GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

It's not early this morning but at least I don't have to rush off anywhere!

Danielle....Glad your brother is OK. Tell me again what kind of heart procedure he had done? And um....RATS! :scared: The critters all know how good we have it inside...food, air conditioning. The word is out so they're all coming in!

Misty....Mouth pain is the worst kind! Do you have anything for the pain?!

Sandy
....:scared1: on the moving seeds! We had moths here too I hate to throw out food! Good job on the 6 pounds! What's your secret?

CELERY!!! You passed the 100 mark!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Kat
....Glad your crappy week is over! Hope next week's better. Way to stick to your guns on eating. Good job!

Did MJ check in yesterday?
Did I miss her? She's got to be nearing some big numbers too!

Where's Tara? Fidge?

Everybody else......:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY! :flower3:

Good morning Peeps!

EEYORE :Way to go 6#'s! UTAHMAMA: Snow? Isn't that the white fluffy stuff? It's been 17 years since it has snowed here in North Florida. We have had record rains here this week in 1 day we got 8 inches. Flooded roads and soggy grass. They had a parade in town today by the schools (literally closing off the main incoming roads to town, one of which is US HIGHWAY 1 :confused3 ... I found that out because I was trying to get INTO town to pick up the kids !) and yes, it also rained on our parade. It has been raining since Monday, with a solid 24 hours of rain on Tuesday, and more tomorrow. If this keeps up, I'm going to start looking for an Ark........:sad2: PAKEY : London and Paris???? My dream! Pictures please!

Why did I just now realize you are a Floridian? I'm down here in the south/Ft. Lauderdale area. Where in N. FLA are you? My dad is in Perry (very country) and near Tallahassee I think. Over on that side anyways.

It's been that kind of year. I had the moth invasion last month, and now our school has RATS! One pushed aside a piece of acoustical tile and poked it's head into the classroom after school today:scared1:
Why can't critters just stay out in nature?

My brother's new office is way out in what I like to call the "boonies". Anyhow, a couple weeks ago one of his secretaries was sitting at her desk when a rat crawled over her foot and bit it! Luckily she is okay medically but how freaked out would you be if you were sitting at your desk minding your own business and felt a furry rodent on your foot! :scared1:

DSIL is out of town so my mom and I are heading to a park with DB to hang out with the kiddos. Oh, and supervisor/internship placement lady never returned my email or call this week

Good Morning All! :goodvibes

Congratulations to all the losers & samers! :cool1: We rock!!!

Misty...I hope your mouth feels better.

Shannon...Sorry placement lady didn't call you back. :sad2: Sounds like you may just have to go to her office to work it out.

Sandy...Moving "seeds"??? :scared1: YUCK!!! I had the month infestation last month and threw out 3 garbage bags of food. Even some of the unopened boxes ended up having "larvae" in them. EWWW!! Hope you got rid of all of them.

Wendy...Snow?? Really??? Already??? Here in Buffalo, we are having an unusually warm fall. It's suppose to be 80 today!! I don't get it.

Dawn...Is your dress a fancy, going out kind of dress?? I am looking for another LBD for the cruise, since I'm not fitting in mine very well. :confused3 Maybe the 100 crunches a day will help!(That and my Spanx!);)

I have a baby shower today and one tomorrow, so it will be a busy weekend! I'll be very careful with my food choices. I've wrapped the one gift and need to run out and get a gift bag for the other one.

it's not really fancy. i could wear it to church if i wanted. its white, chocolate brown and teal. the brown and teal colors are in floral patterns, but big ones, not little ones. and the neck is a V-neck in both the front and back and there's a little sinched thing on the shoulders that you tie. it's got a wide brown band around the waist and then there's a little mesh ruffle thing underneath the hem that sort of sticks out the bottom to make it a little dressier. i wasn't sure about that at first, but then i decided i thought it was cute once i got it on. i'm sure i'll have pics after the wedding....you know i always do!

macy's and belk had LOTS of cute summer dresses on sale. so try there if you have any in your area. :thumbsup2

i'm off to take eli to the vet this morning. he's got to get weighed-in to see if his appetite suppressant is working. cross your fingers for him!

hi Peeps.. Stressful week but I think im down a pound, to much going on to even breathe I think

Good morning all. I know it's close to afternoon for all of you east coasters and I've said before, I'm not exactly an early riser!!! Today I'm off to my aunt's house. My cousin and BF is an only child. Her father died almost 4 years ago and her mother lives alone on 10 acres in a huge house. My cousin has been trying for 3 years to get her mother to sell the place because she can't take care of it and my cousin and her husband are tired of driving the 1 hour to her house to fix every little thing that happens. So last week my aunt said she was ready to sell and my cousin isn't going to let enough time go by for her to change her mind again. Today we start the cleaning and purging of 40 years of stuff. It's going to be 2 50 year olds and a 75 year old doing this. At least I'll get a workout from it.

And it looks to be a gorgeous day. Yesterday was the first day in almost 6 months we haven't ran the air conditioner.

Dawn, thanks for the words of encouragement regarding slow weight loss. You are right. I want to do this as a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. Sometimes I need to be reminded of that.

I hope everyone has a great day.

update on my fat doggie: eli was down .9 pound from 2 weeks ago. not much but when you only weigh 41 pounds to begin with it's a lot! the vet said our goal for this first 2 weeks was to lose 1.7 percent of his weight. that .9 pound was something like 2.19 percent, so he's ahead of schedule! the vet said it will probably take about a year to get him to goal weight, so it will be a slow process. maybe by this time next year i'll have a nice trim little dog instead of a pot-bellied pig in disguise!

oh, and one more thing...... GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!! they're playing georgia today and since i'm originally from tennessee and now live 20 miles from UGA's front door, i have to cheer for my home town team!

YAY for Eli!! :) That is good news..you should take before and after pics.lol.
Your dress you described in your previous post sounds super cute! Perhaps i will head to Macy's tommorow after all. I love the shoes/makeup/jewelery there and i have been staying away from clothes until i lose more weight, but hey, dresses can be taken in right! :)
Hope everyone is having a great saturday..it is HOT up here today..and humid..YUCK! Bring on crisp air..!

I was hoping to do a better job this week of responding to peeps posts but I have just gotten WAY TOO FAR BEHIND! I skimmed over the past few pages.

Congrats to all your losers!!:cool1:

I am doing extremely poorly in the healthy living catagory this past month or so. There are so many projects and deadlines that are distracting me from focus. I am making some small changes to gear up for a revival however. I took a pedometer to WDW out of curiosity. Since then I have been wearing it each day to get a measure of how active I am each day and setting little mini goals. Some days are better than others - just like my eating! I made a run to Sams club and loaded up on some of my favorite fruits & vegetables. Now I just need to bypass the junk and eat the healthy stuff.

The new baby pictures are adorable! Congrats on the new family member. The other kids look pretty excited about their new sister!

My family is headed out for a bike ride. I'm going to try to start my trip report from our Mommy & Me trip in September. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Yep, I forgot to add up the total weight lost this week (again)...

According to the early birds, the on-timers, and the LATE ones ;) and NOT adding mine and Melinda's gains...((drumroll please....))

18 (ish) pounds!!!!! YEAHHHHH!

I say "ish" because it was a smidge under 19. Like if one of us ate a carrot stick instead of a Ho-Ho, we'd have gotten to 19. BUT since I gained 2, I won't be finger wagging! :rolleyes1

I'm really down 2 lbs. this week! I thought it was a fluke on wed., but the scale still said it when I went to the gym today. :yay: I did 100 crunches on the ab machine, but is it cheating if I did 25 focused on the upper ab, then 25 on the lower ab, then 25 on the side obliques on each side? I just can't do 100 good ones going straight on. I also did 45 minutes on the elliptical.

Oh! Now I'm going to keep my feet up when I sit down at school (which doesn't happen very often).
Sorry to hear placement lady is falling down on the job. I hate when things are hanging fire.

I talked to DB today. They put a camera down his throat to look at his heart for blood clots (didn't find any:thumbsup2 ), then they put him on meds to bring his heart out of fibrillation. If they don't work by Monday, they'll have to shock him to try to do it.

The pedometer is a great idea. I find when I wear it, I'm more likely to make lots of little trips to keep moving. Sometimes I make a goal for myself, and if I haven't reached it by 8 p.m., I march in place while I watch TV to get to the goal. :thumbsup2 on the fruits and veggies. Baby steps, right?

Okay, so talk about LATE posts! I'm depressed anyway b/c weigh-in yesterday showed that I had GAINED .6 pound. Not much, I guess, but certainly not a loss.

I'm also depressed b/c my chronic foot problems mean that I need orthotics for my shoes (the word "orthotic" makes me feel absolutely geriatric - but I'm really only 28) and won't be able to walk for the next 3 weeks. I only have 4 more months until I'll be at WDW and I'm worried that I can't lose the weight I want to. I CAN ride a bike but it's a little tough on the lower back. I just love walking while listening to the DIS Unplugged Podcast...but since I can't walk I'll have to work around this.

Sorry I haven't posted much lately - we're adjusting to some big changes around here. BUT I'm sending love and magic and pixie dust to everybody!

And it was 84 degrees today. I'm ready for fall to hit MI with a bang! (Utah and Spongie, I think your cold front is headed my way!).

A couple of times this week when I didn't make my mini goal I took my mom's dog for a walk while I was waiting for the girls to get done at dance. And I have marched in place while watching TV - my kids think I'm crazy too! Sometimes it's a bargaining tool I use with myself - I'll watch whatever show as long as I march throughout the show. Great minds think alike!

OK!!!

according to the new development...we've hit -20 (ish) pounds!!!!

Thanks Dweatl!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

good idea! i wore mine at WDW while at MK and i walked almost 8 miles that day...:scared1: the next day at MGM i put it on my backpack and i don't think it worked right there because it said i walked like 20 miles. at MGM. i'm pretty sure that wasn't right!

THE VOLS BEAT GEORGIA TODAY!!!!! :woohoo:  sorry....it's a big game for me. i have to celebrate in every way i can.

now...just a warning. if vandy beats georgia next week, you will see ONE VERY HAPPY GIRL!!!!! i'm a HUGE vandy fan and it's really hard to be one since they never win! so when they do, especially against my next-door-neighbor rivals, i'm VERY happy!

WONDERS10: Hello fellow Floridian! I am up here in Jacksonville, actually right on the northern outside loop of the city. Our house used to be surrounded by a lot of cow dairies, but they have all closed up and made way for new housing developments. We got a good deal on some land a few years ago, and moved out of the "big city?"....well, I don't think of Jacksonville that way, but it sure seems like the crime has picked up. I have lived here all of my life (35yrs) -1 year and some summers spent living with an aunt and uncle near various navy bases. It is a 2 1/2 hour trip to Disney. We can leave here at 6 and get to rope drop! Well, in theory that would work...but we haven't quite been able to do that yet.:confused3 Maybe next time. I've been reading your logins for awhile now :coffee: and feel like I (almost) know you! "the boy", match.com, your jobs, and the absolutely frustrating placement lady. Oh, and you being auntie of the year taking the kiddos to Disney! Checking in here has gotten to be like reading the newspaper everyday, except it's not filled with politics and crime.

So, I swear, if it isn't one thing it's another. DH's laptop died yesterday, and he had a flat tire this morning. Work called this morning and I have to work Monday even though it is a holiday. Although I will get the day back at some point.

Good news, though... I found a 17" widescreen laptop, with mostly everything that we would want on it, at BestBuy for $600. I can't believe how much the price has gone down!!

Now, hopefully they can just fix DH's tire and we won't have to buy a new one.

I admit, yes, I fell off the wagon some last night. I ate healthy foods, just too much of them, and I drank too much. But considering my week, I don't feel too badly about it.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Just checking in to say hi!

Hope everyone has a great day!
