Punkin....How was the concert?

The only thing worse than a middle school band concert is and elementary school band concert. I've been to lots of those!
it was okay. not as painful as i thought. it was a choral show too and the singing was way worse than the band. a couple of times i looked at ray and had to literally cover my mouth to keep from being totally rude and laughing out loud. his expressions were cracking me up!
on the way there ray's mom called us and asked if we had a key to her house because josh had forgotten his sheet music. ray didn't have the key so his stepdad had to leave the church (where the concert was) and go back to their house to find it. meanwhile, ray and i arrived at the church and when we got there, i asked josh if someone else had the same sheet music he did. he said yes and then i found someone that worked at the church and they let me borrow the copy machine to make a copy of the music. DUH?!????

sometimes i just don't get his family! common sense, anyone????
Mr Kat and I have been having some marital problems, but I think that perhaps things have taken a turn for the better last night.
sorry to hear this....hope things get better! we all hit bumps in the road. i've been there!
okay....i'm going to vent here just a second to you guys. yesterday i spent an hour on the phone trying to figure out why i'm still paying $53 a month for birth control pills when i should have hit my $500 prescription deductible back in october. i literally had to say to this person, "hold on. are you listening to me? just listen to the words that are coming out of my mouth!!!!" it was like talking to a brick wall....the must frustrating conversation i've ever had.

this is just an excerpt:
me: okay. so you're telling me that it's showing i've only spent $82 this year in prescriptions?
her: correct.
me: that's not right. i've spent at least $53 every month on prescription costs.
her: well, it shows here that you haven't gotten your birth control refilled since february.
me: okay. so is my pharmacy not doing something they should be doing in order to let you guys know when i get them filled? because i get them filled every single month.
her: it's only showing that you got them filled in january and february.
me: i understand that. SHOULD my pharmacy have been doing something that they're not to let you know when i get them filled?
her: we only show that you got them filled in january and february.
me: are you kidding me right now? okay....i'm not trying to be rude, but listen to my question. SHOULD MY PHARMACY BE DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAT THEY'RE NOT DOING TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW I'M GETTING THEM FILLED???????????
her: but i only show that you got them filled in january and february.
seriously.....is this woman for real? anyway, now i'm having to fill out a form for reimbursement so they can pay me back what i've paid over my deductible (about $100) and i had to get a list from my pharmacist of all the medications i've paid for this year.
on top of that my insurance is awful. i think i have like a $4,000 deductible and i pay like $128 a month. the monthly payment's not bad but the coverage is. to get decent coverage i have to pay out the wazoo. what's so frustrating about it is that i NEVER go to the doctor! i go once a year to the gyno and MAYBE once or twice a year for a cold, if that. AND i don't have ANY maternity coverage...none. so no babies for me anytime soon! i'm self-employed so i don't have a choice as far as buying my own, except to go on DH's insurance and the cost of that is ridiculous. it costs the same to put me on his insurance as it would to put five kids on there......how does that make sense????? anyway, i'm just really frustrated about the whole thing right now and i think the whole medical insurance thing is a crock.
vent over. sorry to whine. i'm not usually one to complain but i had to get that off my chest!
