:sad1:

Sparkie is a no can do for Sept or Jan.

I am taking 6 adults (one 11 year old adult) in July for 11 days with 10 day passes and dining. So $ is tight. I have been saving since October for this trip- almost paid off

I thought about a solo trip or a trip with me and the girls (11 and 16). We have also been thinking about spending Christmas in Pigeon Forge. My kids have never been to the Smokies and we are only about 4-5 hrs away. So we put it to a family vote and a Smokey Mountain Christmas it is.

Hope everyone has fun and maybe I can meet up with you all next year!

Sorry to hear that, but Christmas in Pigeon Forge sounds great! My DS has gone up there in Feb. for a church retreat and it has snowed on them for the past two February's. It is really cool for us who don't see snow. ;) We'll miss you in Jan.

Allie is looking for a roomie for Jan. Any takers??

Heather - I hope the stomach bug is gone soon. I know that has to be rough since it went through the whole family.

Misty11 (I added the 11 part because we have another Misty - Hi Spongie:wave2: )- WELCOME!!!! You have come to the right place! This is a very supportive group! :grouphug:

I will definetly have to see if the store has them tonight. I like those Betty Crocker cake bowls but they have 10g. of fat in them. There is a Super Walmart by me but I hate Walmart..I won't go. Sorry Peeps that love it!! There are like 5 of them in a ten mile radius of me and it makes me sick. I will step off the soapbox now......:rotfl:

I hope that you can find them. I still can't find the Krusteaz (sp?) fat free brownie mix. I really want to make those pooh: muffins.:)

They didn't have them  I like the Krustez blueberry muffins..they are yummy!!! :goodvibes

I am sorry!:sad2: I will keep an eye out at places other than Walmart and I will let you know if I see them. I have had the muffins. They are good!:thumbsup2 Is anyone watching American Idol?

Are you doing Dollywood? I saw the special on the travel channel with all the Christmas stuff and it looked so beautiful. We can buddy up online while the others are meeting.

I used the No Pudge fat-free Brownie mix. It worked great. Here's a link w/state-by-state info on what stores carry it. http://www.nopudge.com/common/where2buy.html
I didn't know what state you were in I'm in a state of confusion; old DL joke!)

Thanks to everyone who said cool about my sister. (I saw your edit line, Allie). I think my sis is pretty awesome. If any of you come for a CA meet ever, I'll bring her along. Then you can say you met a celebrity :rotfl: .

I am so proud of you for putting on your cajones and stepping up to the challenge! Way to step out of your comfort zone !! YOU ROCK:banana:

Hello all,

I just came across this tread today and would LOVE to join it. Last June my husband told me that if I got to goal weight by the time we went back to Disney (December 07), he would pay for me to got to Discovery cove. (I love dolphins) so I started Weight Watchers and riding my bike. Off came 25 pounds by Thanksgiving, then I kinda got side tracked and have put 5 of those pounds back on. :sad1: Now last week I just recommited myself again with the meetings and I joined curves (in October) and have been going 5 times a week.
I would love some support from people that are in the same boat as myself. Thanks
Misty

20 down, 30 left to swim with dolphins, 30 more after that to be at a goal size:)

welcome! (i'm too lazy to look up the cute sparkly welcome smilie!) this is a great place, but this thread moves really fast, especially lately!

My sister was on Jeopardy tonight. she came in 2nd. It was very exciting for us.

that's so cool! DH tried out for jeopardy once and made it through the first round, but never got a call back from the second round. he's a retains plutheras of useless knowledge!!!

I just got done watching...SanPukey was ok. Better the usual. I think he is safe. I predict Phil goes. He annoys me when he wears those berret hats :headache: I sure do love my Blake!!!

Time to go watch my other love (or as DF calls him..the worst over-actor on TV!) My avatar will explain it all....

okay....so i need some good peep vibes for tomorrow! i'm not asking for prayers necessarily because it's nothing dire - just something that's on my mind.

see, for those of you who don't know, i'm a court reporter. back in august there was a shooting at my courthouse in the little town of jefferson, georgia. very scary. i was there that day and it was quite an experience. basically, in a nutshell, a deputy was in the basement with four inmates getting ready to transport them back to the jail after their court appearance. well, one inmate got the deputy's gun and shot him, then hopped in the transport van and tried to escape. two other deputies were waiting outside the sally port (the garage that the van parks in) and they shot the inmate through the front windshield. the inmate died. the deputy was life-flighted to a hospital in atlanta and he's doing fine now.

right now we're having a trial in this case. the three defendants are the three other inmates that were in the basement when it happened and are accused of planning this escape with the inmate who is now dead. the reason i'm asking for your thoughts is because the deputy who was shot, who is a very sweet, nice, great guy, by the way, is the first witness tomorrow. i'm going to have a very hard time sitting through his testimony. i had a hard time today listening to the opening statements about what happened that day. it's just an emotional case because it's a person you work with every day that got hurt. i have no idea if the defendants were involved and i hope they weren't. but that's not my place to decide. it's just going to be a tough morning, i know it. i will have to go into "robot court reporter mode" and just kind of take down the testimony without really listening to it.

anyway, i'm rambling. just send some good vibes my way and keep me in your thoughts. thanks, guys! ;)

by the way, this trial is totally messing up my workout schedule!!!

So...5 months 2 weeks....I gotta lose a little weight!

THIS meet is like the HUGEST motivation for me!

Time to go watch my other love (or as DF calls him..the worst over-actor on TV!) My avatar will explain it all....

i'm sorry, eventer, but i have to agree with your DF! he's the reason i CANNOT watch CSI miami. i can't stand him! enjoy your show, though!!! :)

It wasn't until this winter at my bridal shower that I finally found the FIRST person ever to also have a crush on D.C!! It was my cousin BTW  All of my friends say he is horrible and give me grief but there is just something about him!! There was one episode a few weeks back where a body fell on an ice sculpture. The coroner said the body was cold and DC says, "Yes..cold as ice." :lmao: You gotta love it!!!

Sending well wishes for you to get through the day tomorrow...are you the person that types on that little typewriter or is that a stenographer?? :confused3

 My thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow. I hope that everything goes well and you are able to tune out as much as you can (and still be able to do your job). I'm sure that it dosen't help that your workout schdeule has been affected by this too. But, :cheer2: to you for staying strong and not letting the stress of it cause you to eat unhealthy.

Here are some good vibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes !

:woohoo: Me too! I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it! (I know that was bad. :sad2: But oh well! Child of the 80's here! )

i do voice writing. what you're talking about is machine writing. we are all court reporters - we just have different methods of taking things down. machine writers use a keyboard that's basically shorthand. i have a mask that has a microphone inside of it. i repeat everything that's said in the courtroom while making notes on my laptop and it's all recorded to a track on my hard drive. voice writing is becoming more popular because it's easier to learn. we have 5 court reporters with our firm and 4 of us are voice writers. but both methods are VERY hard to learn and i respect any court reporter, no matter what their method is! it's really confusing to everybody but us....basically, i mock people for a living.
