Shannon, it still looks like you have some spaces you could take out.

Maybe put your WISH graphic on the same line as your name? You can put white characters (e.g., asterisks) for spacing if the centering or indent doesn't work. They won't show up in your posted signature.

Now I have to post and see what my siggie looks like!

D, I love that pic of you and goofy!

Dance, don't feel bad. I would definitely prefer a boy over a girl if I were ever to want kids... I don't think a preference is anything to be ashamed of!

Dance: Don't feel bad...I felt exactly the same when I found out I was having a boy. I come from a family of 3 girls ( I am super close to my sisters) and I really wanted Lauren to have a sister. I insisted that the ultrasound was wrong...I even had them do a third ultrasound just to be certain. Now I can't imagine not having a little guy. I feel it has given our family a wonderful balance.

Congrats ! This little guy will complete your family. I think its nice for Amanda too because she will always be your babygirl.

Dance, congrats on the baby boy. I sooooo know how you feel about the disappointment. I wanted a girl so badly and what do I have--3 sons and now a grandson. But I grew up as the big sister to a brother just a bit over a year younger than I am and I could not have loved a sibling more. We remained very good friends all the way into adulthood. I honestly think that if my brother had been a girl, we would never have gotten as close. Hopefully your children will have that same kind of bond.

I'm being good on my diet, walking 4 miles every day, drinking all of my water like a very good peep, but I gotta say, I really hate those stomach exercises. Any suggestions on how to make this part of my day more interesting, I'd appreciate it!!!!

i am just lurking:scared1: and trying to catch up:surfweb: before hitting the bed for the night:cloud9: or should i say this morning.. i have not been able to sleep this last week:woohoo: i wonder why :confused3 every time i hit the pillow i play in my mind more things to do for our trip in 4 or 3 days oh yea 3 days.:cheer2: it was dh birthday and all our friends and family came over to share in cake and ice cream.:wizard: thank you wendy lou for cleaning up :goodvibes I hope all is well with the dis peeps , :goodvibes
Happy Birthday (Late):sad2: NONI :dance3:
everyone have a great day and think skinny thoughts..:cloud9:

Wooo Hooo! Just 3 days. Don't lose sleep! Disneyland is very laid back, very California. You don't need to overplan. For example, we have never made an advance dining reservation, and we have always eaten where we wanted. Just use your Fastpasses, stop and smell the roses, and enjoy yourself. BTW, the frozen yogurt in Toon Town is yummy, and (I think), relatively healthy. Have one for me! Unless it's raining. Then go to the Hearthstone Lounge in the Grand Californian, sit by the fireplace, and have a hot cocoa. Also not the worst for calories.

Danielle[/B]...When's your sister's surgery?

Top three good foods:

1. spinach-in-a-bag...It's an easy to dump out of the bag as say....chips! And like Kat said, it makes a lean cuisine seem like a meal.

I don't know the date yet. I'll post it when I find out.
I had a bag-o-spinach salad tonight with bleu cheese vinaigrette (65 calories in one TB, but one TB goes a long way, and it's so yummy). I threw on a few slivered almonds and dried cherries. It looked fancy and tasted pretty good.

Well, first of all....baby #2 is healthy and measuring right on track. It didnt want to show us the goods, so the sonogram tech kept jiggling my belly to wake it up :lmao: And, I have only gained 5 total pounds so far, so Dr and I were happy with that considering I was still overweight to start with. Amanda is having a baby.......

BROTHER!

I am shocked because I never really thought about it being a boy all this time. And I have to admit, as selfish and ungrateful as it may sound, I am a bit sad too. I have 2 sisters and we are super close so I really wanted that for Amanda.

Don't feel bad. I have one boy and one girl, and they are as close as any 2 siblings I have ever seen. All of my siblings who have kids have either 2 boys or 2 girls, but my kids are closer to each other than any of the other pairs, and they fought less growing up, too. (Except the night before DD's first visit from AF, when she hauled off and punched DS in the stomach. :scared1: ) I am thrilled that everything is going along healthily. Hope you're feeling good!

i am excited:banana: it's just the suitcases and all the clothes..:confused3 i do have adrs for ariel's grotto and a character breakfast and a special dinner at the blue bayou for me and dh. my MIL is going and since we paid for the trip she is paying for the food:thumbsup2 i think we got the easier of the 2  we are gonna be on a (hidden mickey's) hunt:rolleyes1 i have a list so the kids can be occupied:yay: i don't think that will be too hard ,Ds2 will point out every and anything that resembles mickey or his sillouette

BTW i just want to say Thanks for all the info and advice from all my dis peeps i don't feel overwhelmed like i normally would:eek: i do not have high expectations for my kids:woohoo: but i will not let them run amuck and bother people
mayson just went to sleep so i am gonna try to go to sleep before 2 am :cloud9:

Good morning everyone! I have to go to my economics class today:headache: I am not prepared and that is not like me. Oh Well!!

Spongie I know your trip will be great--the outfits are awesome :thumbsup2 .

Christi does have malignant cancer and will start radiation next week.

