DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

I have to get out of this house and buy a scale. With running a daycare sometimes I feel like a prisoner in my own home.

There's a nice article in the State Journal about the hockey player. Here's the link if anyone is interested. He gave kudos to his parents in the article and I just bawled. He growed up right.:goodvibes

This is the weirdest thing. All day yesterday I had a lower ache in my upper buttocks, left side. Thinking ok, bladder or kidney infection. I have had this before and I remember that awful nagging pain. It did not hurt to go potty though.

At 7pm I had had it and the pain reached it's peak and told Tim when he came back from picking up Matt from cathecism I was going to urgent care. I sat down while on a phone call and it just went away. :confused3

So far today. I'm ok.

MRNsMommy Those shots are just wonderful. When I had that nasty breast infection that was the only thing that worked. Within 24 hours I was feeling so much better. I hope you are feeling better already. Good thing you have connections.:thumbsup2

Lots of pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Laura: Good luck at the Dr's with your little one. Hate those surprise wake ups.

Thanks everyone. I am so excited about the completion of this major project. We've never taken on something like this and I have been pretty geeked the whole time.

dance2874: Wow she had some hair at birth. She is beautiful!

Uma: You are such an influence. Now I have to go get those books. My neighbor and I will buy books and then pass them on to each other. I hope this is one she hasn't read yet.

Good luck to you all on weigh in.

pixiedust: So sorry to hear that you're sick. DS6 woke up last night standing next to my bed saying while holding his ear "mommy my ear hurts" and of course crying. I was calling the pedi today anyway because of his cough (afraid of bronchitis again) but now we have to go in anyway for the ear. He can't get a break.
Poor guy! Hope he's feeling better soon, too! Being sick is not fun...WDW or not!

Hmmm...maybe you just had a spasm or something! Glad it's better now, though!

Thanks...unfortunately, I had about two hours of sleep last night b/c I felt so terrible! My ear and throat felt so bad and swollen that I could barely swallow. I spent most of the night on the couch staring up at the ceiling in the dark!:sad2: Hoping those shots kick in soon!
And we leave in about 24 hours now! I should be :cool1: ...but instead I'm  Ugh!

As for my weigh-in...I'm - 1.2 lbs. this week!

Is this really possible? I wake up about an hour early this morning to shovel, and weigh myself before heading out. I'm down 1 pound. I go out and shovel the driveway, come back in and weigh myself again, and I'm down another 1.6. How does that happen? If all I have to do to lose 1.6 pounds is shovel a driveway, then I'm going to start shoveling my entire neighborhood! I'll be down to my goal weight by the end of the weekend. So my recordable gain/loss for this week is that I lost 2.6 pounds. This brings me to a grand total weight loss of 41.4 pounds since the start of the year, and an uber-grand total loss of 65.4 pounds lost since April 2005. This puts me under my Christmas goal of 175 by 0.4 pounds, and I am now 19.6 pounds away from my goal weight of 155. Hard to believe that I am less than 20 pounds from reaching my ultimate goal. Even though I've reached my Christmas goal already, I'm keeping the same goal of being under 175 because this weekend starts three weeks of Christmas parties and other family gatherings. So if I can maintain these next three weeks, I'll be a happy camper.

I hope to see some happy numbers from all of you!

Samer this week... but I'll take it. I haven't been the bestest peep this week. I've promised myself that I'll be better next week.

This morning started out with a bang, literally. I got rear-ended on my way into work. I'm fine and my car has little to no damage (thank god). I was shaking so badly that I just decided to go home to deal with the insurance companies (called it into the police and filed a report before I left though). I've spent my morning on the phone with various insurance adjustors. Thank goodness he has insurance AND admitted he was at fault.

Gotta love those subarus -- neons just bounce off them. I don't think the car needs any body work, but I'd like someone to check the security/safety of the bumper.

Wow! It's time for me to catch up on this thread! Life is incredibly busy right now (not that it isn't for anyone else) so please don't be offended when I just pop on and off like this. I've been working really hard to lose some weight and was thrilled last Friday when I'd lost 2 pounds, and again today when I'd LOST ANOTHER TWO POUNDS! I just keep going. I've been drinking the water, watching the calories, doing cardio and strength training (although not enough of either one), and check it out - it's working. I guess I just needed some assurance that it WOULD work!

I hope you're all having a great holiday season! The weather here is just picturesque...light snow, with about 3 inches on the ground, and some soothing holiday music - I'm on the couch in my living room by the Christmas tree, just happy to be here. I have a great-aunt who was diagnosed with lung and liver cancer, and she doesn't have much more time in this world. I visited her last night and, well, you can just tell when someone is so near the end.

So thanks to all of you for encouraging me to make the life choices that will, hopefully, prevent the pain and difficulties that come from a lifetime of unhealthy living!

Have a GREAT weekend!

