Hi all, long day house hunting here. We found a few that made the short list and lots that didn't. We did find a website that has lots of listings that sound promising. There are a couple that have pix of the inside and they are adorable. The price is right too! The only downside is her lease isn't up until the end of May and these houses are available now. Hopefully, either she can work something out with either the apartment or the management company for the houses she's looking at. Prayer is working! We went from nearly no prospects to a short list and an apartment as a poss backup if dhe can't find a house when she needs one.
Congrats to teh new Aunties and prayers being sent to Jo's DNephew.
Absolutely, Jo! You know my DS was put into NICU when he was born as a precaution and I've never been so scared in my life! They do take a lot of precautions with the little ones but I'm sure he'll be fine. What did he weigh?
DD2 spent her first night in the NICU too. My mom and Grandma were in the room when theDr came in to tel us what was going on and my grandma started crying. One of my cousin's died as an infant and she was afraid it was going to happen again.
Sending prayers now. This morning at church we had a baby dedication. THe baby just turned 1 year and here is the miracle--she was born at 24 weeks. She weighed 1 lb 4 oz when she was born and now weighs a whopping 11 lbs. She is hitting all her milestones and doing great.
How wonderful. I have another internet friend who gave birth 3 wks ago to twins at 23wks 3days. Her darling little girl could oly hang on for 30 mins but her little boy is a fighter and the last update I saw said he was impressing the doctors. It's encouraging to know there are more miracle babies that are thriving.
Okay, I think my DD3 is the strangest child on earth. She was jump up and down excited this morning when she discovered her Mimi(harley) had bought the Snow White dress for her.She wanted me to take a picture of her in it then precedes to
scream her wild hysterical scream until we got it off of her. Then she sobs because she wants to put it on but she "just can't".
My oldest went through something similar at the same age. She was bothered by 'scratchy' fabric and couldn't eat food that was hot. It had to be room temp or she would howl. She eventually out grew it though, thankfully. I did read about a disorder that makes kids super sensitive to sensations. Touch and food temp or texture were the most common. Hopefully your little one will outgrow this as well.
Eeyore~ Have fun with your DD.
WI~ Great news on the house, hopefully the 3 mos will fly by. There's always romantic rendevous at a nearby hotel to keep you connected.
AnnNan~ Congrats on the weight loss. I too am ready for another trip. I guess I'm homesick; sick of being home that is. I think you summed up the popularity of support threads on message boards quite well. It's a way to make friends and spend time with them on your own schedule annd when it works for you.
Pigget~ 12 wks and still able to wear skinny shorts, you rock!
My sis called while I was typing, she got a call from one of the properties she was looking at online. The lady was really nice and excited to meet her. The owner lives just a few minutes away in the same neighborhood and loves it there. They are meeting in the morning. It sounds promising.
Have a great night Peeps!