I ordered Joshua the Woody costume from Disney--he is going to be thrilled. Hope that everyone has agreat day.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

NO SCHOOL TODAY! :yay: (No lunches to make, no kids to wake!)

Misty! Have fun in Disneyland!!!!

Jen!!! A BOY!! Fabulous! I agree with the other peeps who said their lives wouldn't be complete without their lil men. Boys love their mamas like girls love their daddies. It's wonderful...you'll see. And DD will love having a baby doll...boy or girl. ;) Watch out when you change the diaper!!!

Danielle....What brand was the bleu cheese vinaigrette? I don't think I've seen it?

Pakey....I have come to the conclusion that there is no way to make ab exercise fun. Just grin and bear it! It only takes a couple of minutes. The ab work out is at the end of my DVD so I'm always glad to see the abs cause that means it's almost over!

Heather
....THanks for the update on Christi? Praying for complete healing.

Yogurt lovers (are ya listening, Lynda?) ...My new favorite yogurt is the YO+ by Yoplait. Reasons I like it:

It's probiotic like Activia.
It doesn't have artificial sweetners.
It's only 110 calories.
It's great with a Nutrigrain bar for a quickie breakfast.
It has 3 gr. of fiber.
It's the right size/amount for me.
IT COMES IN CHERRY!!!!

EVERYBODY ELSE.....:wave2:

Have a fabulous day!!!

Christi does have malignant cancer and will start radiation next week.

so sorry to hear this. she will be in my prayers.

it's thursday!!!!!!!! i have no idea why that's exciting to me.

i have a chiropractor's deposition this afternoon at 3:30, then i'm done with work until next monday and ray and i leave for destin tomorrow around lunchtime. i'm sure i'll have pictures to post of the wedding and everything that goes along with it when i get back!

oh, in case anyone's interested, i posted a few pics (i only have a few) of my previous trips to disney as a kid in my current pre-TR last night. the link is below in my signature. speaking of.....i had to totally redo it last night to get it all to fit! i think it looks okay though. it took me forever!

Just wanted to say Good Morning!

I have been trying to keep up with posts this week but have been stuck to a sewing machine. Three of my girls are attending a sock hop this weekend and needed costumes from their favorite decade. Always being full of great ideas I volunteered to make two of the costumes. We are putting together a 70ish costume for one. I am making a diner girl costume for one and a 60s dress for another. I lost the diner girl costume pattern so when I started on Tuesday I had to piece together items from separate patterns to make the complete costume. I finished the shirt, skirt and petticoat last time. Now just have the finishing touches (hat, apron, etc). Then this morning I found the stinking pattern! Oh well . .

I have to start the 60s dress today. We could not find a pattern for the style she wants. This is my child who has a very definite vision of what she wants. Hopefully we will meet her expectations on some level.

Hope everyone is having a great week! One more day until the weekend!

BROTHER!
I am shocked because I never really thought about it being a boy all this time. And I have to admit, as selfish and ungrateful as it may sound, I am a bit sad too.

Now, I don't have any kids so I can't really relate, but it sounds like those feelings are pretty normal. When my best friend found out she was having a boy (my godson), not a girl, I was a little disappointed myself. I was all set to play fairy godmother to a little princess! But I got over it pretty quickly and just concentrated on being happy for their health. Now that he's here, I can't imagine him being anything other than Dina's Little Prince! (FYI-Dina is a shortened version of the Portuguese word for Godmother.)

I'm the oldest of a brother/sister pair and I'll be honest, we didn't get along for the majority of our childhood, BUT we're also 5 years apart and like night and day. Not to mention the fact that the boy had the audacity to be born during my 5th birthday party. I was like, 'COME ON! I didn't ask for a little brother for my birthday!! Where's my Cabbage Patch Kid???" It's been a battle from the very beginning.

Now, as adults (and probably since I turned 23 and he turned 18), we're better friends than we've ever been and I can better appreciate having him. As a matter of fact, when asked I often say that I'm glad I don't have a sister, but wish instead that I had an OLDER brother.

I have an interview tomorrow morning (finally!!!) for my next internship for next semester.

Lots of luck! Here, I'll even blow myself up with pixie dust for you - pixiedust:

My, I see the signature muncher has been at work over here today. Yikes!

Ugh. I thought I was within the guidelines, but apparently not. I spent so much time this morning trying to fix it. Gee...maybe I should just go ahead and lose all that weight in the next 2 or 3 days so I can just nix the weight loss ticker. :thumbsup2

i am excited

Spongemommie - Have an awesome time! I went to DL and Cali Adventure once back in '02 while on a trip to the LA area. I wish I'd seen more. (I was with a friend who...well...let's just say I was ready to come home. By Day Two. Of Seven Days.) Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Happy Thursday Peeps! One more day until Friday!!! Yay! :yay:

And weigh-in. Nay! :crazy2:

Ugh, been such a icky week weight-wise. I know the scale will show a higher number tomorrow, so I'm just trying to get settled back on track.

