I'm also trying to cut WAY back on caffeine. Thus far I've only been mildly pissy :mad: . I have just enough to wake up in the morning and ONLY when I get "the headache". Now, the headache is a withdrawl symptom! As in DRUG withdrawl. As in I feel like I'm no different than a drug user. I usually need to take something to get to sleep, then I wake up groggy. I'm doing this because I literally drink caffeine all day and then cant sleep at night. It's been a few days. Cherry water is a huge help! I swear, I can easily down a gallon of it!

You just described me...:eek:

Where do I get the cherry H2O?

My goal this week is to write down everything I eat. We're going to Monterey Thursday and Friday, and there's a definite urge to say, "What the heck, we're on vacation." I really want my 10 lb. ribbon though, so I'll hang in there.
I have always wanted to go to Monterey. You are lucky to live so close. Have fun! I wish I had known your sister was on Jeopardy! I LOVE Jeopardy and would like to have watched!

This week will be tough for me with rehearsal dinner Thurs and wedding Friday. I did ok today...had 6 pieces of small, homemade chocolate but now it's gone! I had DF take the rest of Easter cookies to work. I would be ok with staying the same honestly..I might have to weigh in a day early. I don't think I will have time to on Friday!! ;)


Yeah, I think your weight will be the least of your worries... Can we get some wedding pics, please?? Congratulations, by the way!
 
my goals are to actually go to the gym at all!!!! i'm usually really good about working out because i love it, but i'm doing a jury trial this week for a really big case and we're going late every night, so i doubt i'll be able to make it to the gym, but i'm gonna try!!!

do you mind me asking what kind of tricep exercises you're doing? i love tricep workouts - they burn so good! by the way, i won't be able to respond until tomorrow night (when i get home from court) b/c i'm going to bed now, so don't feel like i'm ignoring you! :)

I'm gonna try hard to explain this... I don't know the formal names of the equipment, but it's at a weight bench, and you set your weight, then use those rope thingys, to pull down, straight down. Keep your elbows glued to your side. When you have the rope pulled down (one side of the rope goes in each hand), then slightly turn your hands/wrists outward.

You can also do pushups, but instead of having your hands placed forward, like this: | |, put them at outward angles, like this \ /, and tuck your elbows in to your rib cage. I still can't do those.

Did I make that clear as mud??:confused3
 

I dont have enough time to read through all the posts just now. I am sooooo wicked jealous of you guys that are going to the Peep meet! I wanna go waaaaaa. But since we are going on Friday for 10 days and DD starts college in Sept I dont really think that is going to fly w/DH. DD is going again in Nov for Super Soap but I am not going this time. Maybe I could do a weekend but I wont hold my breath.

Journaling your food is a great way to lose/maintain weight!! Great goal!

we do tricep pushups in EVERY SINGLE CLASS i take and i hate them and love them at the same time. i couldn't do them at first either but now i'm getting pretty good at them. we usually work with free weights and so we get one heavier weight and hold it above your head with your arm right next to your face and drop it behind your head and back up again. we also use a bar sometimes and do skull crushers, which is where you're laying down and you drop the bar towards the your head while keeping your elbows about 6 inches apart. it looks like the bar will hit your head - that's why they're called skull crushers.

i'm off to court. we STILL haven't picked a jury in my trial, but hopefully we will today. it's taking FOREVER!!!!!

Today was a fabulous day! No school... a bad weather day we didn't have to use.

Went to 3 morning classes at the gym (cardio/yoga/cardio)... was there from 8am-12pm. Went back at 2:45 to play racquetball... had a 4 pm meeting with hunky trainer dude... got "annoyed" 'cuz all these people were hanging out "with us" (it was supposed to be Dene' & Jay time and annoyed is the nice word, not what I really felt :rotfl:). But it worked out... 'cuz afterwards 4 (then 5) of us went into the small yoga room and I lead everybody through some yoga stretching. I was impressive :cool2: ... apparently, I'm pretty darn limber and I can now do some of those cool balance poses where you stand on one leg while holding your foot that's up in the air by your head... never did that before!

So, we have the little private "cool kids yoga class" for an hour, then we're sitting out front and I........... asked him for a picture! I made sure he knew he had to look "hot" and "ripped":rolleyes1 . He said he'll probably be "ready" for that picture in a couple of weeks (he's waiting for the peak of ripness). I told him I'd been talking about him (giving him credit for helping me) and that folks wanted to see what he looked like. I even told him I refer to him as "hunky trainer dude" and mentioned how y'all were trying to help me and about the suggestion to say I wanted to eat chocolate off his abs (not 100% sure he heard that :laughing:).

So, you'll be "seeing" Jay in a couple of weeks!:woohoo:

And not only that, he put my phone number in his phone so he could "text" me with his words of wisdom and inspiration!!!!:woohoo:

Am I acting like I'm 16? You betcha... and it's the most fun I've had in YEARS!

WHOOHOOTY! I cant believe you told him you call him hunky trainer dude :rotfl: I cant wait to see him though, so I am glad you did it! I may have to come train in your neck of the woods if he is that hot!

Just a fly by post this morning. I promise to check in later if the baby I am watching naps today. Off to 'work'...more laundry today I am sure.

I was not around earlier tonight because I was back up at the hospital with my Grandma who was doing poorly. I did a quick skim of the evening's posts, though, to help raise my spirits before I go to bed.

I am glad you are in for the Peep Meet but sad to hear bout your grandma. Mine has been in a nursing home for almost 4 years (she's 94) and has severe dimentia. My dad will get a call that she isn't doing well..we think it's the end but then she hangs in there. It's tough. I don't go as much as I should b/c I want to remember her the way she was. Not a nice thing to go through. :sad1:

OMG,my sister calls hers that too :rotfl2: My DD likes to grab it and call it her "hanging stuff" when she is wearing a sleevelss shirt. OUCH!

That is just how it was with my grandma! I know exactly what you mean about wanting to remember her the way she was. I did see a lot of her towards the end though. But not as much as my mom had to. I like to think back to when I was a kid and would spend my days at her house in the summer. :goodvibes

Thanks Aries, but between my Birnbaum's guides, PassPorters, & previous DDP papers, I probably have this information covered sufficently in my household. :lmao: Although, DH said they changed some of the restaurants that were signature to regular table service! :thumbsup2
 
I actually have it too Aries, but thanks for the offer to share! I made pocket sized day by day itineraries for our last trip and pocket sized restaurant guides :blush: I tend to over plan things a bit.
 
I over plan too!! I have a small notebook where I write down each day's parks and ADRs. Planning is half the fun!!! :goodvibes
 
Me too, but I have the PassPorter here. And this year I got the deluxe edition, which is looseleaf, so I can take each day's page/pocket with us! I am a supreme dork for organizational stuff! Especially when it pertains to Disney. ;)
 
Hello all,

I just came across this tread today and would LOVE to join it. Last June my husband told me that if I got to goal weight by the time we went back to Disney (December 07), he would pay for me to got to Discovery cove. (I love dolphins) so I started Weight Watchers and riding my bike. Off came 25 pounds by Thanksgiving, then I kinda got side tracked and have put 5 of those pounds back on. :sad1: Now last week I just recommited myself again with the meetings and I joined curves (in October) and have been going 5 times a week.
I would love some support from people that are in the same boat as myself. Thanks
