has anyone here ever tried an at-home doggie diet for their doggies? as in you feed them whatever you think is right instead of just dog food? i seriously don't think the appetite suppressant is working for eli. he's been on it since september and has lost NOTHING. i found a dog calorie calculator online and figured out he needs 630-730 calories per day to maintain a weight of 35 pounds (right now he weighs 42 - figured 35 could be our first goal!). easy enough, right? nope! i didn't think about it but dog foods have all sort of vitamins and nutrients and to be able to incorporate that into a diet myself is a bit overwhelming. anyone ever done this before?
monica - the kitchen looks great!
wendy - apricots, huh? i'm going to the store tomorrow to get stuff to bake cookies with (WHY?????? i know! but it's christmas and DH has already asked about my famous chocolate cherry chunkies a few times) so i may have to pick some of those apricots up for weigh-in on friday!
