Just checking in very quickly, I have lots of reading to do when I get home! Can't wait to weigh in and check the damage!

We stayed at MK until closing yesterday and planned to drive the 9 - 10 hours home. We only made it 3 hours down the road to Lake City. We are about to check out and head home.

Talk to you guys tonight!

Fidge... please post often... ;) I think you know why... :rolleyes1[/QUOTE]

Ahhh its too see Donald, Stich or Darth Vader right????;)

Here's a Saturday AM question to get you going...

How much might the er... "girls":Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc add to one's weight?! it ocurred to me last night that I've gone up a cup and a half on my latest BC pills and maybe they're responsible for that pesky couple of pounds I just can't shake. Or am I just making excuses to get me out of exercising?!

And I know what you're thinking - yes I did try to weigh them. It didn't work; I just fell over on the bathroom floor. :rotfl:
I'll leave you with that lovely image to contemplate as you go about your day...

When I've been on the pill, I gain a-lot! Like 20 pounds! :scared:

Mine dont add much at all! When I was at my goal weight (for 5 minutes to take the "after" picture ;) ) I am a roomy padded A. I prefer SMALL to large.

I am a pear, so I'm SITTING on my extra weight! :rotfl2:

I LOVED what you said about accepting (word used loosely) that we have to actually WORK at this! You CRACK me up!

I have a funny feeling Grumydude is gonna enjoy this conversation!

Me I haven't weighed the girls but I am sure your DH would be happy to guess their weight !!! I am sure he would need to check them first though for accuracy!!! Now that would put a smile an a husbands face in the morning !!

OK as for BC , I have not been on it in eons...but Dr said it would increase my weight by 3-4 lbs at that time at 120 I was tramatized !!!!:rotfl: If I recall correctly Dr said it levels its self out after soemtime. Not positve but know about the increase!
LOL, well there's no DH, but if, say, George Clooney or Brad Pitt wants to help a girl out... :rotfl2:
The "experts" keep saying the Pill does not cause weight gain, but I KNOW I'm a couple of pounds heavier on it, all other factors staying the same. 10 to 1 the "experts" are male.
Princess V...I swear that the 7 pounds I have lost all came off my chest. The "girls" :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc look like deflated balloons ! I am starting to look like a 13 year old boy ! What pills are you taking ? I am on Brevicon and I wonder if I change would it inflate the girls a bit ????
That's the first place I loos it, too. Which really ticks me off, becuase it's the one place I want some extra weight!
Hey, I tried Brevicon and mine got smaller, too! I'm on Yaz now and I love it. OthroTriCyclen Low had the same effect, but my insurance stopped covering it.

Mine dont add much at all! When I was at my goal weight (for 5 minutes to take the "after" picture ;) ) I am a roomy padded A. I prefer SMALL to large.

Ditto for me. Off the pill, and at my best weight, I'm like an A-. On the pill, I'm close to busting out of a B.
Ohterwise, ALL of my weight goes to my rear end and thighs. The upside is it's easily camouflaged. the downside, of course, is it's soooo hard to lose.

LOL Hi grumpy!!

I say GO FOR IT!!!! GEORGE CLOONEY or BRAD PITT its always best to get a 2nd opinion!! Very smart!!!!

Does anyone have suggestions for an accurate scale? I threw out the digital one because I'm pretty sure I didnt lose and regain 20 lbs stepping on and off it. I just dont know which is a good brand. The WW ones had some bad reviews on Amazon so I am little leery to buy one. Any ideas?

What is it the guy says in The Devil Wears Prada.....0 is the new 2, and 2 is the new 4 and 6 is the new....14.:rotfl2:

:confused3 Am I just confused why do womens clothes have a size 0,2,4,6,14 anyway. Is anyones waist really 2 inches or even 14 inches?????? With mens clothes the size is the Sizei.e. if you wear a 42 then your waist is 42" I know it is complicated but it works for us.:teacher:

First of all, :welcome: to our little party:

I have Tanita scale. It is very accurate. It also figures your % of body fat. I don't know how accurate that is, but the weight is. When I went to WW meetings, it would be the same weight. It is model 2001. I have had it for a while.

You are going to like it here. This is a great group of ladies, and one hunky, funny dude! ;)

GLENDA.........I saw your tag yesterday....you must've gotten it after you went to bed. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

BTW....I appreciate you all not burnin up 8 pages while I was asleep last night. So much easier to catch up.

NEW NEBO installment up this morning. FOFF!!!

I WAS BAD LAST NIGHT....that giant Heath bar that was in my stocking at Christmas finally lured me in. I did share with DD13.

Also same DD baked a chess pie the night before last. Do you know chess pie? Is it a regional delicacy?? My friend from Boston laughs at our pie...says in New England they can afford to put berries in their pies.

Anyway...chess pie is just sugar, butter, eggs basically. And it's GOO-OOOO-OOOD. That's right....3 syllables. So I had to have...a little.

Confession over.....

HAVE A SKINNY DAY....JUST SAY "NO" TO CHESS PIE!!!!

Never heard of chess pie but is sounds goo-oooo-oood :cloud9: and dangerous :scared1:

Hello. I am not exactly sure where to post but I am starting over AGAIN. I need to lose at least 72 lb-125lbs but the doctor says it needs to be not more than 1-2 lbs per week or I will get sicker. I had recent emergency gall bladder surgery and got diagnosed with a fatty liver just before the holidays.I feel so overwhelmed. I met with a size zero nutritionist(can being that skinny really be any healthier than being overweight?) and she lectured me about how she could not understand how I could let myself get so fat especialy since I am a nurse. I left there feeling chastised, reprimanded and embarrassed. Truth is I have no idea how I got to be this size but it is actually killing me now so I have to loose the weight and I have to try again NOW. My first thought was I cant do this. I feel like a big moose.I basically need to lose the size of a 10 yr old. How the heck did that happen! Anyway, I expect I will be needing advice, ideas, motivation etc during what looks to be a really big challenge. Am I in the right place?:confused3
Well good for the nutritionist. (here is where I would really like to put what I think of the nutritionist however this is Disney) Anway Look what she can say. Here is what I will say. Consider yourself in the right place these folks are awesome and supportive to each other. So feel safe and post anything you want to discuss everyone will help you. Coming from my perspective I have gone from 586 pounds to my current 343 pounds (I am 6'6"). It doesn't matter how you got here just where you are going. You can't change history only the future. YOU CAN DO THIS !!!!! :cheer2: :grouphug: :woohoo: :wizard:

I like the one at Sharper Image and right now it is only $20 with any additional purchase. Also it goes up to 396 pounds, is as acurate as the doctor's scale, it is about half as thick and half as heavy as any other scale so you can take it with you. Just a thought.

SnowwhiteYou are in the right place!!! THe days I am feeling discouraged I get kindness and a gentle loving push in the right direction! WE all want each other to FEEL GOOD about ourselves!

I get great ideas and pointed out some things that I did not even think about that are obstacles. For me this is learning a new way of doing things that improve me mind body and soul!

We learn how to dodge the little green goblins AKA Girl scouts wielding boxes full of fat and big ole thigh bulkers!

I also learn how even if my dog locks me out of my car and complete insantiy errupts I do not have to go and eat some girl scout cookies!

There is some great tools given here if I use them!!! Its a pink toolbox...but don't tell Grumpy man hes the man about this thread!!!

I will be looking up some of the recipes and ladies I might even work on some colon blowing recipes this weekend!!!!

I am all about the colon blow!!!
Those little scouts already got me. I did get the ones that are 2 points on WW.
I think I will skip the colon blowing for now:rotfl: I just had surgery so my guts need a rest:lmao:
I didnt realize how many riddlers were here too. I feel at home already:)

WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO about time woman!

:welcome: Don't get discouraged. Although these people are professional and know how to eat properly, no one can get an education in being nice. That's a trait people are born with. This place is 100% loving, understanding, and supportive. You can't be a size 2 all your life and have empathy for us larger people it just doesn't work that way. Filter out the garbage and take with you what you can use to your benefit, the rest you need, you'll find here.

Isn't if funny how your body reacts different each pregnancy? Maybe you have twins? :lmao: :grouphug:

If I had a dollar for every person who said that. I just want one healthy baby. And I stress healthy!

Yikes! Then she'd have to think of 2 "Z" names with 7 letters each!!!!

I think I'd need one z name and one m name. That would fit the pattern better.

They say the worse the pregnancy, the better the baby! :cutie:

My pregnancy with Malorie was great until the end, and she is my best behaved baby by far!

I just had the BEST workout..:yay: .I took my kids sledding at this HUGE hill near my house. OMG... walking up the hill has pure torture. Going down was such a blast...and my DD6 and DS4 LOVED it What a great afternoon. :cloud9:

My plan for this weekend is to do as much physical activity outside as possible, sledding, maybe cross country sking...it is so much fun that I forget its good for me.

Monica...I really hope you feel better soon. When will you be at the 12 week mark ? Usually that is the turning point for morning sickness. Hang in there ! :)

I think I'm right at 8 weeks right now.

Last night I went to urgent care. I have a bladder infection on top of all this. Could explain alot. Once the antibiotic kicks in, I should be feeling much better I hope.

Ok, off to rest. I just wrote my english paper, typed up my notes from American Politics, and retyped the study guide. Later I have another chapter to read in English and will quiz myself.

Rest, isn't it so funny when a Dr. orders you to rest? It's always hard to suppress a laugh.

Hi!How do you keep from getting overwhelmed? I keep giving up. I lose one lb and gain 2 it seems. I feel like a yo-yo.Ugh.

It does get overwhelming... however, one day at a time... and when we get down.... we have each other!!!

YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

Hi!How do you keep from getting overwhelmed? I keep giving up. I lose one lb and gain 2 it seems. I feel like a yo-yo.Ugh.

Hi Snowwite....Bee and I are married. We do this together. It is important if you have a significant other to get them on board with it. Another thing we find is that you have to make a life change not a DIET...there is nothing pleasant about that word. You just have to take baby steps and keep moving forward. Start by clearing your cupboards and get a really good cookbook (try the biggest loser we both love that one. Amazon.com is a great place to get it about $30 for that and the dining out guide I believe). I would suggest getting a few key cooking items then go to the store. Make sure you read EVERY label. Another tip is get some of those prepackaged snacks they aren't not "diet" but they are packaged 100 calories each so you can snack safely that way without (my problem) deovouring the whole bag/box. Then try to work is some exercise...start slow and build up. Keep posting to the DISboard this is a great support group. Lots of knowledge in these folks. Anyway the key to any life plan is moderation. Do not starve yourself. Do not deprive yourself. If you accidently fall off the wagon get right back on. It is a bad habit to say "well now I am off I might as well.....I will staart again on Monday". I am not preaching just trying to help. Lord knows I am not a poster child of perfect health (or annorexia ....LOL ) :thumbsup2

Here's my method. Stand on the scales, then have a CLOSE friend stand behind you and lift them.
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc If you can't find anyone to help, I'm sure my DH would volunteer.;)