I haven't been the bestest peep either this week, I'm a samer too. Funny I got bumped in a parking lot the other day. Me and another car backed out of our spaces at the same time. Bump. My car is fine (I have a Durango), her car on the other hand, :scared1: Her back taillight was gone and I found it on my bumper. No one was hurt so that's good. Called the police, insurance too. Have a better week.

Oh my! I'm glad nobody was hurt. My truck has been in a few fender benders itself, thankfully none of them my fault. And every time I'm so glad that I have a big vehicle, because if I had been in a small car for either one the car might not have been drivable. I was in the middle of a 12-car accident three years ago. The car behind me was crumpled up underneath my bumper; and there was a truck in front of me. I just needed a new front bumper and I was good to go. The back bumper is still a crooked, but you couldn't tell just by looking at it. And then a week after our honeymoon two years ago, a 16-year old girl in her parent's truck pulled out of a parking lot and I T-Boned the back end. I ended up having to go to a body shop for that one, but I was able to drive it to work for a few days before I was able to get it in.

Congratulations! I know what you mean with needing some success for reassurance. We've all been there, and it is a great feeling when you finally see your hard work paying off.

Well, here it is, less than 36 hours before we leave for WDW, and I'm SICK AS A DOG! My dad is a doctor so I went to see him to get checked out tonight and ended up getting two shots! My throat is killing me, which he says is just post-nasal drip (lovely), but I've got a bad ear infection apparently, running fever, and am achey all over! Not good! So, please send lots of pixie dust my way...hoping these shots and the meds he sent me home with will knock this outta my system ASAP!!! :scared1:

hopefully since you got a shot it will knock it out of your system. i hate shots but when i have a terrible cold that's all i want just because they work so quickly. it's like pulling teeth to get a doctor to give a shot anymore.....you're lucky your dad is there to help! hope you feel better before you leave!!!

could it be your sciatic nerve? maybe you slept weird on it and then when you sat down somehow it relieved whatever was putting pressure on it. just a thought!

glad no one was hurt! make sure he's the covered driver on his insurance policy. ray got rearended a couple of years ago and the girl had insurance, but then we found out she wasn't the covered driver so the insurance wasn't gonig to cover the damage. we thought we were going to have to sue. but then finally the guy that owned the car admitted he gave her permission to drive it so it all worked out. the cop that handled the accident didn't get all the info we needed so it just took longer than normal to get it straightened out. the girl didn't speak english and i just think the cop didn't want to mess with her! :headache:

well, i'm a SAMER again!!!! i know i shouldn't be mad, but i REALLY want to lose those last 2 pounds before christmas. it's sooooooooo hard to lose weight this time of year! yesterday i was at the office and another court reporter had brought in some of these little peanut butter ball things covered in chocolate.....so i gave in and had one. i'm sure that added back anything i lost this week!

hope everyone has a good friday!

I'm -3 this week. And to make that loss even better, last night I had to go shopping for a pair of pants for my Aunt's funeral (which is tomorrow). I tried on 5 pair of size 10's and they were all too big so yup, I was forced to buy a size 8. My total weight loss is now at 26 lbs. I'm feeling pretty good about life right about now.

Have a great day everyone.

Awesome! Just awesome

Actually the more I think about it, AF finally came on Sunday, the first one since I had the baby and it was a doozy. I think it was just the end of all the aches and pains that go along with it.

And here's my tree.

Well... I'm down -1.6 but I'm sure the sweet tea from McDonalds is going to wreck it. I went shopping last weekend, and I fit into an 11/12! I couldn't believe it! The same size as my sister! Although she's taller and built a heck of a lot better than I am... she's proportioned, I'm not.

MONICA~ I love the kitchen! It looks great, and it's not even done! My father has owns a handyman franchise, and I love to learn things from him. As much as my dad and I don't really get along - we were seriously talking about buying a house and flipping it. But, I honestly think we'd kill each other! :rotfl:

Well I don't have an official weigh in because I don't remember the last weight I was at when I posted my numbers here. Make sense? But I do know that I seem to be maintaining very nicely through this holiday season. I've been weighing every couple of days and it goes up 1 and then down 1. So no huge gains and I'm happy about that. Apparently my cousin who is still living with us and taking her sweet time finding a rehab facility (don't get me started) thinks that buying tons of candy will make up for her presence in the house. Guess what it. It doesn't.

Monica - your kitchen is looking great! My mom remodeled her kitchen a couple years ago with the light maple cabinets like your design and white appliances. It looks great! The old kitchen was the original from the 70's. Yikes.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday! I spent the morning at Target spending way too much money and then the afternoon baking and decorating cookies for a christmast ornament exchange party my mom and I are going to tomorrow night.

Oh and I'm looking for some gift ideas for my niece and nephew. I am having the hardest time thinking of something for them. I was thinking of getting them 2 smaller things as opposed to the one bigger ticket item I usually get each of them in the past. I think part of the problem is my DSIL and DB are so finicky about all the gifts they get that I want to make sure it is something they "approve" of. Anyway, any ideas for an almost 5 year old boy and an almost 7 year old girl (both their birthdays are in January) would be appreciated.