This weekend is going to be busy. The kitties go to the doctor for their annual check-up and I have a nail appt. and a million-odd chores to get done Saturday. On Sunday we're paying another visit to the Ren. Faire in our area (King Richard's Faire). It's pricey, but we got some free tickets with some friends, so I certainly can't think of any reason not to go. I'm going to try to behave myself better this time in terms of what I eat. I was thinking about it today and really, the only thing they have that I'm really going to want are Sweet Potato French Fries. :faint: Hot, yummy, a teensy bit greasy with some ketchup. So I think I'm going to limit myself to that and another small treat.

Does anyone else do that? (Happily) Anticipate what they're going to cheat-eat?

:flower3:

I have a Dina myself..( my mothers side is 100% portuguese and my dad is Italian)..when i was little i used to not be able to pronounce Portuguese and i would say that i was " Half italian and half plain"...like a pizza. I must have had food issues as a kid as well :lmao:
This signature thing makes me mad..i better get cracking on fixing it!
I know about that ren. fair! ( how could i not right?)..is it a good time? i have always thought about going to King Richards but never made it down there....this weekend i think we are going to, of all things, an RV show. NOT that we are looking to get one in the near future, but Greg is obsessed with how cool they are..so i figured why not go to his "happy place" and let him climb all over very very expensive houses on wheels...as long as he takes me to dinner later ;)

you and ray would get along great! he's such a nerd when it comes to all that stuff. not that you're a nerd.....but ray definitely is. but a cute nerd! anyway, i need to take a picture of his "man room" (our bonus room) and post it on here for you. it's FULL of star wars figures and gundams (sorta like transformers) and of course the optimus prime that he won. he's even got his darth vader lightsaber mounted on the wall!
No, you were right the first time. I am definitly a nerd. If the Optimus Prime action figure didn't do it, then the fact that I got giddy when I saw He-Man on DVD sealed the deal. But I tell people that it's a nerd's world, everyone else is just living in it.

Amanda is having a baby....... BROTHER!
Congratulations! And as others have said, I'm sure Amanda will be a great big sister no matter what gender her sibling is.

I'm cringing to hit "Submit Reply" because I don't want to see what happened to my signature.

i see the top of your head still! isn't that just flat out annoying?

ray has some sort of emblem on his computer about "nerds will inherit the world" or something like that. and in addition to his star wars and gundam figures upstairs, he used to have the ceiling lined with he-man figures. he sold them all recently. you guys would so get along!

That's so cute. And funny! :rotfl:

It is a good time, but a little on the pricey side. We go almost every year and the price goes up $1 each year it seems, although nothing inside the faire seems to change all that much. But if you've never been, it's definitely worth at least one trip - to at least have some good munchies and admire all the people dressed up. They're open on the weekends only and I think the last weekend is the 28th/29th. Here's the site if you're interested: www.kingrichardsfaire.net

We think RVs rock too! And we're not in the market to get one either. We both like the idea of driving all over the country...only neither one of us is confident enough to drive that boat of a vehicle!

Looks like I'm gonna have to shrink my picture or something. What a pain in the hind quarters.

EDIT: Looks like this'll have to do for now. I just hate all of that white space next to my picture.

EDIT #2: Still not happy with my signature, so I thought I would change it to the caption below...

:rotfl2: I like it!! :rotfl2:

Now I am going to have to re-identify people!

Although in all seriousness, it is rather nice to have the sigs shrunk a bit. I browse this site at work so the fewer blinking things that can call attention to my non-work, the better!

I have been doing pretty well this week, although I have to admit that I deliberately ate less calories yesterday so that I could have 3 glasses of wine...

I did include:
-a special k waffle for bfast (grains)
-a huge salad at lunch, broccoli and steak in my lunch frozen meal (veggies and protein)
-2 snow crab clusters w/ 1 tbsp light butter, celery and ff onion dip, for dinner (fat, protein, veggies, and dairy)
-a bag of 94% FF popcorn for a snack

I still stayed around 1200 though, and did 40 min on the elliptical, 25 crunches on a ab bench w/ a 5 lb weight, 25 straight up on the ball, and 25 twist on each side on the ball.

I'm listening, and I will have to check it out. I do love my Activia though. ;)

Tell me about it! What happened to the 12 lines of text you used to be able to have in addition to the pictures. Now it's just 250 pixels? That's a dramatic difference! It's not gonna be easy to get mine down to size.

Yes, it is annoying.

Josh would SO fit in too! His cousin is in town and brought with him 'new old' Transformers, and in Josh's own words, he was "geeking out about it". :rotfl:

Yeah, I'm gonna have to resize my pic when I get home tonight. I hope I can make it work. It IS a pain in the hind quarters, isn't it?

I am :rotfl2: at your new signature though!

OK, so since I can't see parts of my signature while here at work, can someone tell me what they are seeing now? :confused3 I took the picture out until I can resize later. I moved my bouncing pumpkin, and I shrunk the font and removed the smilies from my list of trips.

I actually agree. It is nice not having to scroll through 1/2 page siggys to get to the next message. But it frustrates me because I FINALLY get around to putting a picture in, and it gets cut off.

The bottom of your signature is your WISH 30 banner, but the very bottom of that is cut off. The word "Pounds" is cut in half.
