I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack!!

I told you I'm still transitioning - I need to save some of my PM's from my old username... and I dont have enough posts to PM yet...

Hi Sandy! :yay: So glad to "see" you again!

:rotfl: There were a group of us who loved them and we all liked a different New Kid, so no fighting over who ws gonna get which one. We did actually get to sort of 'meet them' once- they were hanging out of their tour bus window as they were leaving the concertn venue and we got to touch their hands. I know you are truly jealous now :lmao:

My group of friends was like that too! We all liked someone different. OH, so jealous! :rotfl:

I know I am :rotfl2: .... I had such a crush on Jordan!! Poster, big button, t-shirt.... uggh can't believe that I admited that...

OMG! Big buttons! I had so many big buttons! :lmao: Those things were hilarious!

Lynda what are you doing this weekend?

Fdil and I are driving down to UofI (I tried to talk them into next weekend - I hate crowds!!) He is in new apartment - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths...

also... mommybrag alert...

He found out he got an A+ on an English paper!! The professor challenged him to redo his paper in 1st person, and ds did - but also did it in a "prose" style!!

(his 2nd A ever in English, and his first A+ EVER!! WOOHOOTY!!)

Might not have any plans this weekend. I'm thinking we don't, but I'll check with Josh to be sure. When are you going to be here? And congrats to DS! Way to go! Oh, and I'm revamping my wedding packages, so I need to talk to you about that too! It'll be in FDIL's favor! ;) (If she's still looking, that is.)

wow....what a great line up! i love gym class heroes and who doesn't like fall out boy? i think i like a couple of plain white T's songs, too!

Who doesn't like them is right? Such fun music! :) LOVE working out to it! And they are just electric in concert! DH doesn't like Hey There Delila, but he wants the Plain White T's CD after hearing some of their other stuff at the concert. They were GOOD!

i love me some live music, too! my mom took me to my first concert when i was 7. she and i dressed alike in pink oxford shirts and jordache jeans and went to see lionel richie on the "all night long" tour! :rotfl2: since i've been about 17 i go to at least 3-4 concerts a year, the best i've seen being pink floyd. INCREDIBLE live!!! madonna was pretty spectacular, too! and yes, i've seen NKOTB! :rotfl:

Yeah, DH and I have been going to more concerts over the past 3 years or so. We were slacking for a while, and I really missed it. We had tickets to see John Mellencamp this Saturday, and I was really excited, but it was cancelled. :sad1:

i had a couple of friends who would not be friends with other girls who liked either joey or donnie.....so weird! i loved jordan! my sister loved jon. what a couple of dorks! and i actually dated a guy my freshman year in high school that looked A LOT like joey....are you jealous! :rotfl2:

Very weird! And that's funny! Oh, were there really very many girls our age who weren't dorks over NKOTB? I think not!

WOOHOOTY - post 25!!

Aaron, could you change me from eeyore to Sandy?? Unless its too much trouble....
Nope, not too much trouble at all. The only copy I have is at work, so I'll do it first thing in the morning so I don't forget. But in the mean time, the latest:

I guess I can't say for sure. But if you would ask "who has never heard of Fall Out Boy", I'd be the first in line.

I think the most "modern" concert I've seen is Metallica, and even they are rather "old". Paul McCartney 5-6 years ago was the best concert I've ever seen; lotsa Beatles music which was really cool. But my favorite concert ever was Queen + Paul Rodgers last year. Queen is my favorite band ever, and I never thought I'd have a chance to see them live. So even though it wasn't with Freddy Mercury (Paul Rodgers of Bad Company fame replaced him), it was still a dream come true. BB King is always a good show, even though it is the same show every year. And my wife has dragged me to a few country concerts which I didn't care for. But that's what a loving husband is for, I guess. Oh, my most disappointing concert? Bruce Springsteen about 5 years ago. Not at all what I had expected. It was the only time I've left a concert wishing I had that money back in my pocket.

(Ok, how is it that I sound so much older than you and Lynda, and yet from what I can recall I'm about the same age?)

I am! I must see photographic evidence...I know you have some somewhere. you are the picture queen ;)
Joe's wife is pregnant, also due with a boy, but she is due in November.

you know it....i found this on his myspace page. it's recent though and he's gained lots of weight in his face since high school. imagine this guy a lot thinner and with a 'fro of curly blonde hair. he lives in pennsylvania now and he found me on myspace about a year ago. we don't really talk much...just say hello and recommend music to each other once in awhile!

I'm here Melinda! Just been lurking the last month. Hope everything is going well with you and your family!!! :goodvibes

tell them your news!!!!!!

OK, am I going to show my age if I tell you that my first concert was Santana in 1968? Yikes, I'm an antique!!!!! I was a huge KISS fan in my early 20s and I think I saw them 9 times in 4-5 years. The groups I was in love with as a kid were the Beatles and the Monkees. Now I don't go to the concerts for the music I like (metal) because I'm too old and conservative to hang out with other concert goers. And I did go to a concert with someone my own age a few years ago to see someone she liked and I couldn't believe how many people in the audience were there with oxygen tanks. I didn't look at them too closely because I might have recognized someone I'd went to school with:rotfl2:

I did that too--in fact I'm still waiting to close. DH is not overly thrilled with me about it.