I think that we might have the same tile. At least it appears that way. I lover your pantry---that is awesome. Malorie is just to cute.

We are going to have our family picture taken tonight. I have to finish shopping for this after school.. I will post what they look like when I get them. I hope that everyone is doing well. Sorry to hear about all the illnesses going around. I have not had a lot of time to get on the computer lately--but I think that I am caught up. Just a very busy time of year for everyone.

Have a good one. I did not weigh this morning--will in the morning.

punkin413 You can lose the 2 lb before Christmas, I know you can. It's very hard with all of the sweets and cookies and oh those peanut butter chocolate balls, yummy. DMIL used to make those. Very bad.

Pakey
Yeah for 3 lb and :woohoo: for the pants. I just got new pants and I went down a size. It feels sooooooooooo good. Keep up the good work.:thumbsup2

monymony3471 The kitchen is great. I don't have a pantry either. Malorie is adorable. I love your tree. Where did you get the Mickey topper. I have a tinkerbell that sits up on top of my tree and her wings light up (they have fiberoptics in them) I love the mickey icon though, very cute.

HopingToGetEngaged :woohoo: Great job.

Wonders10 No worries on the weigh in numbers, staying the same is good in my book too, especially around the holiday season. Tell her to buy a candy that you don't like but tell her you like it, then you won't eat it right? As for the gifts, does the little girl like to do crafts, you can get some craft kits, or do they like reading? A gift card to a book store. HTH

Well for those who read that DS6 was coughing again and his ear problem last night. We went to the pedi and yes he has an ear infection and guess what else --- asthma. The pedi said it's a cold induced asthma so I have to start his breathing treatments as soon as he gets sick.

my2boysrtwicethefun I would let him play out in the snow for a minute. Bundle him up. My DS a couple of years ago had a fever and I let him outside to play for a little while. It was in the summer but when I asked the doctor's office if we could just sit outside they told me no keep him inside. :scared1: But if you are worried about your trip, then don't.

I did decide to let him go out for a 1/2 hour but after 10 minutes he had enough and was back in. He seems to be doing fine. :)

Monica~ Your kitchen is looking great. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see the end product.

I just went on line and did most of my christmas shopping. My kids and newphews are DONE! Found everything I was looking for too. I got my nephews sleds, snowboards, goggles. They are moving out to their future step dads place and he has 20 acres. They had a huge mound of dirt in the back from the addition they put on and it's all covered with snow. They are the outdoorsy type, so I thought this would be perfect.

Thanks. I made all the disney heads myself last year. Got inspired from the holiday trip we took. They are very easy. Here's a link to a thread if you want to read how to make them. Lots of people are making them this year.
My whole tree is fiber optic. I don't need to put lights on. Saves so much time.

Hi Peeps,

I'm sneaking on my PDA right now to let you guys know that I am in the hospital and have been here since Tuesday night.

You guys may recall on Tuesday when I posted saying that I was on crutches because I had a pulled hamstring.

Well, my SO brought me kicking and screaming to the emergency room on Tuesday night. They did an ultra sound and discovered that I had a blood clot in my leg. So, they admitted me and have also since discovered another clot in my lung.

I am not sure when I'm getting out of the hospital, but I hope I'm not here much longer. I WAS supposed to leave for WDW next Sunday (12/16) for my birthday trip, but now the doctors in the hospital are not sure that I will be able to travel, so I may have to completely cancel my trip which SO TOTALLY SUCKS!!

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally thankful for my LIFE (because had I waited much longer it could have killed me) but that doesn't take away the hurt I feel at the thought of cancelling my trip. And, you only turn 30 once, right?

Anyway Peeps, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I will keep you guys posted.

i thought you guys would get a kick outta this.

most of you know one of my best friends is also my fitness trainer (anna a/k/a wonderwoman). you also know that i helped her with her wedding and reception recently. well, i bought her a gift certificate at a local winery/spa for a full body massage for her birthday back in may. she hasn't used it yet. she wanted to do something for me for helping her so much with her wedding/reception, so she got the bright idea of buying me the same thing so we could go together sometime the week after christmas. she called today to make the appointment and they mentioned to her that because we were using their facilities, that we were welcome to also use their walking trails, exercise facilities, showers and have complimentary tea and snacks at 4:00. so she calls me all excited and tells me that she made the massage appointment for 2:00 so that we could get there early and work out in the their exercise room before the massage and then have tea afterwards. she's like, "doesn't that sound FUN??????????" um.......no! we're supposed to be relaxing and the girl wants to work out during our spa day. WTH???? :confused3 i love the girl but sometimes i don't understand her! i'm going along with it though......it can't hurt, right?

DH just got home from work with 3 tubes full of chocolate covered sunflower seeds. :headache:
