Good morning everyone from the west coast peep here! Wow, you guys were all busy on here this morning. I had to "waste" 30 minutes here at work reading and catching up with all of you. Gosh, I sure hate "wasting" my work time reading on the disboards!!!.

I'm so glad everyone is posting their snacks as this is the area in my battle where I feel I have the weakest link in my armor. Also, I have no originality so I never thought about some of the things you guys have mentioned. I'm so excited to be able to try some new things. I'm going to go back through the posts and take some notes so that DH can pick some of these things up for me on his next store run (DH does all of the cooking, shopping, housework, etc).

My favorites are

1) Yoplait light 100 calorie yogurts, especially the apple turnover and key lime pie

2) Orville's 100 calorie popcorn snack packs

3) Sugar snap peas

I also have at least 2 pieces of fruit every day, along with a glass of v-8 juice.

I hope everyone enjoys their skinny day.

o.k. top 3 good for you snacks....3.salad, lots of salad with grilled chicken (I try to make extra chicken when I cook it, that way I have leftovers to put on the salads for lunch...lemon pepper chicken breast is GREAT!) my favorite 2 dressings are "Maries" brand of lite blue cheese, (80 calories 2tbls) a little goes a long way, and Kraft lite Asian Toasted Sesame (60 calories 2 tbls) this is a great lunch.... 2. Granola bars ! Lots of variety, chocolate and p-nut butter get top score, average 150 calories, some are high protien others high fiber. A good sweet treat....1. cottage cheese and fruit, Breakstones little pre-packaged type with pineapple is really good! :goodvibes

I'm so jealous! I have an original Optimus Prime action figure from when I was kid on my filing cabinet in my office at work watching over me. No one has snuck up behind me and attacked me yet, so I figure he's doing his job.

you and ray would get along great! he's such a nerd when it comes to all that stuff. not that you're a nerd.....but ray definitely is. but a cute nerd! anyway, i need to take a picture of his "man room" (our bonus room) and post it on here for you. it's FULL of star wars figures and gundams (sorta like transformers) and of course the optimus prime that he won. he's even got his darth vader lightsaber mounted on the wall!

Thanks for the warm re-welcomimng ! :cloud9:

Melinda : You are so right...I have been lurking here for the last few months. I am going to try and be food accountable and post everyday. :) A girl needs her Peeps.

Pixie : Weird...I have been wondering where a bunch of the peeps went too....You, Disney Jo, Glendamax, TwinkieMama, PrincessV. I think its great that you and I found our way home...we can climb back on this wagon together. Lets try and post everyday. :yay:

Tink-ing and Dance: I can't tell you how amazing it feels to dance again ! I look forward to it all week. My daughter goes to the same dance school (in an earlier class) and our teacher said that we can do a duet for the end on the year show ! This is her first mother/daugther combo. How crazy is that ? I have not gone back on point yet...I want to strengthen my ankles first and maybe I will try in the new year. There are quite a few girls who do my class with just slippers. If you can find a school...GO! :cheer2: The love of dance is something you never grow out of.

Wonders: My "best" foods are:
1) low fat triscuits with Jack' fresh salsa (from Costco)
2) really cold, firm black seedless grapes
3) Roasted Cauliflower (please note: I hate regular cauliflower...but roasted it is completely different. Even my kids like it. :thumbsup2 )

Hockeykat: Good for you ! :thumbsup2 Are you turing into a "hotty" ??? I think it's HUGE that a guy would notice. Most Men are clueless about stuff like that. (sidenote: Not Aaron because he is a peep...)

Spongie: Don't lose sleep over your vacation...you will be too tired to enjoy it. I bet you have tons of planning done already...roll with it and enjoy :hippie: ! I hope you are doing a TR...cause I am going to "the land" in March and will need some "peep" advice.

Noni: Happy belated Birthday !!!!

Lynda: I can't wait to try the crab cakes ! Yummmm

Too everyone...Thanks for the warm welcome ! :grouphug:

Have a super skinny day...quick... go drink a glass of water !!! Good peeps know we need over 64 oz a day...Drink, Drink, Drink !

Kim

Dance sounds like a great way to have fun while getting in shape!

I don't know about turning into a "hotty"... would be nice though!

Well, first of all....baby #2 is healthy and measuring right on track. It didnt want to show us the goods, so the sonogram tech kept jiggling my belly to wake it up :lmao: And, I have only gained 5 total pounds so far, so Dr and I were happy with that considering I was still overweight to start with. Amanda is having a baby.......

