DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Morning peeps. I'm still under the weather but slowly dragging myself back towards the human race. It's been great for the diet though as I have no appetite.

Kat I can't stand the smell of any perfume or lotions or anything. I have terrible allergies. DH and I were once at a Cirque show that we had to leave because these two women sat right in front of us who had obviously soaked in a vat of cheap cologne. I was clogging up and coughing like crazy.

Monica The kitchen progress looks amazing. I know you must be beside yourself with excitement.

Danielle Loved the quaaludes story. Cracked me up.

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Aaron: Yes we are keeping them white. I have always wanted white. And now all WE see are dark colors in the kitchen on those shows.

Oh well. I want what I want. So I get what I get.

They are working on the sink and he is making the "L" i believe today.:yay:

Now that it looks like a kitchen again I am like a child waiting for santa. I keep running up and peeking at the progress.

BTW: This project took the place of a disney trip. Or 2!:rotfl:

Good Morning!!!
Baked Corn
1 can whole corn, drained
1 can creamed corn
1 box Jiffy corn bread mix
1 egg
1/2 c margarine
8 oz sour cream
1 T sugar

Mix egg, margarine, sour cream and sugar. Add corn, then Jiffy mix, stir well. Bake in a greased casserole dish 45 min at 350 degrees. (This is one of my husbands favorite recipes.)

MRNsMommy...This recipe is similar to the "corn mush" served at ChiChi's. My family loves this recipe! We have doubled it and taken it to church pot luck's. I never have any left to bring home! :confused3

Monica...The kitchen is really coming together! Those deep drawers are great...just beware...if you have utensils in them, it can become a mess! (I have the hardest time finding spatula's and the other things I need while I am cooking! I'm always "digging"! ) Where does the table go? I am trying to picture it all in my head!

Kim...Happy Belated Birthday! :cheer2:

Shannon...I'm glad the dentist went well. I have an appointment in Jan with a new one. Wish mine took my new insurance! :sad2: I have a dentist i like, but have to switch because of the insurance...not fair!!!

Got most of my shopping done yesterday...just a few more things for DS & DH and my Dad then I'm completely done. YAY!!!

Gayle we haven't found a new dining set yet we like, but when we do, it will be near the Bay Window. So much more light on that side of the room and near the front of the house instead of the back.

Mony, love the kitchen!! I bet you are so ready for it to be done!

I am luckily not allergic to the perfume, it is just irritating. I don't understand people.

Happy belated birthday Kim!

Today is not as bad as yesterday, so far, but there is still time....

Monica - The kitchen looks great!!! It is nice to see some cabinets beside your sink. It has looked so lonely in you "progress" pictures. Sticking out of the wall all by its lonesome. :rotfl2:

You are really going to enjoy that kitchen once it is all done. :thumbsup2

But the fugly sink got ripped out today! The last bit of yuck is gone. They have been building the "L" today. Busy Busy Busy!

So new sink in a new location.....How cool!!!:cool2: I have white cabinets, and I love them! Just don't like the fingerprints that show on them. 409 will become your friend. ;)

:grouphug: Thanks for all thwarm birthday wishes! It was a wonderful day. It snowed about 4 inches yesterday (sidenote: it has snowed the last 4 years on my b-day) which made me very happy. My baby wanted nothing to do with the snow and kept yelling, "MESS, MESS". However, my 3 year old loved it so we were out there until 9:30 last night having a snowball battle with the neighbors. It was great!! :santa:

My parents got me a fantastic gift; 8 sessions with a personal trainer at my gym :cool1: How great is that?! I am going to set-up the first session for Friday night. I really hope to get some great tips and some help with the running.

Pigget, Your poor little man. Thankfully, Ian has done remarkably well on the Pulmicort. He only needs to do it until next Monday and then they are taking him off of it to see how he does. If he starts coughing again his Ped. wants us to mix the pulmicort and albuterol and give it to him that way. It sounds like that is what you are doing now. Good luck with the specialist. I hope they find some answers for you.

Sorry gang but I am super busy today. I will be back tomorrow for a proper post.

Goodnight!!

Ack! I'm soooo far behind!

I've been GLUED to a great book, the second in the Twilight series called "New Moon" by Stephenie Meyer. Glued! I almost never put the book down except to eat or pee.

There's 3 in the series, and it is rockin!

It's a vampire story yet it's rated PG (it'd say).

I hope every one is having a successful week!

I think I'm rocking on my 3 goals...the night time nibbling one is going well because of the book distraction ;)

I ate a big ol' salad with grilled chicken for lunch and for dinner I'll have veggies in hopes of the fiber-factor.

Now, I need to go back a couple pages and catch up!

DisneyObsession Who really has the time for laundry? I need to do laundry too but my mom is off this week so we've been going out everyday.
The corn recipe sounds yummy.

born2bird Cool that you and the big guy have the same birthday. Hope you had a great day. So glad you got snow too:cool1: like you wanted.

Wonders10 Glad things worked with your tooth. Maybe it's just the sensative thing (fingers crossed)

monymony3471 Having no kitchen I am sure not good for anyone on a diet. I remember when DH did our kitchen over (he's a carpenter) it was the worst two weeks of my life. Although I was a lot thinner then we did eat out every night for two weeks. The pictures of the kitchen are absolutely beautiful. You will love it when you finally have it all done.

born2bird My DS6 is going through almost the same thing. He had a cough a couple of weeks ago, went to the doctor - bronchitis; now he's coughing again and last night he was wheezing so bad I gave him a breathing treatment with Albuterol (that's all I had, no steroid). He was good this morning but now I had him breathe for me a couple of minutes ago and he's got that wheeze that the end of his breath. I guess I will call the doctor tomorrow morning, they're closed now.

my2boysrtwicethefun I would let him play out in the snow for a minute. Bundle him up. My DS a couple of years ago had a fever and I let him outside to play for a little while. It was in the summer but when I asked the doctor's office if we could just sit outside they told me no keep him inside. :scared1: But if you are worried about your trip, then don't.

