked 5.59 miles and I took 12,228 steps in the few hours between breakfast and lunch that we were down there. I'll post pics of me and the Naked Cowboy another time! :thumbsup2 I did alright with eating today too! I had a small blueberry muffin for bfast, a half a chicken wrap for lunch and some chicken at Chili's just now for dinner- in any case, just wanted to pop in- Happy Weekend! I am off to see Ocean's 13 (my third movie of the week! ) I'll give ya some reviews tomorrow night when I am bored!
:hippie:

i go into what i call "robot mode" during subjects that get to me where i just take down while thinking about other things. you kinda learn how to do that after so long. but then when i'm at home in my office by myself typing it, there's no reason to hold back and i just usually break down and cry like a baby.

about kiera knightley's leg, i thought the same thing! it was too meaty to be hers!!! when she was wearing the pirate outfit after she was made captain and she had that corset-looking thing on, her waist was just plain GROSS!!! it looked like she was malnourished or something! (really i'm just secretly jealous that she got to kiss johnny AND orlando. i wonder if her bottom teeth scratched them when they did the kissing scenes? :lmao: )

I'll post pics of me and the Naked Cowboy another time! :thumbsup2

:eek: please elaborate! popcorn::

here's the one from steel magnolias i was talking about...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--TyGPSnegE

I love Steel Magnolias! It makes me want to move to the South (which sounds funny considering I live pretty far South, but it's not really the South)

I don't really have favorite movie moments that I can think of off the top of my head. I am in the middle of watching Return to Me...such a sweet movie. I DVRed it the other day since there is nothing on TV anymore. Or it seems that way.

You guys all look great! What fun!

And your niece is adorable! I miss having babies around. My niece is 6 going on 16 and my nephew is growing up just as fast. The next baby I get super close with will probably be mine  .

I hope that everyone has a safe 4th of July. I will check in again before I leave, but just in case--:smickey: :tinker: :welcome: These were the closest I could find to festive. lol

Happy 4th of July! Hope you have a great time!

Hope you all had a great Saturday...I had a pretty leisurely day. DB and family returned from their 2 week vacation last Wednesday so they came over to hang out. Had lunch and they showed us their pics. It was nice to see them. I was going to go out for a couple drinks with 2 girls from school. They've been asking me to join them for a couple weeks now and they called me yesterday to see if I'd be interested. I definitely was at the time and even started getting ready tonight but then I just was not in the mood anymore so I took a raincheck. Some other time.

I weighed myself this morning and despite being completely off the wagon since May, I haven't gained anything. I've been weighing myself on and off when I think of it. And sometimes its a pound less or a pound more or the same. So I don't think thats too bad. Must be all that running around camp pulling climbing kids off cabinets and chairs

Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

DD felt the baby kick today----she thinks that is awesome and oldest DS thinks it is gross---go figure.

. lol

Feeling the baby move was my favorite part of being pregnant!

I just remembered another fav movie moment, Dead Poets society, when in support of their teacher they all start standing on their desks, something is said but I don't remember what, but that scene gives me chills. And another one is in the Fisher King and Robin Williams plays a homeless man who see's things and he's talking about these little fairies who came to him while he was having "one of those mystic poops". I still use that line occasionaly.

Isn't it the most awesome feeling to feel the baby kick inside you? :woohoo:
There is nothing like--I have felt the baby since week 18, but it was only recently when the kids could tell as well.

Oh My Gosh!!! You are my long lost twin. DH has always picked on me b/c these are my all time fav. movies. I just love them. THe baby in the corner is the best line from Dirty Dancing. I love the line from Goonies--Troy was such a jerk. My DS's favorite part of Goonies is when Chunk goes to Mikey's house and Mouth won't let him in without doing the Truffle Shuffle---all you hear at the end is his gut!! I guess a 10-12 year old boy would find that funny. My DH did not even know what Goonies was until I made him watch it.

Okay... so I have some new pix. Just a reminder 1st.

Dene - you look freakin' fabulous! :cool1:

And yay for Shadow! He is a cutie. And he's lucky to have such a great mommy.

Dene - I made an exclaimation - and dd ran to the computer - "what' (and yes, she saw my tears of joy in my eye) to see what I was exclaiming about!! and of course I showed her your pictures!! AWESOME!!

gotta go back - dh and I are sharing!! :)

Dene!!! Oh my heck!!! You look absolutely stunning! :cool1: You really are an inspiration!:cheer2:

HAPPY FIRST OF JULY! :sunny:

Can you believe the summer is half-ish over already? Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

WINKERS
....Thanks for the Utah pictures. You ladies all look great! And that sweet little baby...what a blessing. She is a doll!

PUNKIN....I loved the scene from Steel Magnolias! We saw the play several years befor the movie and the movie is definitely just as good! RE: Viggo....I totally agree! H-O-T! He trumps Johnny Depp any day in my book.

SANDY
...Love Moonstruck! Rented it and watched it with DD not too long ago. Did you color your hair?

MEL....A day in the city!?! *sigh* Sounds wonderful!
I never realized how much my veins showed--I am getting spider veins majorly.
My legs are covered with spider veins from 6 years of waiting tables. Let me know how it goes if you get the laser thingy.
I got home to find a jury duty notice for the week DH and I go to DL w/o the kids.
I got one last year that was during our trip to Disney. They gave me a deferal and then lost my name! The lady at the court house said something like...don't worry about it and count your blessings!
Ok Melinda, I also love Sense and Sensiblity~!
Me too, me too!!! I rented that about 2 weeks ago and loved it just as much. I also love Emma with Gwenyth Paltrow and Shakespeare in Love. If you haven't seen Nicholas Nickleby that one is great too. There's also a very good version of David Copperfield with Daniel (can't think of his last name) that plays Harry Potter in the lead role. (I got this one at the public library.) Make DS watch it with you and then you can threaten to send him to the blacking factory if he acts up!

Another movie that DD13 and I have watched many times is Ella Enchanted. It's a fairy tale about a girl who, when she is born, is given a "gift" of obediance by her fairy godmother. Unfortunately, she must do whatever she is told and she tells no one about the "gift" which could be disastrous. She sets out on a quest to find the fairy godmother and get her to take the "gift" back. This is a scene from the land of giants where Ella is told to sing and of course she has to obey.
I weighed myself this morning and despite being completely off the wagon since May, I haven't gained anything.
:yay: :yay: :yay: The good habits are hanging on! Good for you!

I am speechless....without words. What a metamorphasis!!! That 100 pounds took 20 years off of you Dene! You now look cool, hip, and confident. Isn't it strange that you've lost almost a whole "Shadow"? He's adorable. Thank you, thank you for sharin those pictures with us!!!

HAVE A GREAT CANADA DAY EVERYONE!
