All right, here's the Christmas Goal update from the past two weeks. (And again, if I've missed anyone or recorded you wrong, please correct me!)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks WIDF!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I doubt if I will be back until Monday.

:santa: Kim

Vampire Fans, you can check out the Laurel Hamilton series as well. I didn't like her writing style nearly as much as Anne Rice but it is a Vampire story nonetheless. It might be worth a trip to the library. I just ordered the Twilight series for myself. A me-to-me gift:goodvibes

Have a good day peeps!

I need something to tide me over after reading Eclipse (book 3 in the Twilight series)...I found a website like this called Twilightmoms.com and read a fanfic from a member called Amy16 (who is a mom) and she wrote her version of the wedding of Bella and Edward and the reception and wedding night AND her "changing." It was pretty good.

I'll have to check out your suggestion!

After you get your Twilight books, you won't be around here much, GUARANTEED! Something worth sinking your teeth into (pun intended). :cool2:

Oh how funny:

Our total Losses so far: 6.0 (thanks D.O.!)

Our Gains (which don't count :rolleyes1 ) 6.0

We need a HERO!!!!!!!!

HockeyKat :thumbsup2 I'm glad it's friday too.

born2bird So sorry for you about the luncheon thing. Maybe that's a good thing that you don't want to eat anything. :thumbsup2 Good job on the weight loss.

DisneyObsession That's awesome about your trip.

monymony3471 So cool about your remodel being done. I can't wait to see pictures.

punkin413 I am not going to reach my goal either, we'll get them after the holdiays. So glad you're going to see Enchanted. I want to see that so bad, but no to go with.

Have a nice friday night everyone. Supposed to snow here in CT again tomorrow into Sunday.

Laura:flower3:

if you get some time with no kids and no husband (which i know is very rare for most of us!), go by yourself! it's liberating. take a couple of hours and have some "you" time. it's a great movie, especially if you're a disney fan!!!

Good Early Morning Peeps!
It's 1:30 am here & I'm up trying to get stuff packed. We are leaving around noon instead of waiting until Sunday. A storm front will be moving through in the evening & is expected to drop 2-4 inches of snow. We don't want to chance throwing our schedule off & so we're leaving a day earlier than we had plan. That gives me approx. 10 1/2 hours to get everything done. In-laws are coming in the morning for a pancake breakfast & to bring the kids their presents. We are also letting them open gifts in the morning (Santa will bring them a stocking Christmas Day at DW ;) ). Tomorrow night we will be staying in Knoxville, Tn. Sunday night in Tifton, GA and then we'll arrive at DW on Monday. I'll post in the morning before we leave. I'm going to try to get a few more things done & then go to bed. Later.

I've been thinking of you, Fran. Every time the forcast gets worse and worse! Will Knoxville get you south of the snow? Drive on through to Florida on Sunday if you can and stay just north of the Turnpike.

My Best Driving Tip....Take SR-429 (south) off the turnpike! It brings you in on the west side of Disney and it's deserted! Just 14 miles off the turnpike to the arches! It's a greaaaaaat shortcut! We've taken it the last two years.

Have a safe and wonderful first trip, Fran!!!!

We expect a full report when you get back!

oh, i'm so excited for you!!!! when you're just north of atlanta on I-75 around acworth/kennesaw and heading towards atlanta, look to your left and wave!!!! i'm about 40 miles east of there. by the way, i hope you know to use the bypass instead of going straight through downtown atlanta (unless of course you're interested in seeing downtown). sometimes mapquest doesn't tell you that. although on a sunday you probably won't hit much traffic either way. i don't know when you're coming back, but if it's on a weekday, TAKE THE BYPASS!!!!! anyway, if you're heading south towards florida get on I-285 (it's either South or West...i can't remember which way they have it labeled) towards macon, i think. on the way home, you'll want to take I-285 either north or west, depending on how they have it labeled, towards chattanooga.

and take melinda's advice below!!! we went this way last time and it was awesome! no one on the road and we were there in no time.

Hi peeps...just checking in! I have been reading along but I keep forgetting to quote until I have gone about 5 pages and then just give up

Safe travels Fran! Tell Mickey I said hi :goodvibes

Not alot new in my neck of the woods. Icky day outside and DD and I had planned to bake cookies and stuff all day. Well, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed and has spent a good part of the morning in her room. (her choice, not mine, but she is better off there...trust me) I was really looking forward to this today, but I am better off to let her get this out of her system before trying to make the millions of cookies I had planned. And somehow, in the midst of one of her meltdowns, she lost the remote to the DVR :scared1: I have torn the room apart and have no idea where she could have put it. I am gonna go nuts without my DVR, and there is no way to operate it without the remote!