I justified it by having my dad and his gf buy 86 pts. from us since they are coming with us next Aug. That paid for the down payment on the new pts. and many months of a new payment. ;)

Not bad, pretty creative!!!! I justified that we have a new grandson and as the family continues to grow, we need more rooms which requires more points. DH does not understand why our adult children get free trips to WDW with us. I pay cash for our points plus I get to use the corporate airline miles from my company's credit cards so I pay for all of the kids' airline tickets that way. It doesn't end up being all that much each year then. This is my second addon since we initially purchased and I'm hoping that DH is not keeping a running total. At our age, there's no way we are going to be using those points before they expire so he knows the kids are going to end up with them.

I hope they remember this when I get really old--hopefully one of them will push my wheelchair around the world showcase!!!!

i love all kinds of music....new and old! the four bands/performers i NEVER miss are tori amos, john mayer, dave matthews band & incubus.

aaron - i meant to tell you, if you like bb king and like bluesy, electric guitar-powered music then you should really check out john mayer trio. i know john mayer is known for his poppy stuff, but he's really talented when it comes to guitar. he put out an album in 2005 (i think) with john mayer trio called "try" i'm sure you'd love. his last solo album was really more bluesy too compared to his other stuff.

What that we bought more DVC points last month?? ;)

just spill the beans already!!!

Well, I can help you with who Fall Out Boy is once I get my pics uploaded. Actually, I can try this I guess. Here's a link to one of their videos on YouTube. (never linked to youtube before, hope it works)

The baby news is nothing new...posted about that in July. Dawn just wanted me to spread the news about it being a boy. DH and I are ecstatic...we both wanted a son. He thinks he is getting a football player while I am hoping for my cowboy. Although, a little of both would be fine too!! I'm still riding my horse a few times a week so I think he will have a head start in that dept!! ;)

:rotfl2: Celery, I love your siggy line... Yes, I'm a bit crazy!!! (this - siht boy did I transpose that!! :rotfl2: )

It would help if I worked more!! Having only one car - and dh has to use it to travel into Wisconsin, limits my work days...

Eventar *duh (color me red) A boy, hmmm "Mamas dont let your babies grow up to be Cowboys..." Of course since I'm from Texas - GO COWBOYS!!! *g

Lynda Its Homecoming weekend, so traffic I'm sure will be a nightmare!! and fdil has given DS the assignment to research and pick a photographer!! (love that she is giving him things to do!!)

 Punkin

Dance that is so sweet of Amanda - those memories are precious - I have a good picture of the two of them at that trash can!!

However I somehow lost the precious picture of dh and Nora at the Ohana meet - I could've sworn I uploaded it to photobucket - but I cant find it in my computer, on the flashcard, nor at photobucket, I KNOW I saw that picture!!

I've had some minor setbacks with pictures that caused me no end of depression - its all settling tho!! I'm getting the photopass cd!! (52 pictures, not all are keepers tho!)

I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack!!

I told you I'm still transitioning - I need to save some of my PM's from my old username... and I dont have enough posts to PM yet...

Well it's good to see you and hear from you finally.

It's not that hard to figure out from my siggie! :rotfl:

I didn't know. Congratulations.

I used to work at a radio station and got to meet all of the members of NKOTB. We had an in stuido interview and all in all it was exciting to meet such a popular group. I brought the kids I babsat so it didn't look like I wanted to be there. :rolleyes1

Donnie gave us tickets and we sat with the parents at the show that night.

At the time Mark Walberg was just a little kid trying to start out and we sat and talked with him about his plans. When he finally made it "big" with his hit we did an autograph signing at a music store that was just crazy. A bunch of little girls screaming and out of control and police had to come and do crowd control. We had to turn so many away and then mom's were out of control and girls were sobbing.:sad2:

I know I got pictures somewhere.

Let me know when you'll be here. Maybe we can get together?

Eventer - Congrats on the little BOY!!!! That is wonderful! You and Dance will have to get your boys together. ;) It looks like your due dates are very close to one another.

Sandy...glad you made it back! You were missed.

Tara - thanks for checkin in...congrats on the baby boy!

I was ok foodwise today. I have work and then drive forever to school and don't get home til 9 so my eating schedule is a little wacky on mondays. I don't think I did too bad though. I need to get more water in though that's for sure. I had a new patient eval today and the mom was intense! Whoa, I felt really bad for this kid. Guess I should get used to it though. And I did something really stupid tonight. I called the boy. I don't know why I did it. Well I kind of do. It has been about 3 weeks since we last talked to each other. I skipped my class last week so I didn't see him at all even. Tonight I saw him and he nodded and said hello (his usual) and I don't know...all those feelings that I thought went away started coming back. Stupid stupid shannon. Left a message, nothing psycho, just calling to see how his semester was going and all that stupid stuff. Ugh, now I wish I hadn't done it. Oh well. That is a mistake I will not make again. Ok not with this guy anyway. ;)

I talked about my vacation plans with my travel partner, mom. I suddenly decided this morning that I wanted a disney cruise, to get my disney fix and her cruise fix. She just doesn't want to go to disney and doesn't really understand why I want to do disney for my graduation vacation. As much as she loves it, she doesn't realize that I can go there every year for a real vacation and like it. She doesn't like to try new restaurants or new things, like the Keys to the Kingdom Tour I've been dying to do. Or taking an afternoon for mini golf. Or afternoon tea. She doesn't get it like I do. :sad2: She mentioned going to New York and/or Connecticut to see some family and do some touristy things. I'm sure it would be fun but I know we would do boring things most of the time like go to the local mall (seriously). I swear I'm not trying to complain about this. I should be grateful that I have the chance to do a nice vacation like this...and I am! But why is it so hard to just choose somewhere to go? :confused3

Have a great Tuesday Peeps...think about your turkey day challenge!
