Oh, and I'm so jealous of your walking scenery. I want to visit your side of the atlantic one day. I would love to see the castles and the stately home of Henry VIII. WOW! My daughter (the 10 yo brainy one) did a Medieval time period study with her gifted class last year. They studied the social classes, politics, history, castle design and defense systems, clothing, medicine, arts, and so much more- we just love it. This year it is the renisassance(sp?). She had to do a monologue about Grace O'Maley. -a pirate of sorts I believe. Any way - lots of fun and we would really like to visit your part of the world one day:)

Has Aldisney been around? I usually quote her too...

Hi! I'm right here! :wave2: I'm trying to read along, but not having much time for posting.

We went to Franklin, TN on Saturday. It was just a trip up, have lunch, and come back. It was a delayed celebration for my MIL's 70th birthday. There were 25 of us there! :scared1: It was an extended family celebration. It was a lot of fun, but made for an exhausting day.

Then Sunday, DD had softball practice out in 88 degree weather. :scared: (this is us sweating) She kept complaining about being in the middle of the "Sahara desert". :rotfl2: :rotfl:

School starts back this week, and there is a lot going on there. Got to get those 140 flower pots painted. We are also making Boo-Boo bunnies for all the kids for Easter, so they need eyeballs, ribbons, and tails. We still have about 50 washcloths that have to be rolled and made into bunnies. :sad2:

On top of that, my DS is involved with the youth this week. They are putting on a dinner for the Young at Heart (anyone over 50) at our church on Saturday. It has an Italian theme. They have to paint a Venice street scene for one wall, and then the Roman Coliseum for another wall, and then build the Leaning Tower of Pisa. All of this has to be done by Saturday! :scared1:

Yes, I am mildly freaking out down here in HOT Alabama. If this is what Spring is going to be like, I sure don't want to see Summer. :sad2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Well, I am off to the store because I have to work tomorrow, so I have to get all my housework done today. FOU (Freak Out Update) My coworker just called and she got a full time job. I am so excited for her because she needs it, but she starts her new job on April 2nd! :scared1: That is NEXT MONDAY!!! Now I will be the ONLY 4 year old helper for the rest of the year. My coworker is very young and newly married, and really needs this new job. She and her DH close on their new house on Friday, and she starts her new job on Monday. :cool1: She just called and asked me to be a reference for her security clearance. I am honored. Just keep me in your prayers because I am gonna be working my bum off for the next couple of months.

I'll try to check in, but since DS has to be at the church every night this week, and DD has softball tonight, tomorrow, Thursday and a game on Saturday (same day as the banquet- mind you), I just don't know how much.

Please don't forget about me though. Know that I am still here a lurkin'.

Oh, and Aries, I'm still on that never received a surprise thingy list.

Shows what I know BIL just phoned and Oliver is in NICU, they took him away for tests for 4 hours last night and is on a drip mainly as he's dehydrated but he has just drunk his first bottle (he will not breast feed yet) so that's all good! Thanks for the info Sparkie.

First off, Congratulations Auntie JO!!! Also, sending AL prayers across the Atlantic for baby Oliver. Here's a hug for you too.

Well, I spent yesterday on the couch sick! I don't know if it was something I ate or a touch of the flu. I had a sharp pain in the middle of my stomach on & off all day and was physically sick twice. I slept alot yesterday and luckily feel better today! However, all I had yesterday was ginger ale. That is what I am drinking this morning instead of my coffee. I don't know what I should eat, if anything. Toast? Crackers? Soup? I think I will go to work today, but I know I'll be in the bathroom alot as it's hitting the other way now. Guess I'll show a loss this week! ;)

Hope you feel better soon!

Glad to hear Oliver's test results came back OK! :)

I posted a new installment to my TR late last night, for anyone who's interested. I am down to a day and a half left, and I think I might have just caught up with Monica on hers! (We were there at the same time for those who didn't know that.)

DH and I got some stepping stones yesterday to put down at the bottom of our deck stairs in the back yard. It is total mush there from us walking Jasper out to her "spot" and the ground being so wet. That is a huge improvement. I actually got to step on something solid when I let her out this morning!

And my new 2007 DELUXE edition Passporter came in at Borders, so we took my regular version (a Christmas present) & exchanged it. Now I am ready to fill it up with our plans for the upcoming trip! :woohoo:

I also did pretty well on cheat day until DH made cookies with the cookie dough he brought home from Papa Murphy's! I am such a sucker for fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! I ate too many. :sad2: But I did have sushi for lunch and grilled tuna steak for dinner, so hopefully that helped make up for it. Oh, and I walked Jasper for about 35 minutes too!

HI everyone!! I need a head count on the surprise thingy of who didnt get so I make sure I have enough this time!!

