That's why I don't practice criminal or family law...too, too sad.

Ok I was just thinking about this and it makes me laugh so I'll share with all of you. When we were at EPCOT on Saturday we were in China at a kiosk where they sell different flavors of frozen tea. Kind of like icetea slushies, some flavors have alcohol and some don't. SO we were waiting in line to order and the lady ahead of us asked , I kid you not..."Is the frozen tea cold?" When the lady working at the kiosk said "Yes it's frozen" the customer said "well never mind I don't want it then". She left and my DDs and I and the lady at the kiosk just couldn't stop laughing!

:rotfl2: i actually once had an attorney ask someone, "your relationship with john occurred before he died, correct?" ya think???? sometimes i don't know how some people made it through law school!

punkin! watch the numa numa guy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60og9gwKh1o

he makes me happy

:rotfl: i love the numa numa guy! the raised eyebrow is my favorite part!

someone make me laugh......i'm typing a child molestation trial and the little girls (twins) just got finished testifying. i need to be distracted.....and to laugh......please! this is the part of my job that i detest.

Punkin, Uggg! I couldn't do it, but thank heavens there are people like you who do, just think you're helping these kids out! Ok, onto a funny.............

About a month ago I was at an activity with about 15 girls ages 12 to 18 from church. The girls were in the back yard playing with a huge tractor tire. 5 girls were inside the tire while several others were rolling them around. Amidst all the screams and giggling all of a sudden some one yelled "ooh, gross I just got all wet!" It turned into a giant salad spinner only it was spinning pee!!!! One of the girls laughed so hard she peed her pants and then in all the rolling it got all over the others! Luckily the girls were pretty good sports about the whole thing and we just hosed them off outside before their parents came to pick them up. One girls hair was literally soaked so this wasn't a little bit of an oops! It was a full on deluge!:lmao:

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

It's gloomy here today and I was so hoping to go to the pool. I guess it's for the best as my house is a wreck. These kids really do a number on it when I'm at work all week.

I am taking a day of vacation on Tuesday since Monday is my day off and Wednesday is a holiday. NO WORK til next Thursday! :yay:
I was born in 1983-
Mel...I am officially old enough to be your mama. I'm sure Sandy was thinking the same thing. I agree that parents should make intentional efforts to get kids moving! Some kids are just more likely to be the kind that sit there and play video games all day and those kids should have boundaries!
i'm *so* back on the wagon after this weekend.......even for the 4th of july!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's my email from Hungry Girl re: the fourth.
I'm back Peeps!
I'm so glad you're OK and you didn't have any ill effects from the procedure! Back to the Prilosec huh? Was it working?
someone make me laugh.....
 Hope you got some laughs last night.

Have a great day, everyone!

Movies - (we've done this before, but I anticipate a slower board so...)

In honor of Punkin's request the first thing that popped into my head was Moonstruck with Cher... which is one of my favorite movies, I love how she gets a makeover and the RED shoe scene but in the end her grandfather sitting around the table... "someone tell a joke"... :rotfl: (and I love when Cher slaps Nick when he claims he loves her, "snap outta it") "alla familia" (and this is the only movie I ever quote!)

We rented Return of the Pink Panther, Herbie in Monte Carlo, and one more from the library....

So share a movie memory!!

wooooooo hooooty on not working til thursday!!!! LUCKY!!! ;) and yes, i did get some laughs last night and got my mind off things. but i'm getting ready to start working on the transcript again today. i just want to get it over with!

So share a movie memory!!

my favorite movie of all time is steel magnolias. my favorite scene is at shelby's funeral when malynn is breaking down in tears and says she wants to hit someone til they feel as bad as her and clairee pushes weezer towards her and says, "hit this! go ahead, malynn, slap her!" then weezer says, "are you high, clairee?" i just crack up and it's even funnier because you're crying about shelby dying and then that happens. then clairee says, "you just missed the change of a lifetime...half of chiquapin parish'll give their eye-teeth to take a whack o' weezer!" I JUST LOVE FUNNY SOUTHERN WOMEN!!!! :rotfl: also, another one of my favorite quotes of the movie by annelle is when she says, "miss truvy, i promise that my personal tragedy will not interfere with my ability to do good hair." :goodvibes

Yeah, it was gloomy here yesterday! Lovely weather! NOT! :)

Punkin I LOVE that scene! My mom was friends with 4 women from grade school, so that is a hard movie to watch - but that scene is perfect!(and I love my southern heritage!! I feel like Paula Deen is my "aunt" reincarnated!)

Melinda as much as I'm addicted to Regency romance novels, you'd think I'dve read or scened Pride and Prejudice (wasnt it even referenced in Little Women?) bad educator, bad bad!!

Who colors their own hair? I do! But I'm now worried I have a "color buildup" and so I priced a salon $100??? :scared1: I do it for about $5 (I economize for Disney!! ;) ) They said they'd do a 2 step process, but I"m thinkin that's just Hoooeee... one lady did say she'd color the top with a 10 developer and the ends with a 20 - but I have such dark ends and grey lady - a 10 aint gonna cut it - PLUS your ends are all over your scalp, not just the top of the head - right? (now you see why I do it myself!! I cut dd hair last night, and she proclaimed that I should go into business!! It was exactly the way she wanted it! )

You all know I love Pride & Prejudice.

Here's my favorite scene.

Enjoy.

oh, the romance! good scene. although i just can't get over how kiera knightley always looks like she's smelling something awful....:lmao:

and what a good idea, using you tube to play our favorite scenes......

here's the one from steel magnolias i was talking about...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--TyGPSnegE

this is also one of my favorites. i was weeping in the theater during the scene and i just wanted to stand up and clap during his speech....not to mention that viggo mortensen as aragon is just H-O-T!!!

Wendy is my color advisor since she used to do that professionally.

Wait til her internet is fixed and ask her. :)

Couldnt find my Moonstruck scene!! You'd think other people that loved red shoes would've uploaded that scene!! LOL

I'm too impatient to wait Melinda! I'm probably just going to wing it!! I have to look red for the 4th!! :)

I'm so glad you're OK and you didn't have any ill effects from the procedure! Back to the Prilosec huh? Was it working?

Yeah, back to the Prilosec, at least for now. It was working. I just hate to treat only the symptom, if I could be treating whatever is causing it. That's why I want to talk to my doctor about it.

I love that scene too! I still remember going to see it in high school just after a friends funeral. A friend had died in a car accident and a group of us needed a pick me up after the funeral so we went to a movie. I was bawling and laughing so hard thru that scene I had mascara and snot running down my face, but it was the release that I needed.

ONe of my other favorites is Monty Python search for the Holy Grail..............I fart in your general direction. We use that one around here waaaayyyy too much!