Not feeling very peeplike lately either. I guess part of me is in the 'just eat it, you're pregnant and it is Christmas' mindset. Not a good place to be. But, my weight gain is still very low compared to most people (10 pounds)so I think that is why I am justifying it in my head. I need to give myself a good kick in the pants and remember the less I gain above what I HAVE to gain, the less I have to lose later, right?! I dont mean dieting or anything, just not eating needless junk. Nobody needs to eat a whole tray of fudge or cookies....not that I have, but boy the temptaion is there.:sad2:

To Everyone:

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help. I know that we will have an awesome time & I do appreciate the help that each of you have given. We're getting ready to pull out. Once again thanks and I can't wait to get back to tell you all about it. BYE!!!!!!!! :wave2:

Merry Christmas!!!! We'll be back on the 28th. :santa:

I read the first one last night in one sitting. Didn't move out of the chair for anything (DH watched Gladiator, a nice long movie so I had peace and quiet). I called my cousin this morning to see if she'd be done with the second one by the time we meet up tomorrow and she said no. Dang it. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be the fastest reader. Now I'll have to wait until next week sometime to get book 2.

dance, sorry your DD is being difficult.

I am so jealous of the WDW trip... would be great to get away. Have I mentioned my general distaste for the holidays?

I made a great lunch today... took two 100 calorie English muffins, split them, and lightly toasted them. Opened a can of tuna and mixed in about 1/2 TBSP of mayo and salt/pepper. Spread the tuna on the muffin halves, and put them on a cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for about 8-10 minutes, then sprinkled some 2% milk sharp cheddar on top and melted it (2-3 more min). 350 calories or so and yummy.

Thanks for posting that! I used to make those all the time when I was a kid, havent had them in ages. That is gonna be dinner I think. DH is working late so it is just me and DD tonight. We used to make them on bagels too.

Purina Dog Food Diet

The next time someone asks you a dumb question wouldn't you like to respond like this...
>
> Yesterday I was buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for Athena the wonder dog at Wal-Mart and was about to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again although, I probably shouldn't, because I'd ended up in the hospital last time. On the bright side though, I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's
butt and a car hit us both.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard!

I think I might have to do this. Don't know when though, it's supposed to snow tomorrow here and be all yucky and next weekend National Treasure Book of Secrets comes out and me and DH are going to that. So we shall see.

My aunt always tells me to pray to St Anthony to help you find something and I swear it always works for me.

My friend made this for me for lunch one day when we were visiting but used turkey instead of the tuna. Quite tasty.

So funny. A couple of years ago, I was in the market buying 6 pillow-sized bags of popcorn, and a lady asked me if I was having a party. I told her no, I was on the popcorn diet. People:confused:

My aunt always tells me to pray to St Anthony to help you find something and I swear it always works for me.
Funny that you brought that up. DD and DS headed off to Disneyland on their own yesterday. I was at my staff party getting things ready, and my phone rings. DD can't find her Annual Pass (which I had reminded her to pack the night before). We went through a whole bunch of drama. I knew I didn't have it, but she felt that it must be my fault. I told her to call DL to see what they could do, since the website said you had to be over 18 or with a legal guardian to replace it (she's 17 and 3/4). She didn't want to call, so she said she'd keep looking and hung up. Meanwhile, all my friends with tiny babies are looking at me in sheer terror: is this what their children will become? When I got off the phone I did say a prayer to St. Anthony that she would find it. She called about 5 minutes later, and had found it. I asked her where it had been. She said it was too hard to explain. That's teen speak for, "It was in my stuff somewhere but I can't actually admit it wasn't Mom's fault.":sad2:
Anyway, I've heard from them twice, and they are having a blast. I'm so jealous! DH says we can go in February, though. :cheer2:

Yesterday was the longest day of my life--I think. DD had a swim meet 1.5 hours away and we had to be there at 9 and was supposed to be able to leave around 3. Well they had technical difficulties all day long and we left around 5. We had plans to meet up with some friends to go look at Christmas lights and we were late to that. By the time we visited and stuff we got home aroundc 10:30. DH's mom watched Joshua for us yesterday and lets just say he got into some things that he was not supposed to like my pump (I pump 2x's a day at work) and it is not working properly. :scared1: No telling what she was doing. We get out on Friday and I am soooo looking forward to it. DH is gone most of the week and I am not looking forward to that.

Update on Christi---it is not good. We do not have the official PET scan results, but they have told her DH that it is only a matter of weeks. This is the prayer that I am asking for---that when the Lord wants to take her home that her DH will have stength and comfort. We all know that this time is going to be hard and we ask for peace and the ability to accept the things that we just do not understand. She will be leaving behind 2 samll boys.

Her DH lost his dad this past suummer and it was very hard on him since it was very unexpected. After that she insisted that they make a will. While he was looking for some papers the other night he came across the will and she had attached how she wanted her funeral to be. She had no clue she was sick. She even wrote her own obit. page including that she was survived by her parents. It was completely done to the point if needed he can just take it to the printer as is---every detail was covered and there will be almost no decisions for him to make.

Her DH is now trying to prepare himself and then he will try and prepare the 5 year old.

I just want to thank yo all for your prayers.
