Costco package Grand Floridian Water room?

We booked a package through costco at the Grand Floridian for a water view room
Has anyone check in for this too, and please don't tell me it was down by the boats. I'm curious what they mean by 'water view'

And were they agreeable to let you change a room? (booked through costco) I have found the GF has been so kind to help find a great room if the assigned room was near an elevator or ground floor.

Yes, you can change the room type on a Disney World package booked through
Costco Travel, but it is subject to availability and potential price changes. You must contact Costco Travel directly to make modifications, as they manage the reservation, not Disney. Changes may incur additional costs, and in some cases, you may need to cancel and re-book.

You would need to go through Costco to place any room requests on your reservation. If you check in and find you are not happy with your room assignment, you can ask the front desk CMs if they can change your room. I have found that they are very happy to check and reassign rooms if something more to your liking is available. It is possible, however, that you will be placed in a room that fits the category you reserved, but it not entirely to your liking. There is just never a guarantee all of your room requests can be honored.

There are 3 different ‘water view’ categories though.



I’m not sure at GF but at other WDW resorts it often comes down to how many people are booked for the room.

Water view at GF is mostly Sago and some Conch and Boca Chica. Many of those are near the boat dock. If you don’t like the noise of the horns request at arrival to be on the side of sago facing the walking path to MK. That side is quieter.