SSSShhhh Rumor has it the Free dinnig is going to be offered for AUGUST 28- SEPT 30, when booked between April 12 thru MAY 26. SSSShhhhhhh:banana:

Thanks Melinda I'm sure he will be fine I had a scare with both mine but they were quickly resolved. He weighed in at 8lb 5oz so a nice healthy weight, he is pretty long though and has huge feet! Takes after my DSis  here's a few piccies!

What a cutie! I know how scary it is to have a sick newborn. My first spent his first 2 weeks in the NICU. It was one of the hardest things I've ever gone thru, but now he's a 13yr old football player! My prayers are with you and your family.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! I am doing better today, but barely eating....is that a good thing?!? :lmao:

I found it this morning and was excited to see it! Thanks! (I've already commented on it too!)

We ended up putting in a patio at the bottom of our steps from the deck to the steps to the screened in porch for the same reason! It was too muddy when letting the dogs out! :goodvibes It's always nice stepping on solid ground!!!

I am looking for a book for my planning. My friend has the Birnbaums one and I am looking at the "Unofficial Guide". Not sure if "Passporters" would be too much or not! :confused3 I really should decide soon, as my trip is coming up fast!

Yeah...fresh chocolate chip cookies are my down-fall too! Hope you enjoyed every bite! :)

Guess you can't just comment IN someone else's quote! It wouldn't let me post...said it was too short! Go figure! :confused3

We have Birnbaum's guides too! I love them! I can't go without my Birnbaum's. I just recently got hooked on PassPorter too. It really helps with the TR. It has places for notes for every day. And pockets for receipts, which also help me remember what we did that day. So, I use both of those guides.

Thanks! I did enjoy them. Papa Murphy's makes a good cookie dough! I kind of stuffed the last one in though. I was pushing it at that point. Should have stopped a cookie or two earlier. I left one on the plate though! :rotfl:

Jo-

Sounds like Oliver is improving. Sometimes when babies are dehydrated or their blood sugar gets low they lose the urge to eat. Seems like it would be the other way around doesnt it. I know when my blood sugar is low I want to eat but babies lose that sensation. So the fluids that they are giving him will perk him up- looks like it already since he bottlefed successfully. Alot of our NICU moms pump their milk and have it given to their babies until they can put the baby to breast. I dont know if this is an option for your sis. But even if they cant give the milk to the baby now it would help get her supply established then she will be ready when he is. Hang in there- I know this must be scary for your family.

Oooo....Gayle, I hope you're feeling better. Keep it to dry toast, cereal, rice, bananas, clear liquids and applesauce. No dairy for a few days. My DS had a stomach virus last week and he puked and felt better. DD had the same virus and just laid in bed with stomach cramps for 2 days. Hang in there!
Just came back from a 2 hour walk with DH, we went to a local park which surrounds an old stately home where Henry VIII lived it's really beautiful with lots of deer, although this time of year some have big antlers and I'm a scaredy cat when we have to walk past them :rotfl2: We even saw a couple of woodpeckers and the sun was shining too :sunny:
That sounds awesome, Jo! BIG NEWS: My DSIL (my husband's sister) is going to Europe this summer and has invited my DD17 to go along! They will be going to France, Spain, and Italy. It's an early graduation gift/Christmas gift/birthday gift/wedding gift (if she ever gets married). Oh well...this should cover DSIL gift-wise....forever! DD's very excited! We're going to apply for her passport today. And I'm glad Oliver has eaten. He must be feeling better. :)

Oooooh! That is exciting! :yay: I can't wait to see what she does with her camera over there! Tell her I'm jealous! Oh, and on a side note, I sent her a message on myspace over the weekend with a list of photography books and lenses I own. Hope she got it OK as I didn't copy the message anywhere. :headache:

I started telling her about your new lens and she told me you sent her a myspace message. Thank you!

She is already trying to figure how to get the pix downloaded and off the picture disk so she can take lots. Her DBF has offered for her to take his laptop but I don't think that's a good idea.

Is there some mobile hard drive-ish thingy that you can download to without a computer? Or should we just buy more memory cards for her?

Hey...I did go over to skim your TR installment (cause I knew the pictures would be awesome) and those pictures of Wishes are the absolute best I've ever seen. Unbelievable, Lynda! You rock! :thumbsup2

Be back to really read later...........

No problem! I LOVE talking photography! Anytime! :)

We always take one of our laptops to WDW, so that is a toughy! There are some portable storage devices that have a viewscreen, but I don't know their cost. I think there are some in one of my photography magazines. I will have to look and see what they are called & who makes them. I would like to have one, but no idea how much they are. I am guessing she is going to want to take a LOT of pictures. (I know I would!) More memory cards wouldn't be a bad idea. She will probably need more in the future anyway, but that still gives her a limited amount of space. I'll have to check out those portable storage devices and let you know what I learn! I've been curious myself.

Oh, thanks! :) I actually am going to do some work on some of those photos in that installment and update them - hopefully tonight, but I want to start my new installment too, so we'll see. ;) I have a cropped version of the "Oh Christmas Tree" fireworks photo, and I am going to get rid of that crane!