BROTHER!

I am shocked because I never really thought about it being a boy all this time. And I have to admit, as selfish and ungrateful as it may sound, I am a bit sad too. I have 2 sisters and we are super close so I really wanted that for Amanda. We are 99.99% sure this will be our last so I am sad she will miss out on that bond. I know there are lots of people out there who would be thrilled for any baby, so I feel really silly and horribly ungrateful being even slightly dissapointed. I just wish I would have taken time to enjoy my little girl more when she was tiny, I think that is part of it too. Ok enough grumbling from me. Please dont think horribly of me

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I so understand your feelings--I was just opposite. We truely were hoping for another boy. I forgot all about wanting a boy the minute I saw her. When are you due?

My offical date is March 5th. But Amanda was a week late, and HUGE and ended up a c-section after 36hrs of labor. So my Dr wants to go ahead and schedule this one as a c-section for late Feb.

Jen - CONGRATS! It is great that the baby is so healthy (as is mom!). And I don't think it is silly or mean that you were a teeny tiny bit sad. I think a lot of moms probably feel that way and then they get over it. Of course I'm not a mom so that's just speculation. I bet there will be things that you will love about having a boy that you didn't have with your DD and vice versa. That's what makes it all so special. And I'm sure that DD and soon to be DS will be very close as well, not that whole sister thing, but still really close. I can tell already that my niece and nephew, who are 2 years apart, will be super close when they get older.

I have an interview tomorrow morning (finally!!!) for my next internship for next semester. I'm hoping it is like all the other interviews I went on where it is just a formality and not like a true interview. Wish me luck!

Also, my current internship ends the week after Thanksgiving but their new intern doesn't start until January...meaning that there will be a good month or so where my clients won't get speech. So my supervisor asked if I'd be willing to get my SLP assistant license (which I was going to get anyway), then she could hire me and pay me for those couple of weeks. :thumbsup2 Plus it would probably guarantee me a job with her when I graduate if I choose to work there. But at the same time, I was REALLY looking forward to no school and no work to study for my Certification Exam (similar to the Bar or M-Cats) in January and just plain old relax! I told her I definitely don't want to work 5 days a week so she said we could work something out.

Ok, gotta get some work done because Ghost Hunters is on at 9! I love that show.

congrats to you ! Please don't feel bad about how you feel i have at one time or another (with all 4 of my boys) wished that they were gonna be girls. as a matter of fact when i was pg with #4 i did not want to have him at all, i was miserable health wise and was scheduled for a hysterectomy when they told me i was pg:eek: and then to top it all off when he was lil he had to have surgery because he had hursh brunch disease (once again i butchered that)at least you already have a girl that is what i say all the time ,"at least i have my sanity (oh wait i meant girl)"
it is normal to feel that way esp if you know it is your last child:hug:

Kat - So cool that your coworker commented on your hotTness!

Dance, it's nice to know you're having a boy so you can plan ahead :teeth:

Wonders, congrats on your interview tomorrow!

Spongie, don't stress and try hard to get some rest before your vacation. I wish I had gotten more sleep the night before going to WDW. And that I'd taken some of that Airborne stuff before traveling :rolleyes1 Next time I will.

Tinkabella - TwinkieMama was around on the Peeps thread recently, but she hangs out quite a bit over on the MOOvin' Along thread and has been the Riddle Goddess on Wednesdays on occasion (including today). All Peeps are welcome to pop by - UtahMama, Spongie, and Eeyore hang out there sometimes too!

:wizard: For your interview. I am sure it will be fantastic!

And thanks for making me feel normal everyone. I know that no matter what, once the time comes I wont be able to imagine it any other way. It was just such a shock. DH went through these feelings when we found out #1 was a girl, so he can understand how I feel which helps too.

What is that about? Mine was Ok a few hours ago and I was never told it was not within guidelines. Are they limiting it for some reason or something?

yeah, please fill me in, too! for some reason my pre-TR link is gone and so is my countdown! WTH? :confused3 i've never been warned about it and i have seen people with WAY more stuff in their signatures than me!

The way it works now is that it automagically cuts off anything that doesn't fit in the specified size of box. No warnings, just SNIP!

You may be able to rearrange your "stuff" to make your ticker fit. Try putting your text beside your photos instead of under them.

This stinks! I just went to try to take out some of the extra spaces. The "preview" had everything in there, all pretty. But now, stuff is missing. I guess I could take out my trip report links since I'm a loser and never finished either of them