Pakey :surfweb: I hear ya, I didn't get on the computer this morning and I had three pages to go through tonight. I hope you feel better soon.

punkin413 Bath and Body works did that to my mom too. She loved this scent called, hmm let me think, something around Mother's Day (kind of smells like Sweat Pea), darn I can't remember anyway they only had it for that one year. My mom was so upset because the following year I went to buy it for her again and nope no more. They told me it depends on how many people buy it in order to keep it as a scent permantently. It stinks though. That desserts looks so yummy, I agree skip dinner:lmao:

HockeyKat I totally understand the "gold" scent too. Yucky.

MA pigletfan Have a great time on your trip. Take lots of pictures.

MRNsMommy Yeah on the weight loss. Have fun on your trip as well.

Just peaking in tonight after I got home with the kiddos from school bus. I'll stop by later.:flower3:

Where did that spongemommie run off to. I pmed her with my own snowball and she just won't check her pms.

Shannon...I'm glad the dentist went well. I have an appointment in Jan with a new one. Wish mine took my new insurance! :sad2: I have a dentist i like, but have to switch because of the insurance...not fair!!!

I don't even have dental insurance! And I don't have a job since I'm in grad school full time so paying for visits is a real treat. I can't even imagine how much a root canal and cap would cost. And thanks to everyone for sending pixie dust about my tooth!

And I'm doing the single digit dance! A week from tomorrow I will be at MVMCP! I am so excited and so ready for this trip. Between my mom and I dealing with family drama, teeth drama, school and work stress (me) and my brother dealing with losing 2 of his deputies at work, I think all of us are in need of some Disney magic.

She's with a sick and very clingy baby boy. I saw her last night.

I know, I know. I said last time I wouldnt be gone so long and I did it again...another 20 pages behind. :headache: Things here have been busy and I have thought about you all often, just havent had time to keep up! I am still in a bit of a funk I am trying to shake, but luckily being busy this time of year seems to help.

My 'baby' turned 5 while I was out of touch. I cannot believe it. I will of course pimp out some pictures here for you all ;)
I have no idea how she went from this:

literally overnight  I truly cant believe it!!

For her party we had rented a bounce house and of course TX weather decided to wreck my plans. So we found some stuff your own bear kits at Joanns and the kids had a blast with them! They came 2 in a box complete with outfits and accessories and were on sale for super cheap the day after Thanksgiving (with one of her little friends who loves having her pic taken too)
100_7421.jpg

I made cookie bouquets for decorations and the kids each took a cookie home at the end of the party, and of course I did her cake. (I got a decorations kit from a local grocery store for the princess faces, I am good but not good enough to ahve done those myself!)

Had to add Tink on top because she wanted a Tink party.

And her favorite present-Wets and Wiggles Baby Alive- my mom got her. Good practice for the new baby though, so I cant complain ;)

I promise to be a better peep and check in more often. Hope everyone has been well and I will go back and try to read up on the happenings here!

Great party. Looks like a lot of fun. I saw those bears too. Very cute.

Dance!!! Tell your baby girl Happy Birthday for me!

What a darling baby she was! It is so funny how fast they grow. She is just beautiful! I wished we could have spent more time together last Sept!!!

Norah had that same cake (minus Tink) last year. I kept the do-dads on it so maybe I can do it myself some day? I remember it came in a castle box from the bakery at the Grocery store.

monica - i love the new tile!!! we have a VERY similar-looking kitchen floor except ours is cheap linolium!

My 'baby' turned 5 while I was out of touch.

good to hear from you! and tell amanda HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! :flower3:

MA pigletfan MRNsMommy: Have a great time!:yay: :yay:
Thanks...only one day left until we leave!
Hope the meds help your knee! And your kitchen is looking great so far!

MRNsMommy...This recipe is similar to the "corn mush" served at ChiChi's. My family loves this recipe! We have doubled it and taken it to church pot luck's. I never have any left to bring home! :confused3
Yep! That's exactly what it's like...they also have something similar at Chevy's! Love it!

MRNsMommy Yeah on the weight loss. Have fun on your trip as well.
Thanks!

Dance!!!

We had the same one for my DD's 2nd Bday. I think we got it from Kroger! There's no way I could've made it myself...I'm culinarily (is that a word) challenged! And ours was minus Tink, too! I also kept the stuff UM!

Well, here it is, less than 36 hours before we leave for WDW, and I'm SICK AS A DOG! My dad is a doctor so I went to see him to get checked out tonight and ended up getting two shots! My throat is killing me, which he says is just post-nasal drip (lovely), but I've got a bad ear infection apparently, running fever, and am achey all over! Not good! So, please send lots of pixie dust my way...hoping these shots and the meds he sent me home with will knock this outta my system ASAP!!! :scared1:

pixiedust: So sorry to hear that you're sick. DS6 woke up last night standing next to my bed saying while holding his ear "mommy my ear hurts" and of course crying. I was calling the pedi today anyway because of his cough (afraid of bronchitis again) but now we have to go in anyway for the ear. He can't get a break. Anyway I am a samer this week, not bad considering I missed a week last week for DS8 being sick. Not good with my goals this week either. UtahMama those goals are good to set but I just had trouble this week. No kiddos sick (cross my fingers) so I will hit the gym next Monday. I need to lose 5 lb before Christmas so my goals are

1. Gym - treadmill - 3 x in a week
2. Drink at least 64 oz of water
3. Write down my points.

Happy Friday to everyone and good luck with the weigh ins.:cheer2:
