GOOOOOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Coooold here today! Wind gusts up to 45mph and 30ish degrees. I'm NOT cooking lunch at church today so I may actually get to attend my Sunday School class! YAY!!

Winkers.....People are so gullible! :rotfl2:

Danielle.....TEENAGERS! :scared: You know in one of our pastor's sermons he said.....new parents say things like "I don't want this baby to ever grow up and leave home. I just couldn't bear it." But God has a solution to that problem. He turns them into teenagers!

Faith, Jen, Laura, Punkin, everybody......:wave2:

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY!

And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.”
- Luke 1:46-47, 49

Funny that you brought that up. DD and DS headed off to Disneyland on their own yesterday. I was at my staff party getting things ready, and my phone rings. DD can't find her Annual Pass (which I had reminded her to pack the night before). We went through a whole bunch of drama. I knew I didn't have it, but she felt that it must be my fault. I told her to call DL to see what they could do, since the website said you had to be over 18 or with a legal guardian to replace it (she's 17 and 3/4). She didn't want to call, so she said she'd keep looking and hung up. Meanwhile, all my friends with tiny babies are looking at me in sheer terror: is this what their children will become? When I got off the phone I did say a prayer to St. Anthony that she would find it. She called about 5 minutes later, and had found it. I asked her where it had been. She said it was too hard to explain. That's teen speak for, "It was in my stuff somewhere but I can't actually admit it wasn't Mom's fault.":sad2:
Anyway, I've heard from them twice, and they are having a blast. I'm so jealous! DH says we can go in February, though. :cheer2:

My kids are little 8, 6 and 2 so I guess this is what I will be getting. It's always our fault right?

Update on Christi---it is not good. We do not have the official PET scan results, but they have told her DH that it is only a matter of weeks. This is the prayer that I am asking for---that when the Lord wants to take her home that her DH will have stength and comfort. We all know that this time is going to be hard and we ask for peace and the ability to accept the things that we just do not understand. She will be leaving behind 2 samll boys. Her DH lost his dad this past suummer and it was very hard on him since it was very unexpected. After that she insisted that they make a will. While he was looking for some papers the other night he came across the will and she had attached how she wanted her funeral to be. She had no clue she was sick. She even wrote her own obit. page including that she was survived by her parents. It was completely done to the point if needed he can just take it to the printer as is---every detail was covered and there will be almost no decisions for him to make. Her DH is now trying to prepare himself and then he will try and prepare the 5 year old.
I just want to thank yo all for your prayers.

Sorry about your pump, I know that when I used mine I cherished it. May I please ask who Christi is? I'm new here (a couple of weeks or at least a month I started posting). She and her family is in my prayers.

lexmelinda[/B Good morning to you too. Yeah that you get to go your Sunday school class today.

It's snowing here now. Got some ice and stuff last night, maybe an inch of that. Not sure how much to expect from the snow but here's winter I guess.

Laura :flower3:

Good morning peeps! Happy Sunday to everyone :goodvibes Hoping today goes better around here than yesterday did. DH will at least be here today though so who knows. It could go either way :rotfl: I did manage to get some of my baking done yesterday despite the rocky start. And DH found the remote last night :cool1: Took him about 30 minutes and then he had to laugh at me for not being able to find it all day  I told him my prayer to St Anthony made it re-appear where he could find it, he was not just a genious ;)

They will all be in my continued prayers. That is so difficult, I cant even imagine. Especially at this time of year. We lost my aunt (who was like a second mother to me)to cancer 3 yrs ago this past friday. She LOVED Christmas so it is especially hard to go through the season without her now.

Laura :flower3:

Christi is a friend of mine. I gave birth on September 30th and that weekend she had a bad headache. Not unuausal for her or me. Well on Monday, October 1st her Dr. sent her for a MRI. It showed a brain tumor. During the night it started leaking and they did emergency surgery on the 2nd. They did not expect her to make it through the surgery but she did. During the month of November she was able to talk and communicate and even see her kids. She got a 1 day pass to go home for TG--then about 2 weeks ago she started running a high fever and they did not know why. The fever broke but she just isn't improving and becoming very lethargic. So that is why they ordered a PET--why they did not do one originally I do not know.

I almost cried last Sunday--her DH brought the boys to church and the 1 year old cried at being left--the 5 year old looked down and said--don't cry we get to go see MOMMY today. It just broke my heart.

I just want to thank yo all for your prayers.

 heather, i'm so sorry to hear all this. how sad. christi and her friends and family will be in my thoughts and prayers. i wish there were words i could say to make you feel better but i know there's not. i will be praying for all of you.

Coooold here today! Wind gusts up to 45mph and 30ish degrees.

it's cold and windy here, too! i was hoping the warm weather would last longer but no such luck. i know.......i shouldn't complain because i know our peeps up north have had much worse weather than us. i just HATE cold weather. i could never live north of tennessee!!! the wind was blowing so hard earlier this morning that it knocked our power out. not for long though.....just long enough to mess all my clocks up! it's 37 degrees here but the wind chill is 27.....:scared1:

well, i had my LAST (thank goodness) christmas party last night. there were lots of bad things there.......these rice krispie/white chocolate things, brownies, spinach dip and honeybaked ham!!! so i'm sure next week will not be good either. i'm still trying for that 130-pound goal though.....darn it!

Hey Peeps! Sorry I'm LATE in posting my weigh in info. The scale said I was up .6 lbs. :( I am getting in my exercise - lots of it. And I'm being careful about what I'm eating, although I'm sure I could be a bit more careful this time of year. My goal this next week is to keep things under control in the midst of all the holiday food that will be shoved in my face. I haven't been doing badly. I just need to keep things in check. And I have two holiday luncheons this week! :scared1:

Anyway, I've heard from them twice, and they are having a blast. I'm so jealous! DH says we can go in February, though. :cheer2:

Wish we could have worked out a meet for when we are going to be there, but have fun at your retreat, and have fun at DL in February! :goodvibes

 and prayers being sent out to Christi and her family. That is such a difficult situation.

Monica! We MAY end up in WDW at the same time again! :yay: We are still working it out. I don't think any definite decisions will be made until we return from DL in January, but we are THINKING about leaving on Thanksgiving again for WDW next year. If the flying thing goes OK for DH in January, we MIGHT still fly down for a long weekend in September, but like I said, no definite plans YET. I'll keep y'all posted. :) Oh, and I can't wait to see pics of the new kitchen!

Good Day All!

Cold, snowy and windy here! We are in the house forthe day! Lots of baking and decorating in the plans!

My prayers are with Christy and her family. This will be a tough Christmas for her DH. I'll praying for peace for both of them.

Off to do some work around here! Happy Day!!!

Heather  I am so sorry to hear that about your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

punkin413 Yeah for no more Christmas parties. Sounds like good stuff they had there.

I am so upset :sad1: I went to look at the travel channel to see when the WDW holiday show was on tonight (Melinda I think it was her, said it was on tonight at 8 pm) Well guess what, here in CT it was on from 12 to 1 pm, I looked at the TV channel at 1, it was over. Boo-hoo. It's cold here today too, around 30 degrees. DH is taking the boys sledding behind the school, there is a big hill. We didn't get much snow a lot rain, sleet and all kinds of yucky stuff only snowed for maybe an hour so or. I am finally making my turkey I bought from Thanksgiving. They never have left overs at the house we go at so I bought myself a turkey this year and finally thawed the big guy out yesterday and today. Can't wait til tonight. Gotta go put the baby down for a nap, talk to you all later.

it shows anything that's going to be on TV for the next days that has anything at all to do with disney! it's great.....i check it about once a week. that samantha brown special (which is what i think you're referring to) is going to be on quite a few more times, so i'm sure you'll be able to see it. i watched it the other night and it made me want to go to WDW during the holidays even more!!!

Oy!

What a weekend. I had a horrible headache all day yesterday and I still have it slightish today. i'm feeling like my vision is off today. The periphial is affected. Took some motrin, we will see.

We got a foot of snow yesterday. School was cancelled for today last night.
Thanks for finally sharing the snow Wendy.

I think Maddy has an ear infection. Back to the Dr. we go today.

Got the kitchen almost in order.

We bought a 9 piece "gathering" set. It gets delivered today.

Just a few more touches and it will be done. The contractor must of picked up the bug here?:rolleyes1 He wasn't feeling too hot Friday and over the weekend. I rather he finish feeling goog.

That thing worked with the oven. I cleaned it the best I could. When I used it, it did set off the smoke alarm, but I'm hoping it's the rest just burning off.

I have so much to read.

Sorry to hear about your headache. DH suffers from migraines and he's usually down for the count in bed all day. Glad the kitchen is almost done. I would gladly have the contractor not be in my house if he's not feeling so good, you don't want it going around your house. Can't wait to see pictures.

We have a 90 minute delay today because of ice.
I have to go to the post office for stamps to send out my cards. I guess I will still go after the boys get on the bus. We're supposed to get more snow on Wednesday and some other days this week. We shall see.

Have a good Monday everyone. I'll check back later on tonight.

Good Morning Peeps!

What a weekend!! I met with my personal trainer for the first time on Saturday and I thought I was going to die. I foolishly believed I was in decent, not fabulous, but decent shape. I was hugely mistaken. I could barely walk on Sunday. She introduced me to strength training bands. OMG, who knew?! I thoguht, whatever, I need to use free weights.:sad2: Those bands are killer. If you are interested in the workout she gave me PM me and I will send it to you. Good stuff I tell ya.

Sunday was cold and windy so we hibernated and baked cookies. My 3 yo helped so it took forever but it was fun:goodvibes.

DisneyObcession, :thumbsup2 for POR! That is our backup resort for next November if we aren't DVC members by that time. My cousin stays there every year and loves it. it is just beautiful.

Monica, So when will your kitchen officially be finished? I don't blame you for not wanting the contractor working while he is ill. More germs = BAD. I hope Maddy is feeling better soon.

Dawn, Thanks for the DW shows website! That is very helpful. I saw the Samantha Brown special and loved the castle all decked out in "ice". Just amazing! :cloud9:

Pakey, No worries about the 1lb. It will be gone in no time. I hope you are feeling well.

Heather, I am so sorry to read about your friend, Christi. That is so heartbreaking. Her poor boys, I can't even fathom what her family must be going through. They are in my thoughts and prayers and so are you.

UM, I hope you like the books. Like I said, they aren't as good as Anne Rice by any means, but entertaining nonetheless. It will provide you with a fix until your next book arrives.

Laura, The luncheon wasn't nearly as bad I expected. There were a surprising number of vegetarian choices this year so I ate more than I should have. Oh well. I am back on track today. I hope you are enjoying all of that snow. Feel free to send some to Maryland :) .

Dance, I love my DVR as well. The only time I get to watch anything is when the kiddos are in bed so unless I DVR it I don't see it. I lost all control with my first pregancy and gained 54lbs...:scared1: Then as soon as I had almost gotten down to my pre-baby weight I got pregnant again. I was more careful this time and gained 35. Much easier to lose that than 54.

Winkers, :rotfl2: thanks for the laugh!!

Danielle, I am NOT looking forward to the teenage years. Three is no picnic at times but at least I am still the all-knowing mommy. Once he hits 13 I will be a drooling, know nothing, idiot in his eyes.

Ok, I need to post my week's goals to keep me on track:
1. Stick with 1200 calories a day (no chocolate!)
2. Drink at lest 64 but preferably 72oz of H2O a day.
3. Get to the gym three times this week before meeting with Personal trainer on Saturday.

Have a great day!
Kim

I read the first one last night in one sitting. Didn't move out of the chair for anything (DH watched Gladiator, a nice long movie so I had peace and quiet). I called my cousin this morning to see if she'd be done with the second one by the time we meet up tomorrow and she said no. Dang it. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be the fastest reader. Now I'll have to wait until next week sometime to get book 2.

SEE???? It IS the bestest! Go check out Twilightmoms.com too! It'll tide you over. The movie isn't till Dec. 08! They just cast the kid who played Cedric on Harry Potter as Edward...which I'm not too sure about. He IS cute and he's a GREAT actor, but I'm not sure about him playing Edward. We'll see.

Book 2 (New Moon) is GREAT too. My tip is to feed your family first, and get any incidental chores done first...

I'm really glad you liked em! Spongie is making us a Bella bracelet (you'll know what that is soon) which I'll totally wear all day!

I'm following you wendy.......tee hee

Don't think badly of me, but I am boycotting X-mas cards this year.

I had no time to do them. My house was a wreck until last night. There's still a few boxes to transfer the things back to where they belong. I hate to rush/settle for a picture. I still have tile to lay. I just am busy.

Maybe after Christmas I'll send something to wish in the new year.

I couldn't help myself, I begged my cousin to read faster. So yesterday pm, she showed up at my house with New Moon but then she sternly told me that she wasn't pulling another all nighter on Book 3 and I'll just need to cool my heels a bit and make Book 2 last me until this next weekend. I was very good and didn't start on New Moon until after DH went to bed last night. Then I stayed up until midnight and read the first few hundred pages. I had to force myself to stop and go to bed. Of course, I was late to work this morning because I overslept. The book is out in my car. I can hear it calling my name. I have a doctor's appt this pm so I'm actually not going to complain about having to sit in the lobby 2 hours waiting on the doctor. :rotfl:

My cousin and I did spend at least an hour discussing Edward and what we thought he looked like. I'm not sure about that movie casting. We were going more towards the Ashton Kucher look.

Well at least I have these good books to read because I'm certainly not doing well on the diet. Another gift basket just showed up here at work full of boxes of different types of chocolate. We get tons of gift baskets here. It's brutal. Worse than the Halloween candy.

Hey everyone!
Just a quickie to let you all know I am thinking of you, sending prayers where needed and overall good thoughts.
i have NOT been Peeplike..Exercise wise I am totally fine..eating wise..NOPE..and as far as water goes, i have been super slacking! I used to be so good when I worked, filling up my Nalgene twice a day, but now that i dont' have a set schedule, my water intake has gone down the tubes..thank GOD i start working next month again..for alot of reasons.
ANYHOO>....hope all is well..we are off to visit a friend in the Hospital that just had a baby..another boy....this is the 4th boy born to someone we know this year..tis the season ! :)

Purina Dog Food Diet

The next time someone asks you a dumb question wouldn't you like to respond like this...
>
> Yesterday I was buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for Athena the wonder dog at Wal-Mart and was about to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again although, I probably shouldn't, because I'd ended up in the hospital last time. On the bright side though, I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's
butt and a car hit us both.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard!
...................................................................................................

So who's up for the dog food diet???:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: How did I miss this??? :rotfl2:

Thanks for this site!! Unfortunately, it is blocked here at work, but I'll check it out when I get home.

It is very snowy here, but beautiful! I  the way my Christmas lights look on my house with the snow! However, I really do not like driving in it! People are nuts!!!

UM & Pakey...Another good trilogy on vampires is by Nora Roberts. The first book is called "Morrigans Cross". I am re-reading these after all the talk on here about the vampire books. I can't remember the other 2 titles, but I'll let you know when I get home.:thumbsup2

stick with it! you WANT to be sore. that means your muscle is rebuilding itself better and stronger and firmer! i hate being sore but anna (my BF/fitness trainer) always goes, "that's awesome" when i complain about it. also, i know you think i'm crazy, but try repeating the moves you did saturday but in smaller movements - it will help work some of that acid that's built up in your muscles out. :thumbsup2

i got all excited when i logged on to the DIS a few minutes ago because dates have been released for more P&PPs in may and that's when i was hoping for! then i called to order my tickets and they're not on sale yet. what a tease!!!!!

WHEEEEEE Pirate and Princess Party!! I would totally want to go to that..I hope you get tickets soon..Disney is a big tease ;)

( OH..self promotion..I finally updated my report with Day 2..if anyone is interested :) )

remember that christmas band concert i was talking about last week? well, i finally got around to uploading the very short video i took of it today. check him out.......a future award-winning trumpet player in the making! if you don't remember, this is DH's nephew playing in his first-ever middle school band concert. he's in the 6th grade. he's the second one from the left, wearing jeans and playing the trumpet. don't worry.....the video's not that long so the musical torture doesn't last that long!
